Hi...I'm new to this whole thing but I have been reading a lot of these message boards and was dying to ask my questions. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 1 and 1/2 years and we just went through insemination on December 19th. I am due to have my period any day now. I'm usually 26-28 days/cycle. Anyways, I'm so scared that I'm getting my period but don't know. I have been reading a lot about implentation bleeding. I went to the doctor 3 days ago but they said it was too early to determine pregnancy. My progesterone went up from 1.5 last week to 29 this week. I have had stomach pains (not nausea) and my nipples are VERY sore. I have been very gassy and have had little cramps the past week. I started spotting today-but not blood just pinky/brown mucous. I have also taken 3 pregnancy tests this week..one this morning and all were negative. If I don't get my period this weekend I am suppose to go to the doctor on Tuesday for a blood test. I just don't know what to look for. Any comments out there would help. Thanks!

My period did come and since then I've had another IUI that didn't work. We are actually doing it again this month. So I'm hoping third time is the charm. I also started clomid so Im hoping that will have some affect. Best of luck to you to!!!!

I am sorry, that still no joy....... Youve had 2 iui's???

Ive had 3, have consultation in March, but really think I want to do IVF now!!!

Hi gmd!

I'm just new to the site, was reading through and saw your post. DH and I are off to the clinic tomorrow for our 4th IUI...keeping fingers x'd!
Good luck to you...when is your next try? We are trying w/o drugs so far...and are using donor.

It's so hard...every time I try to be patient, but my hopes are high, and then, BFN! So hopefully tomorrow is our lucky day.

All went well...you know, the usual...feet in the air, 20 mins (this time they gave me 25 for good measure!), then back home. It's raining here today, the nurse says it's good luck...a sign of new beginnings.

Happy thoughts, and yes, my test date is the 20th (19th is a Sunday, so blood clinic will be on Monday).

So we went through our 3rd insemination this morning. I was on clomid and then had an HCG shot yesterday. This is all new to me...Anyways, we're hoping for the best!! I have actually started thinking about acupuncture. One of my friends has it done and she says lots of women go for infertility. I called a clinic the other day and talked to a really nice receptionist who actually is going through the same thing. She said it hasn't worked for her yet but seems to help everyone else coming in. If anyone has any ideas or experience with acupuncture let me know. My husband thinks I'm nuts wanting to try it!!!!!

i just joined today - had first IUI with injectables on 12/23 which failed. Began a new cycle today and will start injectables again this week. I too have been considering accupuncture - i wonder what the success rates are with it. Anxious to hear if your third try is the charm - keeping my fingers crossed for you !

im waiting to start IUI probably not until about May.

I am not looking forward to the tww after insemination, i remember when we tried for a year naturally before we found out hubby was sterile, every period, a huge dissapointment, im not looking forward to facing all that again. I know how it feels. we have to drive 6 hours or fly to our clinice so each try will be very expensive and very taxing emotionally.
