Hi

My mum gave me some pink and white stripey toe socks for christmas and Traci you have given me a great idea. Next time I go for a scan I am going to wear them!! :D See if they say anything.

I am usually a socks on girl unless I have painted my toe nails and then they come off. So I suppose I am a bit of both.

Hi Girls,

I ended up in hospital a couple of days ago because I was bleeding really heavy and they done an internal and they told me to take my clothes on and get on the bed. I started to smile to myself because I left my socks on but couldn't believe I was thinking of the board too!!

Hi Trace,

Well I have to fit in with this site cus we are all nutters thats including you

Yeah I am ok, I did have a bit of a scare I got up on the morning to do Alex a bottle and I felt ok until I stood up, when I looked down I was covered in blood. I had used a sanitary towel x 2 and it had gone everywhere. My PJ's was soaked with blood and don't mean to be crude but it was all down my legs. Alex was crying for a bottle but I couldn't do him one I needed to go in the bath, but I just didn't have any energy.
Lee offered to come home from work but I said I would be ok, but then I got an emergency appointment at the gp and they sent me for a scan. I do still have some afterbirth inside but they have given me some more iron tablets hoping this will clear it up. I have been on Iron tablets since having the little one so I don't think they will help but least I best try them.

How you doing Traci?

Hi Shell

How scary that bleed must have been for you! Can't they get the rest of the afterbirth out? I had an injection after giving birth to Katelyn to expel the placenta, could you not have this?

I got anaemia too and have to have iron tablets. They have given me the runs and so I have cut them down to one a day instead of two. Not sure if that's allowed but I was never one to conform!

I hope you don't have any more scarey bleeds.

Big hug and kiss for Alex :D

Love Dagny xkx

I can't wait to wear my stripey toe socks for my next scan! How sad am I?

How awful - hope you are ok!

Dagny - try upping the vit c with meals and this helps absorb iron.

Socks on def - too flaming cold without - I once wore mine for transfer and they thought it so funny but it was blooming cold in there and it worked!!! So def on
As for blocked tubes - I have them - the ovaries float and are very easy to see on scans

Socks on!!!!!

I even considered wearing my socks that have toes (like fingers on gloves) just to see if I got a reaction. Chickened out though :D

Nicki, I keep my socks on. And I wear the fancy ones with weiner dogs or penguins on them.

I've gone sockless in the summer, but I shudder to think of how many bare feet have padded across those rooms. I definitely prefer the socks on.

And I definitely shave, as otherwise I feel bad for the people who have to touch it....
