Thanks you again guys for helping me get through another BFN. I don't know if I should have waited a least a month to do it again. But I felt that it would help me get through the holidays. My RE said I didn't have any cysts so I could go ahead and cycle on Repronex again. DH & I are willing to try the IUI route up to 5 times before we go back to IVF/ICSI again. So again, we'll have to keep our fingers crossed & hope for the best. :D

Hi,

Sorry to barge in - I usually post on the over-40s thread - I'm doing IVF but this time around my follicles haven't responded as they usually do and I only have 2 decent sized follicles, 1 coming up and the others are tiny! I thought this might happen as I'm exhausted after 2 miscarriages this year.

The question I have for you lot is, they're saying don't go ahead with EC, it's not worth it for 2/3, but so as not to waste what's there do IUI. I've never done it so I don't understand what's going on - they said don't bother getting any more drugs - just come back on Monday, which would be my normal EC day - and have a scan and maybe do it then and maybe wait 1/2 days. Do I need to take ovitrelle or do I wait to ovulate naturally? I don't know what's going on!

Cheers,

Lara

i would say that yes IUI would be an option for as so u dont waste a cycle. I woudl say yes, wait til natural ovulation occurs. you will need to buy a Ovulation test kit. wait for LH surge and then go in have the sperm inseminated to the cervix and up into the urterus.

Or your clinic may scan u to see whether ov will happen and when,

go for it I say xx Good Luck xx

Best of luck Lara.

May as well do IUI. That's how many follies they like to see for that anyways.

Like Nicki said, watch for your natural surge, and that's when you go in. If they want you to take the Ovidrel, they'll let you know.

Thanks everyone for your feedback - very helpful and useful.

today I had IUI done - went in for scan and I was in process of ovulating so I had it done there and then. It was all a bit stressy - my DP had to dash in and do it on the way to Liverpool and my DS was with us as he was off sick from school, so he had to sit in the waiting room on his own while I had it done! All very last minute and weird.

Anyway it's done so let's see what happens. And thanks again for all your support everyone, and good luck to everyone with all your attempts as well.

Hi Nicki,

Today is CD 7 for me. Just had my follow-up scan and bloodwork done. Now I'm thinking I should have waited another cycle.... I had bloodwork to check my hypothyroidism,...unfortunately my levels low so my doctor has to adjust my Synthroid dose. I was told it's best my thyroid is under control before I get pregnant because it's either it'll be hard for me to conceive or even if I do, it may result in a m/c  How r u?

Smita,

Hello. How are you and your baby doin'?

Lara,
So you're on your 2 ww. Hang in there. Hope you get a :D :D :D

Denise,
How's it goin'?

Hello IUI buddies.

Keeping up the PMA. Thank goodness for the support of all of you. You'll be the first to know when the info comes back.

Sorry about all the mystery with my test date.. just being superstitious and not counting any of those chickens before they hatch.
