I had my EC on Thursday. They are transferring tomorrow. I'm having a little bit of pain in my left ovary. Nothing I can't handle, I'm just not sure if that's normal or not. I had the most follicles on that side, so I'm assuming my poor left ovary is over worked and under paid. Anyone experience this?
I remember having cramping the day of my EC but it went away later on that day. If you had a lot of eggs retrieved then you might have more pain. But it should be gone by the time you have your ET. I had alot of swelling too - drink V-8 juice if you can. My Dr. said the sodium in it helps shrink the ovaries. It worked for me.

i had sore ovaries for nearly 10 days after last et. Apparently this is normal sometimes..the nurses told me to take paracetamol if needed.
Good luck with transfer tomorrow..rest up keep warm and try not to use the computer for 3 days. you need to lie down for that time...

Faith- i never knew that sodium helped. I will keep that in mind for next time.

Oh yea, my ovaries were killing me! I was sure everything was going to fall out when I stood up lol. I had convinced myself that something was wrong and things were all twisted inside because they hurt for 6 days, never letting up on the pain though. Then I woke up yesterday morning with mild cramping but no ovary pain, I really thought I was in heaven and the positive thoughts came back lol.
I'm brand new to this board, so forgive me as I dont know all the abbreiviations yet. I too have egg collection yesterday and am really sore. i feel as though I have a full bowel all the time, my tummys quite tender and I am in pain. It hurts to sit doen too fast or to run down the stairs. I hope this is normal as I too feel rather bloated.
I am due to go back on Friday to have 1 embryo put back, they wont due 2 as i had a misscarriage about 8 years ago by a natural prognancy.
I now have a tubal blockage, this is my 1st cycle of ivf and I'm finding it very daunting. I got this website address from a very nice lady I met in the waiting room on Sunday.
I wish you all the very best of luck and send thanks to you all, reading the message boards on this site seems to have made it all more bearable.
I don't know what is normal and what isn't, this is only my first ivf go round (and hoping it is my last). I had eggs removed last Wednesday (one week ago today wow! lol) and they hurt until Monday. I really thought something was wrong. But taking the painkillers and cramping medication the doctors gave me at least gave me peace of mind. They just went away suddenly. so hang in there, it will end, some people seem to have them longer, others don't have any pain.
