IUI vs. IVF in male factor infertility

Post by Leilani1 »

Hi!

I'm new here. I posted in introductions section my story so far. We have MFI

1st SA Count:13mil/ml, motility 23%, morph 6% Kruger
2nd SA Count:19mil/ml, motility 29%, morph 8% Kruger
3rd SA Count:36mil/ml, motility 36%, morph 2% Kruger

and dr. sugessted that we may try IUI, before he said we should consider going strait to IVF. What do you think? Anyone out there with MFI doing IUI?

Thanks
Leilani

Ive done 3 IUI's using a donor sperm ( Dh has azzospermia) all sadly
-ive.
But I know heaps of ppl who have had success, so I guess our time wasnt right....
The sucess rate is higher with ivf, but it's lot more invasive, iui is relatively easy. IUI is cheaper too, I guess U will have to weigh up everything and see what fits best with u and dh, Good Luck with whatever you choose xxx
TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!
