JenC, good luck with it all. Your meds sound like a lot to get your head around. I am just thankful mine are once a day at the moment. I think you are great coping with more. 'Downtown' sounds so exotic and gives the impression of you having to travel a long way.

Sophie, I take it all back about shutting myself in. We were supposed to be going just for the last hour tonight and I can't bring myself to. Shooting up in a public loo is just a step too far at the moment. We are going out tomorrow and I'm determined to go as we'll lose our deposit, though I don't really want to. I want to be home early though.

DH is being a star. I had to laugh though. On my first, very traumatic attempt at the injections, he offered to do them. I said OK. As he sat on the bed he shuddered and said "Yeuch"!! Image Funnily enough I managed them myself-I couldn't cope with having to sooth his nerves. He is now being extremely thankful for saving him a daily trial. Cheeky thing.
Jeck, good luck on 12th. I really hope it doesn'e hurt. Why do you need a trial?

Hello everyone.

I am so fed up - I have just spent ages typing a message and then lost it just as i had finished it. Aagh!

Having a pretty bad day all round really. Have spent all day tiling our kitchen yet when DH (not so dear today) returned home he didn't even comment. We are not getting on so well at the moment. Perhaps it's the stress. Also, my poor cat is likely to be put to sleep tomorrow. Poor thing - she is 24 (!) and has always been part of our family but she's not well at all.

DH collected all my syringes today. I think I'll inject him with water everyday so that he knows how it feels. Last IVF he didn't even stay in the room as he was too squeamish although he would never admit it.

On a lighter note, i have put a bid on ebay for Romeo and Juliet soundtrack CD so hopefully I will win it tonight. I am also going to watch Celebrity Big Brother in a minute to see if i recognise any of the z-list celebs.

jenc - i hope you get your appt for downtown saturday. How exciting - keep us posted!
Jeck - Good luck for the suppression check and trial ET next week!!!!!
Lynne - You made me laugh when you mentioned 'shooting up in a public loo'!!! Image no doubt you'll be doing it soon if you go far from home. I hope you have a good night tomorrow night. You never know, perhaps it'll be one of those nights where you expect the worst but end up having a great time. i know what you mean though. It's a crappy feeling isn't it!?

Bye for now!

Hello all!!!

Lynn & Sophie thanks so much for the well wishes!!!

Lynn, I hope you have a good time out; you most likely need it more than you know!

Sophie, I am sending you good thoughts for your cat. I know what it is like to have to put a dear pet to sleep...

On the trial transfer question. I live in the US and at my clinic they do a trial transfer so that they can address any problems they may have and they measure your uterus and all that fun stuff... So that the real deal will run as smooth as possible! Since this is my first time I will let you know more about it after the 12th!!

Funny you said that Sophie, my husband stuck himself in the stomach with one of my needles and said, "my God! You're right! It DOES itch!" LOL

Angeleyes, the nurses at my center haven't given me any measurements on my ovaries. I will ask tomorrow though....

Holy sh**! So I am definitely going downtown tomorrow morning. 7:30am. I am so nervous I could die!!!

They told me to considerably lower the dose on my meds, so I'm taking that to mean that I am ready for ET. I guess I will find out more tomorrow...

Nothing really new to report. The biggest follicle is 16 and the smallest is 13 and I guess they have to go to 20??? They will call me today and let me know what my hormone levels are....but since the other place never told me any of this, it will all be way over my head...

HI GUYS!!

Whaou!! so much happening here, i am trying to catch up with everyone but it is not easy!!

Holidays have been very busy, we had DH 3 youngest kids around. They went back to their mum on the 1st of JAn, and DH and I went few days to London where i did a bit of shopping ans saw a play. It was great!

Dh is leaving on Monday, he is going back to work and i will be on my own until mid Feb, which means going through the tmt , EC and ET on my own... not very funny but at least, Dh wont have to suffer with my mood swings... Hopefully my mummy is going to come over for a couple of weeks...

I should start the tmt at the end of next week, should a precise date soon.

I would like to welcome all the new buddies, Angela, Gina and all the others if i missed some
Gina, i think we are going to cycle together, or at least we will be very close!

Angeleyes, great news you have so many eggies!! it sounds great and i hope you will have many embies!

Allison, i am wishing you the best on your ET Tuesday!!

Lynne my evil buddy! how are you? Hope the tmt is going ok! those needles arent that bad are they!? DH went white when i showed him the needles and when i told him that i was having 1 a day! and he went green went i told him that i was doing it myself (he wasnt with me for the 1st tmt and wont be for this one, so he doesnt really know about the tmt)

Heather, i am so so sorry to hear about your news... i dont really know what to say... i am wishing you tons of patience and loads of luck to find a recipient... lots of love and take care dear...

Sophie! so sorry about your cat...dear, 24! i am sure she had a wonderful life...I am also some tiling at the mo, in the bathroom. I did the floor already, now i am doing the walls and next will be the kitchen floor!` I want to do all that before starting the tmt next week!! I hope things with your Dh will get better...sending you both many kisses and hugs!

I hope everyone else is doing great! wishing us many BFP!

Take care ladies!

Ok so the smallest follicle is 13 and the biggest 16. My E2 levels were at 964.

Does this mean anything to anyone??????

Jen,

Great job with the follies!!

Your E2 (estrodiol) is good. I think it needs to be over 200 and progesterone needs to be over 40.

Do you know when they will do retreival? Monday? Tuesday?

Good luck to you. I'm only a bit behind you.

Thanks for answering my question. I asked her and she said best guess would be Thursday.

So if mine is 964, will it keep increasing? No one at the other office explained any of this to me.

How many follicles am I supposed to have? How many eggs are usually in each follicle?

How far are you?

Jen,

I'm not sure if E2 will continue to increase. All I know is that there is a minimum and you have met that.

Hopefully there is 1 egg in each follicle. Sometimes there are no eggs in the follicle.

You are set up pretty good with 20 follicles.

Last time I had 17 follicles, 15 had eggs, 8 made it to fertilise, and 5 made it. (3-3 day and 2 blasts, which means they are 5days old before they freeze them or transfer them to you.)

Post by angeleyes »

jenc: what day of injections are u on now? i think i am the same timeline as u! have had 20 follies all around 17/18mm, my egg pickup is tomorrow morning! scary! last isci i had 14 follies and only 6 eggs 5 fertilsed and 3 kept dividing. none left for freeze. so im hoping for a few more to freeze this time!
Jacki: u had pretty good number of follies with eggs in them! congrats! did u acheive a pregnancy?

i guess i won't be online for a few days, i'll check back before egg transfer! talk soon
