hi all
i was wondering if any one can help me....i know there have beeen so many posts on bleeding but i thought i would post another one...
at 11 weeks i woke up to find i was bleeding heavily which continued the next day and then settled to brown blood and then brown discharge....had a scan and both babies were fine and growing! since that bleed i have been getting continous brown discharge which varied between dark and light brown....then at 12.5 weeks i started bleeding again which settled to a brown bleed after the first day, its now day 3 since the bleed and im still getting brown bleed and when i wipe it seems there are brown bits on the tissue! sorry tmi!
i have a scan tomorrow, but im so worried as to why this keeps happening and what could be the cause....i await to hear from someone......

I had brown discharge at 6-8wks ish - maybe a bit longer and my hospital said it was very normal - they didn't do an extra scan or anything they were so convinced. I'm afraid I didn't have red blood but if you've had a scan and they both look fine that sounds good and if you have another scan today hopefully that will ease your mind a bit. Sorry for no reasons why - I was just told it was not at all unusual - I put mine down to changing my progesterone pessaries from back to front - if you get my meaning (don't want to go overboard with the description!). I have also just been experiencing brown discharge, I am 8 weeks pregnant, last week I saw some red blood then it turned to brown, obviuosly I was very scared so booked myself in for an ultrasound, my baby looked fine, the doctor did see 2 areas of blood though and said thats what I am probably experiencing.
You have had a scan and your babies look fine so try not to worry, I know its harder said than done though. Hope your scan goes ok today.

thanks for your replies....had a scan today and all seemed ok! just dont understand! they said there is a small bruise like thing near the placenta which is probably casuing the bleeding! well i suppose at least this is some explanation!

Hello, I'm Sandra- new to this message board! I very nearly didn't reply to this because I don't want to bring anyone down or worry anyone.
We've just been through our 2nd ICSI. (first time failed). Been trying for 6years- well my test date was 11th dec- it was positive so you can imagine week last sunday was the best day of my life (and I was 5 weeks pregnant)- but I was brown spotting everyday from 4 weeks- only light- teh clinic told me not to worry - justthe embryo implanting. (I was out of my mind with worry)- this wed (14th dec)- the brown spotting got heavier and later I started bleeding at work- (I ran out of work in tears)- we went to hospital where they checked me over and gave me blood test, teh doc said we had 'threatened abortion' our chances were 50/50. The bleedign didn't stop and by next day (thursday afternoon- I knew it was all over- and Iknew it would have been twins-). second blood test friday showed HCG had dropped and we had a failing pregnancy- within 1 week I had had the best day and the worse day of my life -we were devastated. We're pulling ourselves together- but the difficult thing is the wait for the next go. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy...I hope none of you ever go through this.
