egg collection on wednesday

hi, finally got the go ahead today from the clinic for egg collection on wednesday but due to risk of ohss they will freeze any eggs which fertilise for three months. Im frightened now of the hcg injection tonight, heard a lot about ohss this week but i dont suppose it could happen now could it if thats all they are doing is egg collection ? They had to re run my blood test on sunday as the oestrogen level had been 22000 but the lab test came back with 4792. They knew that it couldnt have dropped that much that quickly so on checking again it came back at around 20000. Is anyone else having egg collection on wednesday? Love Julie M

Hi Julie Hope you're OK - I had ET yesterday and had 2 embies transferred. I know it'll seem cruel, but its sensible you have the embies stored until you are better - I hope you get loads to freeze and can have lots of stress-free FET cycles. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you. Sorry I've not been around - my NTL broadband went down after an idiot came to sort out my mums out of order phone, but Les has given me strict instructions that I'm not on here all day anyway. If you're around friday, maybe we could arrange to be in chat? take care sweetie. Lots of love Fiona xxxx

Hi Julie I had my EC done yesterday it wasnt as bad as I thought but it was painful but the drugs help,I was given 2 Temazepam 15mins before this helps you relax then I was given 150mg Fentanyl which was given through a needle in my hand then I had gas&air I got really emotional and started crying like a prat the nurses and dr were brill and said its the drugs that make you emotional! Hubby was there in the room with me and it was very relaxed we were all talking about weddings and hoildays (that was after they had found the first egg!) luckly they found 13 eggs which was really good and this morning we have found out 10 eggs have fertilised we will find uot tomorrow if any turn into embryos. I was told to drink lots of water because my levels were high and I could get OSHH but so far so good! Have you been told to take the day after off I was and Im glad I did because its sore and you should relax.
