Hey Jo,

Bloating could be a great sign I reckon!!..maybe there's two little embies tucking themselves in for the next nine months..our first aussie-kiwi thread twins maybe?????..I reckon the hpt's are hard to avoid, but best avoided if you can manage it. (easier said that done though I know!!)..Make sure you keep us posted OK?!?!?!?!

Tiger, you're a star, I think this thread is a real testiment to you and your enthusiasm and support for us aussie and kiwi chicks!!..thank you for pulling us all together like you have.

Take good care all

Hi everyone - great to catch up on what you are all up to - belated bon voyage to all those travelling, and a safe and happy christmas. We have just moved into our new house, so have been a bit busy of late - understatement! - but have finished up at work, which is great. Dr is happy, as blood pressure has returned to happier level, despite moving and the weather warming up, so I really feel that I have made the right decision finishing earlier than I had planned.

Baby continues to swap between head up and head down - today, head up, feet down, (might explain the kicking on the bladder) which Dr says is called a footling breach - some murmers about having to consider a caeser if she does not move - we will cross that bridge when we come to it, still another eight weeks to go, so hopefully some more somersaults will see things up the other way.

The kids are really excited about having christmas in the new house - this is the first christmas we have had in Melbourne for 4 years, with family in Perth and Tassie, so it was great to dust off the decorations and set up the tree this week.

Tomorrow is forecast 36 degrees (Tiger, wishing I was with you!), so stay cool all those who are out and about, and enjoy this time of year.

Hey gals,

Josie, lovely to hear from you. Annie used to do summersaults as well, one week she'd be up, then next down, really hurts when they kick you in the bladder doesn'it it!. Congrats on your move as well, sounds like you've got a lot going on in your life right at this stage. I'm currently in Sydney with mum and dad, it's 39 degrees today..YUCKKKKKK!!!, but I have to say I love a warm Christmas, and it sound slike we'll all be getting one this year!

Jo, yayayayay!!, sounds like a BFP is coming our way..also sounds like you're under the weather a tad..I wonder if there's two little embies settling in??? Please let us know as soon as you get your official results!

Tiger, you must be in the UK by now, hope you have a fabulous time.

Merry Christmas to all

hi girls

It's official WE ARE PREGNANT the doc said they like to see your beta level to be around 200 ( I think it's called Beta level ) ours was 470 so it's looking super great. I think were a bit in denial though like it hasn't set in yet for me anyway for Dh he says it's now opened a whole new bag of stress making it to the next test to see if the numbers go up, and so on. But it's all good and were certainly thankful for all your support and well wishes sorry this is short still not feeling good yet i nearly fell of the scales last night when i looked to see im carrying an extra 6 and a half kilos of fluid i presume, hopefullly this will start to subside soon. thanks again for your chats i will keep writing to see how everyone else is doing.

hope your all having a great holiday

Hi Girls,

I have been off for a while now (feels like months!), and I've just been cathcing up on all your news.

Firstly - Jo...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I cried when I was reading your posts...because I knew you would have already tested when I started reading your 2ww threads, I was on the edge of my seat. I am so utterly thrilled for you & DH. All the best for the next 8 months.

Tiger - I know you're already in the UK, and from what I have seen, I'm sure you're enjoying a COLD time :-)

Bel - how are you? Are you still set for Feb cycle?

After moving back to our old apartment in Syd from Brisbane, working (even though I'm on holidays) and Chrissy, I fell like this December has been a whole year! I went to see a new doctor at Sydney IVF, and she seems fantastic. It seems like we have a battle ahead - she said because of my severe OHSS before, I am about a 10% chance of getting OHSS again instead of the usual 1%. For this reason she wont transfer 2 embies, so our little dream of twins is kinda gone now.

Anway, we are trying again in Feb!!! I absolutely cannot wait, and am having a new person start at work with me, so I can actually take some leave & not work during it!!!! We are so excited, but I have to admit, the feeling that this will one day end in a pregnancy is becoming an impossible dream. But....fingers crossed! Bel...I hope we are cycling together??!!!

All the best everyone, and I promise to keep up now that the silly season is nearly over!

Now, to start that post silly season detox.....

Bella.

#2&3 FET both -ve

Hey Bella,
Glad that you are settled back in Sydney, it's such a great city..Also pleased that you're happy with your new IVF doctor, she sounds excellent. The twins dream was always there for us too, and don't get me wrong, we would have welcomed twins with open arms..But..we found a newborn really really hard work, I got post natal depression which made it even harder, a couple of times we found ourselves saying "how do people do this with twins????"..and I know that parents really do well with twins, they love the challenge and find that ultimately the two kids entertain each other etc etc..What will be will be I guess!!..You are well and truly on the way to parenthood now, it's an exciting road. I have my appointment with Marianne on the 10th of Feb, as it's a natural cycle I'll then need to wait for the LH surge to indicate that I have ovulated, so may not in reality be until March when I have my embie (also just the one) transferred..
Take care all

Hi Girls
Hope everyone is well.

Bella thanks for your good wishes, we still can't quite beleive it's worked as you could expect we are now hanging out for our next blood test which is this tuesday to see if things are progressing as they should (here's hopeing) My OHSS is finally starting to settle down it's still a bit of effort to do to much and still find it hard to sit and lay certain ways. I'm actually carrying an extra 6 or so kilos which i presume is fluid which as you can imagine is quite uncomfortable but it's begining to ease which is a relief.
It's good news to hear you are happy with your new doctor I'ts always helps if you like them and can therefor trust their judgement better. I know with us we found it a bit uneasy our doc seemed to be just pushing us out the door we actually had better conversations with his secretary and found her to be more helpful with questions. Anyway it sounds like your off to a good start and maybe the change is what will make it work for you this time.

BelB hope you had a great time with your family.

Hey Tiger I so wish I was with you It's stinking hot here hope your having a great time.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a safe New Year

Hey Bella
Just something for thought you say the doc will only put one back in well theres no saying that after this cycle works with the one embie that you couldn't have two put back with a frozen embie transfer surely theres less risk of ohss then. So doesn't that mean that you'll still have your chance you'll just have to have one bundle before your two.

take care jo
