Everyones Due Dates

Dear all

Just a very qick post as this is our first night at home with the twins.

Ended up being kept in hosipital after going for a check up as my legs had swelled up & the BP had gone through the roof, had an emergency C-section on 9th November which caused serious complications but resulted in the birth of Kathryn (Katie) an Elinor (Ellie) born at 19.19 and weighing in at 4lb 13ozs and 4lb 2ozs respectively.

The girls were kept in the neo-natal unit for 2 weeks & I spent the time on various drips & with tubes all over the place.

The good side is that it gave us all time to recover & get well together & they finally let us out today.

A full story with gruesome details to follow as I have two nappies to change & two hungry girls to feed.

DH has been brilliant and has discovered a talent for winding/burping the babies that I don't seem to possess.

PS. Everything has definitely been worth it - they are both adorable (but I would say that wouldn't i?)

No - we've decided we want the surprise. I was desperate to know at the beginning, but have to say that now I'm quite happy to wait - the only problem is "pink" or "blue"?

That was the same for us - I wanted to know and DH didn't. He won!!!

At 28 weeks I move over to the 3rd Trimester so not long to go.
