It looks like I am going to start my 2nd ivf in Feb/Mar. I would like to join this group.... Please add my name to the Feb/Mar cycle buddies.

The ivf process has been a such roller-coast ride

Welcome Donna,

Sounds like you have had such a hard 4 years...I am sorry.
I am glad you joined and hope we can be a comfort, support and friends to you for what will hopefully be your BFP in Feb/March!!

You are close in age to me and it's hard dealing with infertility at such a young age, huh? I'll be praying for you guys!

Hi guys!

I am a Jan and feb buddy as I will be starting the tmt soon (next week?) but testing in Feb! So I hope i can join you here!

For those who dont know me, here a little recap:

Souris, 23, having tmt in France. Last ICSI was in April, 3 embies put back, no pregnancy... Male factor, DH has had a vasectomy in previous marriage. 2nd and last ICSI starting very soon. We have Dh sperm only for on more try. DH did not wanted children anymore and it took me 3 year to convince him. Although he is very excited now, he is not prepared to have another biopsy if this cycle doesnt work... and he refuses donor sperm...

SO praying hard to be lucky this time!!

I hope you are all well. I was away for a few days and I have difficulties catching up with everyone, this site is so busy!!

Hi to all

Had first ICSI November and was told I'd have to wait 3 to 4 months before next try so still don't know if I belong in this thread

, but if you don't mind I'd like to stay untill we're sure.

Also trying to get back into shape, to feel that I'm doing something and hopefully to help tmt.

Started exercising (starting slowly!

) but not really dieting (yet).

hi ladies, this is my 1st time here. where can i find a list of the abv some i dont know. i started my bcp a few days ago and i have all my meds but my class isnt until 1-24 so im kinda lost still hope you all can help me out. my ER will be somtime 1st of feb. talk 2 u soon

Go back in to the General Forum and the second thread down is about the abbreviations. Don't worry if you don't know them as everyone will understand anyway.

Jodic - I will start downregging in about 2 weeks and am not taking BCPs...when will you start downregging?

Hi MLG! After my neg last April, I too embarked on everything to help with the next treatment. I have kept up with it all except for yoga....my yoga teacher has been in the US adopting a little girl....but I am now addicted to acupuncture.

Tomorrow I need to go to my clinic and drop off the signed papers and get another prescription for Synarela. I have a bottle which I opened and used in September but I want to be sure nothing goes wrong and the drugs haven't gone 'bad' so I want a brand new sniffer. Getting really anxious and excited about round 2! Last time I told the world we were going through IVF - this time I am keeping my mouth shut...only my parents and you guys. Come on BFP!!!!!!

hi everyone,

hi tracii, is downregging when you start your injections? if so i will be starting them around the 27th. and my ER should be around 2-9 give or take... so are we close?
i had all my testing done now so we are just waiting....

Hi Jodic - For downregging I actually get to 'sniff'...for some reason Synarela is not available in the US. Basically with the downregging you are shutting down your 'gland' which produces FSH and LH. FSH creates the eggs and LH is for ovulation. So with downregging the doctor has control over these hormones. Then the FSH shots start...I take Puregon...which starts making the eggs/follicles. Since my last IVF I have been obsessed with hormones...don't know why but I read everything I can...I find them absolutely amazing. My egg collection will be around the 12.February so we are pretty close...we will have the 2WW together!

Hi ladies, I would like to join this thread. I found out just today that my first IVF cycle will be Feb/Mar 06. My doc has me starting 1 month of birth control pills at the end of January. Is this a normal part of the IVF cycle? I was surprised to find that this was part of it. So, I'll actually start the actual IVF cycle at the end of February.

Hey Shellbell,

I was on BCP too and they give you that when you first start your period so that it will get your hormones low, stop your period and then the DR. pretty much takes over your cycle from there. I only took them for a week I think then started on Lupron shots to keep me from ovulating.
Very weird all the things they do to you!

IVF is a rollercoster but the best advice I can give you is to be as stress-free as possible. I know thats hard to do!! But I think I was way too stressed on my 1st try - hopefully my FET will be less stress.

Hey Jodi,

I think we will start FET in March sometime. Depending on AF. My cycles are pretty screwed up I have noticed - this new one came very early. Oh well!

DH and I started on a diet - really want to lose 20lbs before we start FET. I am going to start Yoga this month too - hopeful help with stress!
I have 5 little embies - 1 they have graded excellent and 4 good grades. These embies are actaully better than the 2 they put in me in Nov. They let the others keep going for a couple days after my ET and they got better. So at least thats some good news this time around if they thaw ok. DR still gave me only 40-50% of success rate. But gotta think postively!
