A Poem for the 2ww .......

Well girls, we're on the the two week wait Just 14 days to know our fate We'll tear our hair, we'll feel each pain And worry til we go insane We'll pray & hope, then hope & pray That this time we will get our way We'll drink huge lakes of water daily And pop those pessaries quite gaily We'll rest and read those magazines All full of pregnant beauty queens We'll watch the telly, trash and all And hope that AF doesn't call Then comes the day, if we get that far When we might embrace that distant star So best of luck to all my pals Cos you are just fantastic gals !! Jo well done you - I have firmly put away the birch twigs and got out the singing knickers - couldn't they have been put into rhyme or is that a bit too much to ask for. Are you back at work? - or should I say work in the loosest possible meaning of the word! Take care Love Tracey xxx

Tracey, I so wanted to use your singing knickers (in a manner of speaking!) but can you think of anything that rhymes with knickers cos I can't?? Yeah back at work and regretting it to be honest. Am trying to take it easy which physically is possible but mentally its the same stress as ever - gross. Great to hear from you - lots of love, Jo. XXX

Jo, that is fantastic and completely spot on! I have forwarded it on to my Mum, girlfriends etc, as it sums the 2ww! Thank you, it was so good it made me cry! Have you any more poems up your sleeve, you could write a book! Good luck with treatment. D x

you're so kind. I'm a bit of a poetry person as it happens. Once at junior school I wrote a poem about Christmas that contained the line : " a king should be born in a palace fine not here, amongst the goats and swine" and then I had to read it out in assembly and i was SO ASHAMED to have to say "SWINE" in front of the whole school - I went completely red and made a big hash of it. Ahh the innocence of it all - now I'm quite happy to say swine, and far worse, although anything beyond bugger still makes me blush a bit. On day 4 of the 2ww - keep going everybody!!
