Hi All,
I'm finding it really difficult to keep everyone's news in my head after not being around for a while. I'm really rubbish as I just can't keep up with everyone.

Souris and Cla- good to see you back and thanks for the messages. My domestic disasters are finished, but we still have a huge bevel in the ceiling. They have said it is going to be a big job, so I don't want all the dust and mess until after this cycle, so the bevel will have to stay.

Jen, brilliant news about all those eggs. I hope I catch some of your dust!

Anna, so sorry you've been cancelled. You must be really fed up.

I'm doing okay. I'm coping with the injections so far, though I'm not looking forward to having to do 2 a day as of next week. My scan is 18 days after I started dowregging. Having seen other people's dates this seems late. Is it? I'm desperate for the scan now as I want to know it's working. I have a nightmare that I'll be told I'm a poor responder.

This BIG needle people are talking about- how big is big? Is it the same size as the needle you draw the meds out of the bottle with, or is it more of your lance?
I learnt off one of the other girls about EMLA cream. You can get it in the chemist and it really works. Deadens the skin if you leave it on for an hour. You can buy these plasters to use with it, which means the cream can be put on when you're out and not go all over your clothes. I'd really recommend it, as I was getting close to freezing my stomach off and DH thought was getting concerned about ice burns. Incidentally, my clinic told me to ONLY inject in the stomach. They said it was easiest. The little pink plastic model they gave me to practice on even looked like my vast belly, so I felt quite at home!

Hi all

Well everything went well today had my last scan and blood test loads of follicles largest 23m.

Late night injection Saturday night 10.15 yikes its a syringe!!!!

Egg collection 9.15 monday morning.

Cant wait feel really uncomfortable left work at 4.00pm today couldnt last out till 5.30 and wont be going in tomorrow just resting now.

Was told the risk of ohss hoping thats not the case as everything has been text book and gone to plan! :

ET scheduled for Wednesday!!!

So I had another scan today and I have 10 follies. 3 of them are 19mm and the we have 18, 17 etc.....

I have another appt Sat to see when we will do EC. It looks like Monday or tuesday!!.

Anna, I'm so sorry you have cancelled your cycle. Good luck to you. You do not deserve this after all the waiting you have already done.

Feel very tender inside not looking forward to EC as will feel worse!!

Lynne ,hope the list helps to catch up on all the news! Hope the inj aren't too bad. Keep smiling and focussing on why you are doing them. Do you use an injector pen? I found that really easy,quick and relatively painless! Funny that your clinic said to only inj into stomach. Have always done thigh. The protocols are so different aren't they?

Heather what fab news. How did I miss that ? I take great pleasure in reinstating your name at the top of our list. Congrats to you!!

Thank you to Souris, Clare, Pam, Smita , Lynne and other lovely ladies for my messages of support. When I spoke to the clinic they said that draining the cyst was not an option at this stage. The E2 level was 800. Far too high, and would interfer with IVF cycle even if I had the drain. So it's back to the drawing board. Appointment on 24th. Not long to wait!!!

Joanna- is this your first time with IVF?

The HCG shot hurt like a mother f*. I don't want to scare you but I want to be honest with you. I cried for 10 min afterwards. BUT I am also a big baby. My stomach was getting temder from the Follistim, Lupron and Luvaris, but it wasn't that bad.

EC wasn't bad at all. I thought it would be awful. They knocked me completely out. I was crampy afterwards. My EC was on Thursday. By last night I had stopped bleeding and cramping. It was really pretty easy. So far the worst of this has been the HCG shot, but I start the progesterone tonight and I have a bad feeling about that needle. I told Dan that he might have to chase me around the house...I feel like that kid on the cough syrup commercial when he ran from his mom and hid in the closet. I only hope the shots aren't that bad and it's like that kid...."mmmmm cherry!" or grape, whatever flavor the syrup was...

ET is Tuesday some time. 11 embies out of 15 eggs!!

Great job with the 11 embies! I had a general for EC so i dont remember a thing, but when i woke up it felt like someone jump on my tummy for days! I could not walk for a whole week and every move was excrutiating, so imagine how comfortable was ET!! Hopefully this cycle will be less painfull!

Anna, thanks you for the good luck, but because my Af were late (first time ever!! ) i will most probably start on the 20th. I have been waiting 9 months for this cycle so i am not gonna get upset for 5 days huh!! Only my Valentine's day with Dh might not happen...

The HCG is the "trigger" shot. The shot that gets your eggs ready. I asked about the pessaries and they said no.

I'm taking the shot tonight at 6 so I will let you know how it goes, but then if you hear a scream, then I guess you'll know. LOL
