DP was just walking past a Chinese Herbalist store today and went in. He left the place £53 worse off and now our kitchen smells absoloutely horrendous. I do not want him to drink this stuff it looks truly awful. But the mug of brown grimness is sitting next to us now on the table! Does anyone know if it is safe to drink this?
The whole experience in the store was most strange and DP is now convinced the Doctor knew more about him than he cared for. After feeling his pulse and looking at his tongue - the Doctor asked if he had back problems (which he does) and also suggested he may have a weak kidney - which he is now very concerned about.
Does anyone know if these herbs help sperm morphology?
We will be asking Dr Riddel at Woking next week when we attend our first appointment.
My cat can't bear the smell of this stuff either. Please write back asap before he drinks this stuff ie. now!!!!!
Is their any pinjin written on it or just chinese characters?
(pinjin is the chinese version of an alphabet that they introduced in the 70's to help us poor foreigners try and learn the language)
If you have pinjin write it down and I'll check it out here. If it only has characters is there anyway you can take a picture and mail it to me?
It doesn't surprise me what you say about the chinese herbalist your DP met, A lot of them really do seem to be able to tell a lot about a person with very little information. But how much of that is true knowledge or just guess work I'm not sure.
Maybe the kidney thing was to try and get him to buy some more medicine, and most people have problems with their back, so its a safe thing to say.......There are some charletens, but a lot of people in china, chinese and foreigner's put a lot of faith in herbal doctors.
If your DP is worried it is better to get it checked out......worrying is energy sapping and drags you down, better if DP can get his mind settled about it.
As soon as you can send me some info about the foul smelling gucky stuff I'll get it checked out straight away.
PS most things that are good for you tastse bad, so thats a good sign.

My friends (who are chinese) got pregnant after both taking herbs. My friends DH had a low morphology, it started to go normal after taking Zinc. However, they only got pregnant when both on the herbs.
So I am seeing a chinese doctor too. I couldn't believe how bad the herbs taste but don't even notice the taste now. I'm also having acupuncture. I have been taking them for a few months. She said it may take over 3 months to work.
The chinese believe everything revolves around the kidneys which is why they ask about back pain etc. It is normal to take your pulse, check your tongue and ask these questions.

Hi Terri, just a quickie on the chinese herbs to say be careful.
When I had my appt with the clinic yesterday to re-start cycling again I mentioned that I was now doing acupuncture and I was told to ensure that when I was doing the drugs that the acupuncturist be told not to stimulate my ovaries. I was told of a woman who last week had to cancel her cycle due to OHSS as she was taking chinese herbs that were also stimulating her ovaries as well as the drugs.
You are probably aware of this but just in case I thought I should say something.
