It sounds like everyone is very busy. Glade to hear that good things are happining!!!

Rachel1- I'm in Rome. Yes the climent is rather good hear. Kind of like back home. I am orginaly from California, San Francisco. My husband is from Rome.

This last week is the worst. It's like every little pain or twitch you feel you think means something. I go crazy thinking if that is bad or good. Comparing it all to the first time. And thinking that it's not working!! But then trying to just keep a PMA!! 3 more days!!!

We'll I hope those on their 2ww are doing better!!

I just had my IUI done yesterday. This is my 4th DIUI. I had two natural ones first and this time around it's my 2nd medicated IUI cycle with Repronex.

Hello December Buddies,

reachl1- congrats, and good luck on your next scan.

Well I wish i had good news to tell all of you but I don't. I woke up to AF this morning. Soooooo disapointed. Didn't cry as much as the first time but still it hurt and I guys I was more prepared. The Dr. said not to take the blood test just to visit him when AF is done.

DH want's to try again in the summer. I just don't know if I can do it again. It just takes so much out of me that I don't know if I can go through a nother failed attempt. i am sure there are lots of women out there that are going through the same thing I am Please tell me how to get through this roller coster ride and want to go through the ride again at the end!!!!

Thanks for all the support and for taking the time to respond. I just needed to let it all out to someone would understand how I am feeling.

Hello girls. Hows everyone doing? Been in bed since ET on Monday. Finally get a chance to use to net. Well I had 2 blastocysts transfered on Monday and now test day is boxing day. What a long wait. Gutted that there was abslolutely none to freeze

i know how you feel, take time out though and have a holiday ( if you can afford one as IVF is so expensive). Hopefully in a while you will feel like starting again to think about ivf, and then take it all a day at a time. We may be scan buddies by then. Sometimes we forget how much the stress effects our partners/hubbies. Mine folded a week after BFN, he just needed more hugs for a while.

kangome- Glad to hear that you have rested..keep it up. Hopefully all embies are bedding in nicely now, give them hugs from all of us

Rachel- good luck with tomorrows scan...sending the follie fairy to you... She hovers around a lot until ER, catch the dust and grow these follies...

Elle- happy and swift 2ww to your BFP...

well, nothing like a visit to the hospital to keep the rollercoaster in motion. i was feeling so positive after wednesday because i had 4 tiny follies but today the scan showed only my old faithful of one growing. the others have remained too small. the doc upped my meds to 300 but said she didn't think it would make any difference. they'll go ahead with ER seeing as it's my second time with only one. i can't believe my body is letting me down so badly. it's just so unfair.

jeni, thanks for the follie fairy. i desperately need her. how are you keeping?

jennie, so sorry it didn't work out this time. i know you don't want to go through another failed attempt but just remember that the next one could be positive. take care of yourself and DH and good luck in whatever you decide to do.

i hope the upped drugs help...i was on 350 gonal on a short protocol and it really helped me...Good luck hoping that all the follies grow before next scan ...
I am doing okay. Busy back at work and sorting out all the festive stuff for Christmas. I have a consultant meeting on the 27th jan and we will look at next step towards further tmt. probably May or June 2006...

Hello everyone,

We received very sad news. None of my eggs fertilized We were eleated yesterday. I had a full egg count of 8. Today no embies. They did a rescue ICSI, but I've heard this is not much to hope for. So sad. Tomorrow we'll call in the AM to see if any late ICSI worked.

I'll write more later when my mood is brighter.

I hope other peoples cycles are going better. Rachel hold onto that egg. I'm sendng follie fairies your way.

Hi Ladies

What a manic week. I am now back at home. I haven’t been able to get onto the computer much as we have been staying at a friends house whilst this whole procedure has been going on. ET was Saturday and they transferred one embie! They told me I am technically pregnant (anyone else been told this!) so test date is 28th Dec. They took 15 eggs and fertilised 13. 12 got to 8 cell so 11 have been frozen – we were amazed! I think we have thrown disrupted their statistics!!

I was terribly bloated after EC. It is only today, nearly a week later that I am feeling better. They told me I do have mild OHSS. Embarrasingly I have been really really constipated. I have eaten prunes galore, prune juice, banana on toast, fruit galore, sugared water, licorise. In the end I ended up having 20 kiwifruit mushed up in the blender!!!!!! I think the clinic said my constipation was something to do with my electrolytes being affected (not sure why) so I am drinking sports drinks galore and I am sooo thirsty even though I am having my 2l a day. To top it all at the moment I am having trouble breathing. I feel as if I am in a swimming under water and I am running out of air. So I feel better lying down. But the clinic know about it and say they are all symptoms of the OHSS and if I am pregnant they could increase as time goes on so we are staying in touch. I so don’t want to go into hospital over Christmas as we are going away to DH’s family. Fingers crossed though for a BFP.

Jennie sorry to hear AF arrived. Take a break over the holidays and look at things afresh in the New Year. You can do this I realise it is such a knock back but you will be strong again. PMA to you and a big hug.

Kangome – how are you feeling – hows the 2ww going? Not too long to go now!

Jeni – hows it going? All set for Christmas?

Rachel1 – It may be one follie but it only takes one – keep up the PMA and good luck with scans and EC

Daly – my poor dear Daly – I feel for you as we went through exactly the same thing 8 eggs and a BF zero fertilised. You must be devastated – all that effort and for nothing. It does get better I promise you, however I did feel so angry and upset. They tried ICSI for us straight away after our BFZF and we just got 12 fertilised all at 8 cell. It will come right hon. Take time out over Christmas and 2006 will be your year.

Smita, Pam, Molly B and all sorry if I have missed anyone – I hope things are good. Not long until Christmas!!
