I am 35 and just starting my first IVF cycle. My best friend did IVF about a year and a half ago and has beautiful 8 month old twins to show for it so after much discussion and prayer, my DH and I decided to give it a try since nothing else has seemed to work!!! I look forward to talking to other people in our situation!!! It seems like there are so few people who don't look at you like an alien when you talk about it!

Welcome to the Boards Melissa. You will find so much support on here, ask as many questions as you like, someone will be able to answer them for you :D How far into your IVF cycle are you?

Hows the fitness going Nicki ? I dont particularly enjoy the gym but each time I go I think that it will do me good and may even help the fertility.

Hi to everyone else. I havent been on here much recently, just been licking my wounds after my BFN, feeling more positive now though.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is ok. Me i am just waiting for next af (end jan) and then hopefully a fet around the middle of February.

I had a biochem pregnancy in oct and my next 2 af have been 37 days and then 35 days, before treatment i was a 28 day girl. has anyone had this happen to them? Just worried incase it means that the drugs are still in my system.
thanks

Wishing you all the best

love

Sue
i had the same problems... it's the drugs. In JULY they knocked out my system for about 3 AF's and went back to normal. In DEC I did a short protocol of ivf but this time AF was fine usual 28 days! with a short there is no down reg so i think that was to blame...hope this helps :)

love jen

Hi everyone

Just wanted to join this thread, as I’m a 37 y.o. in the 2 WW, wondering why the clock hasn’t moved in 4 days. My husband and I decided (more to the point I decided) it would be best not tell a soul of our IVF journey - to avoid dealing with the disappointment and pity of others, if -ive. (My mum and dad know we’re considering it but don’t know we’ve started it).

I have given myself 4 months off work, I travel for a living (on Cruise Ships) and staying at home all day doing next to nothing, except obsessing over every cyberspace article I can find on the "IVF luteal phase" is driving me crazy. Any ideas for keeping busy at home? (low impact activity of course)
