Hello girls

There are so many of you testing I'm having trouble keeping up. Apologies if I don't get to write much on your test date threads. This is the best site ever and the support is amazing.

Bec - Hang in there and try to relax. After all you did get a + and your levels can rise. Thinking of you.

Thanks for all of your PMA. Feeling a little less stressed today. Going back for blood test on Friday, when hopefully things will have improved. Praying for late implantation as an explanation as opposed to ectopic/failing pregnancy! Am not at work for the rest of the week, rang my boss up in tears at 8am - am sure he's wondering what he did employing an emotional wreck. Shall occupy myself with Christmas Card writing and cooking DH a nice dinner

Hello Everyone,

I stumbled across this great site about a week ago as I began my 2ww and was dying for more information. I have been busy reading the posts and learning so much. We just started the process after we discovered my husband's swimmers had low scores in all three categories. The docs suggested we go straight to IVF-ICSI. Went through the process and ended up with two embies - 1 really strong and the second OK but not great.

My test date is Dec 12th. Could I be added to the list? I'ts so nice to not be alone in this!

I do have one question for you knowlegable ladies. The meds I am taking(Progeterone shot, Estrodil pill(sp?) twice a day) PREVENT me from having an AF. That doesn't seem to be the case for many of you - does anyone know why one method would be used over the others?

FYI if you are not already doing this I have found that icing the spot for the shot for 10 minutes beforehand is REALLY helpful (you do have to massage,warm up the area afterwards however so the oil can disperse) Also helpful, as mentioned before, taking a deep breath and then have the shot on the exhale. I nice kiss from the hubby afterwards is also good!

CAROLINE - CONGRATULATIONS AND ENJOY

LisaY - Welcome to the site. The girls are the best here for support. Unsure about your question as i took different medication to you. However i don't know if you get Emla Cream in the States but this numbs the area before you have the injection. I swear by it, it's the best.

Lisa - Hope you are ok and got a lovely BFP

Hi ladies-
Congratulations to all of you with BFP's, how exciting!

My test date is Dec 13th, can I be added to the list? We had 2 embies transferred on Dec 1st and I'm going crazy this time on the 2ww! I'm trying to stay relaxed but it seems like every day goes by so slowly. I've resisted the urge to try a HPT (I know I shouldn't for so many logical reasons!)...but mostly I haven't because I want to hold on to the + possibility.

Oh, and does anyone have any advice...the progesterone shots are the worst this time. My bum is getting so sore that it hurts every time I go to sit/stand. I've been using ice before and then putting a heating pad on afterwards. Thanks in advance.

And lots of baby dust!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

hi ladies
its been aweek today since i had et and my boobs are absolutly killing there saw all the time i have to hold them when i go up and down stairs its like someone standing with a knife stabbing them any one else experiance this?

Hi IVF21,

I had my transfer on the 25th (blood test not until the 12th! 18 days of waiting!) Initally they felt sore, then nothing, then at night I would get these stabbing pains on the sides of them, I almost gasped for breath, then the next day nothing, then next day sore. Same thing with the ovararies one day sore and bloated, next day nothing. Go figure!

While I would like to believe that they are symptoms of something good

I am writing it off to the medications.

I've seen various posts complaining about the shots.

Everybody seems to take them in the thighs or back side. I had all in the tummy-fat. After about a week some caused little bruises but they hardly hurt at all and I was almost never sore after.

Wonder why the difference!?!

Congrats to all of the smilies!! I just returned from being out of town and am nervous and anxious about tomorrow's test. I feel absolutely no symptoms, except being tired, which could be attributable to the meds, I guess (my chest isn't even sore). I'm still trying to keep positive and will let you know tomorrow.

Keep up the supportive comments - they really help!
