hi All,

So sorry to read all the sad news that's been posted, baby dust to all who are really feeling the pinch.
Try to stay positive and please don't give up - you were all amazingly supportive when i went through my 2nd FET and when it finally worked I couldn't wait to tell you all in the hope that it might give hope to others out there.
I know I still need to get through the next 8 weeks, but i draw my strenght from this site and wish you all the very best on your next rounds.

Good luck to all and remember that there are people out there from all over the world pulling for you.... :)

hello ladies

thanks waiting for your support. until now the decembies aren't having a great month it's true but hopefully the girls testing soon are going to change that.
good luck all you 2 wwkers, dizzie, kagome, eller..c'mon girls.
jag, well done on reaching the 2ww and on those 11 frosties. is nz ready for another football team?? best of luck sweetie, i've everything crossed for you.

daly, i'm so sorry about what you're going through. it will work out for you because you're producing eggs, 8 was great, it's just that the clinic didn't make the right call but next time round they will. unfortunately it's often trial and error and we're the guinea pigs in our own treatment. take some time out over christmas to recover from this. i know how upset you must be (((hugs))) and i'm thinking of you.

jen, sounds like you're taking a good break to get back in form. best of luck with that. have you done all your christmas shopping? if so, you're my hero..i've yet to start.

jennie, how are you doing?

as for me, i upped my meds and it did produce results because my follies are growing but 3 are still small and only one is a good size. i'm back in tomorrow for a scan so fingers crossed the others have caught up. i'll let you know.

take care everyone.

I haven't posted a message for quite a while- been feeling really down and quite despondent as a result of this treatment cycle failing. However, jsut wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas- and special good luck to all those who are testing in the next week or so- especially Jag and Kagome who are so supportive to everyone. Fingers crossed tightly for some BFPs!!!!!!!!!
All the best, and Merry Christmas

congratulations kagome. that's really fantastic news. i'm thrilled for you.

molly, so sorry that you're down. you need time to get over this. the black times always pass so don't give up hope, it will happen for you.

anna, any sign of AF?

had a scan today and low and behold there seem to be 6, possibly 7 follies, so i'm very happy today. doc said everything was looking really good and i go for EC on tuesday. i was beginning to think i'd never get there....i'm so relieved.

happy christmas everyone.

I'm so sorry I've been out. We had devastating news and I went numb last Friday. I think it shocked me all the more because I had no anticapation for bad news. My RE had basically guaranteed we'd have soem fertilize since I'd been pregnant so many times before. But. there's more to the story, later that day I called the lab to find out more info. They told us 6 had fertilized and 3 of those were normal! (other 3 abnormal) I was shocked. It's amazing how this can physically rip your heart out. No tears until I heard we had some live embies and I was a go for transfer. I literally was shaking. I sat in disbelief and on pins and needles until transfer day. We arrive and I'm braced for smaller poor growing embies (at best). Turned out we had 3 8 CELLED embies and a surprise 4th with 5 cells!!! WE tranferred them all. I feel they are miracles to just have made it this far. My RE said he had never seen this before. The eggs weren't fertilized until the 16th hour post retrieval.

Thank you all so much for everyone's support through this. Jag and Rachel your kind words mean the world to me. So many studies have been done to show a better outcome for women in support groups. This site is so wonderful.

Rachel - YEAH! Your follie fairie is coming through!! We poor repsonders are making a come back! Good luck on EC.

Dizzie and Kagome - Thrilled for you both!!What a great Christmas present!

Jag - I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Sounds like you had a fabulous retrieval, but that OHSS sounds miserable. I think my test date is now the day after yours. (since my eggs fertilized late everything is pushed back a day on my cycle) I'm not sure what they mean by saying we are techinically pregnant now, but my clinic told me the same thing. I guess the test is to see if we "stay" pregnant.

Molly - I'm sending you some warm California sunshine to help your spirits. My guts were ripped out when I thought I didn't even get to have a shot at ET. This affects so much more than we can ever anticipate. Hugs to you.

Anna - Sending AF vibes to get things shaking for you!

Huge Christmas hugs to everyone - Smita, Jennie, Pam and all Decemberites!! (my memory is shot with these hormones) Image

Thanks everyone for your kind and supportive messages. I am feeling better now after a fun Christmas Day and loads of spoiling from my DH! I am now looking forward to the New Year and starting another IVF cycle in February.
I hope that everyone is okay and that you had a good day yesterday.

daly, that is truly amazing!! you must be thrilled. these embies are so determined to make it through that you've definitely got to get a BFP!! when exactly are you testing? your story just goes to show that you should never give up hope because miracles do happen!

molly, glad to hear you're feeling better. keep up the pma for february.

i had EC yesterday and it went well. they got 5 eggs and DH's swimmers are good enough for IVF. the docs had been considering ICSI but after seeing the quality of everything decided on IVF. they'll call us tomorrow morning to tell us when to come for ET so in the meantime i'm concentrating on sending fertilizing vibes to the clinic.

hope everyone had a great christmas. it's snowing here!

take care everyone.

Rachel,

Good luck for ET today, I'll be thinking of you. Are you getting all 3 embies put back, or just two? We got two put back and one is frozen for use another time.

So far pregnancy is fine. Don't really feel anything out of the ordinary except my boobs kill me at night. It's still very early days yet, and fingers crossed, in another few weeks if everythings going well, I expect to have 'proper symptoms'.

Take care and I hope everything went well today.
