I wish to announce that I'M PREGNANT...yes, I'm still in deep shock....NATURAL CONCEPTION after a BFN on IVF AUG 2005....
DH and I just found out yesterday... My AF never came (as usual). We did 2 home test kits and I was especially sceptical and was in denial despite the fact that it was a strong POSITIVE. (I've always had 40+ day cycles). We went to our gynae and had a scan, and sure enough, there's our one little angel with heartbeat. We're already into 7 weeks!! Oh my god... Is this really happening? This kind of thing only happen to other lucky couples...Sort of an urban myth...We're too shocked to even be celebrating.....
I'm still in a daze........

Wow!! What a fantastic surprise. Hope the next few months go by smoothly for you. In time when you're both ready and your little one needs a brother or sister, then maybe you can go and get your frosties.

Well dearie, I've always had PCOS and my DH's minor male factor, but overall the docs we've seen had said that the reason we couldn't conceive was probably due to stress, and there's nothing majorly wrong with both of us. Yup, they'll always revert to "STRESS" if they couldn't find answers.
I've had my share of Clomids and the nasty side effects of hot flashes and nausea and weight gain and had done IUI in 2003. When that didn't work out, we did IVF coz we had the funds. When THAT didn't produce the results we wanted, well, we were both resigned to the fact that we'd probably wouldn't be parents anytime soon.....I'd be lying to say that we did not give up hope - we did feel let down and had already exhausted all our funds and was drained physically and emotionally....Of coz that wasn't so much of PMA.....
Anyhow, the months following that we made plans for me to jumpstart my career and DH enrolling for his honors degree. We also made trips around Asia for DH's work commitments. Just when things seem to get on track for us, I got sick frequently and totally couldn't keep food down. When my cycle got past 50 days this month, we bought a home preg test kit, and the rest, well, you guys already know from my posting....
So, a lesson to be learnt here, LADIES and GENTLEMEN, is when you LEAST expect it, you'll get pregnant soon enough. Even when it seems so bleak and when chances seem slim, THAT'S when the surprise hits you in the face.
I'm still recovering from that....
Love,
Chanteq
