I'm gonna test this Christmas but I'm scared so I'm thinking of testing after. I don't want ruin my Christmas with a negative.

I'm not testing on Christmas Day itself but on the 28th. I can understand you must be frought with emotion for testing on such a memorable day.
Personally if I were you and had to test on Christmas Day I would wait a couple of days. Think of it as a belated Christmas present.
Also I presume you will have to use a HPT and from what I have seen they don't give accurate results. Why not wait until a clinic opens and have a blood test?
I'll be thinking of you and looking out for your BFP!

I'm also testing at christmas although our clinic is open for an hour on christmas day and would do the test we are waiting untill the 27th to test. How are you girls feeling any symptoms I'm hugely bloated and only one pair of pants that are usually to big will fit me JUST. all the best for christmas let us know how your going.

hi Jag! My doctor gave me an ultra sensitive urine HPT, she told me to test on that first then go in on the 27th for qualitative beta. Clinic is also closed on the 26th 
hi Jomae! I think this is the only Christmas I'd spend on pins and needles. Although, I'm hoping I'd get a ++++++; I'm pretty much scared to test...ha!ha! good luck to us.

It will be a strange Christmas won't it!
KikayC it will be ok - you will get a fab Christmas pressie - I asked Santa at the shopping mall the other day and he said of course your BFP was already packed onto the sleigh.
Jomae - good luck to you - Santa also said you were going to get a belated crimbo pressie.
I am feeling really bloated - the top two buttons on my jeans are undone and I can't breathe very well. I am in touch with the clinic and they told me to keep an eye on it. It will all be worth it in the end though!
We are going to DH's family for Xmas and they live 1.5 hours from a blood lab. Normally the local doctors would take a blood sample and courier it over to the blood lab, but because it is Christmas week my clinic don't want to risk it (nor do I!). So we will have to drive there on the 28th and then they will fone my clinic who will then fone me - oh boy!!
Its going to be a good Christmas for us all

God if i could only burp my guts are so bloated that i nearly have to walk around naked due to nothing to wear lucky we live in the country anyone else feel as crappy as i do Iv'e read somewhere in one of these sites that ohss is a good sign but who knows. My dh is on me and on me to do a hpt test he can't stand to wait anymore. Anyone know how long those HCG boosters (pregnyl) stay in your system and will the progesterone pessaries give a false reading. To me surely we start counting down the 14 days from egg pick up because thats when the eggs are fertilized and ovulation happened where our doctor is counting 15 days from egg transfer which for me was 3 days after Ec and will be then make it 18 days after ovulation.
