40 plus

Post by Mandy 7 »

Anyone else out there who's 40 plus and going through IVF? I feel as if time is running out. I'm 43 (just!), my husband's 36 and we're undergoing IVF attempt no.2 It's Day 14 - big test tomorrow - and I've had some spotting. Any advice? If we get a BFN tomorrow, we've got two frozen embryos left with this cycle but I've been advised that, if that isn't successful, we need to consider egg donation. The statistics are grim but we really are hoping. Is there anyone out there who's survived spotting or anyone whose had success 40+? I'd really appreciate some advice.

hi Mandy and welcome to the site. You might like to join the over 40 thread on the general forum. There are lots of ladies there going through IVF.

I am 42 and going for a short cycle protocol in January. This website had been an absolute godsend in terms of information and support.

Good luck with your tmt

Hi Mandy, sorry for late reply. Have you worked out how to join a thread yet?
Just click on general forum and choose a thread you are interested in, there are lots to choose from , the 'over 40 crowd' or 'december buddies'
Just click on thread, then click on post reply, just like with the intro one you did!
How did your test go, did AF show up ?

Good luck
