Its so nice of you to set up this thread for me! Im so hoping I dont go overdue for days. I felt really jealous yesterday because an old work colleague of mine had her baby last Friday - he wasnt due until 3rd Feb! Im thrilled for her of course, but part of me was thinking 'My baby was due first!!'

Sorry to disappoint you, but nothing happened as yet! Getting regular braxton hicks last few days, so hoping wont be long! Cant sleep at the moment as you can see!

Wishing you luck. I have just a gut feeling I am going to be a little later than my due date. I have justified this by saying my baby is safe where he/she is right now and of course packing on a couple more ounces. How exciting it is to not know when this special delivery will arrive. . .

Hi everyone

Well shes here! Jenna Grace was born at 4.51pm Thursday 19th January. She has a mop of dark hair just like her daddy. She weighed 7lb 12oz. I have to say I was very lucky and had a very straightforward labour. I started in labour on Wednesday in the afternoon and went to hospital approx 12 hours later when my contractions were approx 5 mins apart. After 6 hours I wasnt progressing, so they sent me home. Once I arrived home approx 12.30 pm, my waters broke and that was it. Back to the hospital and she was born just before 5pm! I had wanted a water birth and although they had the pool ready the doctor said my blood pressure was on the higher side and wouldnt let me! So I had gas and air only. I have to say that breathing and concentrating on the outbreath was what kept me in control if anyone wants a tip! It is an amazing experience! We have just arrived home from the hospital and DH is having a cuddle (I think we will be fighting over this at first!) Its just a bit daunting now-been completely in charge of this tiny helpless little person!
Anyway, will be in touch again as soon as I can. Hoping you are all doing ok and looking forward to the arrival of your little ones.
