Baby Baths

Hello everyone

I am 24 weeks pregnant with twins and i have an older daughter who is 6. I am starting to plan what i need to buy and i am wondering if anyone thinks the baths on a stand are better then a bath on the ground? Or just use the normal house bath?

With my daughter i used a baby bath without a stand on the floor, will buying one with a stand make my life easier?

i like u are open to any advise....whatever i can use to make life easer i welcome...there is so much on the market and my head is in a spin should i get this? do i need this?
my sis in law had a changing stand downstairs with the bath included in it she said it was the best thing she ever bought and when baby thomas got bigger she moved him into the big bath
so i am looking to buy 1 of these so there is less bending when changing and bathing
i know its no comparason but i remember when we had our dog(who we sadly lost at the grand old age of 16) and bathing her was a killer on the back
so im opting for the all in one stand...hope u get ur answers

Hi Girls

We bought a bath stand and ended up bathing our baby in his baby bath in the house bath anyway. This is because the stand is just above knee height so we found that it was too high to be able to kneel and bath Thomas but so low that you still had to bend your back. In the end we found it easier on our backs to lean over the house bath.

It sounds like the changing stand with the bath in it might be taller than just an ordinary bath stand - I wish I'd known you could get one of them!!

Thomas is 6 and 1/2 months old now and absolutely loves bath time !!

Hi

I have a baby bath which I put on the floor of the nursery. I can then manage to bath both babies myself as the other plays safely in their cot!
It is heavy to carry with the water in but they dont need much water anyway. I think I will move onto the big bath once they get too big but will have to have DH around to help!
I also have 2 changing mats as sometimes the one you have already bathed is happy to watch the other have theirs!

Thanks for the advice for 2 changing mats. I hate carrying water so thats where the bath with stand comes in, i can have it set up in the laundry and have a hose conection to fill it and just tip it into the tub. But the down side is that i will either have one baby in its crib in the other room, or in a bouncer on the laundry floor, i think they would enjoy watching each other bathe.

I never brought ababy bath I just used the big bath and Alex loves the bath now.

I brought a changing station with a baby changing mat on it that lifted up and has the bath underneath. I thought that it's been one of my best buys.

It saves on bending whilst changing the twins and when i'm putting them in their baby harness. I also find that the bath is at a good height, so it doesn't cause too much back ache when im trying to hold them with one hand and wash with the other.

I would recommend one to everyone, especially anyone with twins!
