KC, hope everything was just swell with your doc's appointment :D My little bugger has been moving around like crazy...I can't imagine what it must feel like to have two of them inside of you. Amazing!

Leigh, good to see you over here. I also felt really good in the beginning and started to think it was a bad sign. Everything good here as well. We go for our 2nd ultrasound next week on the 19th. I hope the baby cooperates, because we would love to know the sex 8) How about you...do you want to know or would you like it to be a surprise?

Hi everyone

Just wanted to pop over and say hello. It doesnt seem 2 minutes since my 20 week scan, Brandy and I have to say it was amazing. I hadnt had one since 8.5 weeks, so it was lovely. My DH was amazed and couldnt stop grinning. Anyway, you'll find that time does fly and like me be days from your due date!
Leigh - Good to hear your scan was ok. Its hard to imagine you're still pregnant early on, isnt it? I was actually glad I had nausea to remind me. Once baby starts moving its better. (Although then you worry when they have quiet days, which seems to be the case with a lot!).
KC - Can empathise with the backache, heartburn and pelvic pain! Hoping it doesnt get too uncomfortable for you with 2 of them in there!
Take care everyone!

Saw the doc on Friday - everything looked good.

She tried to use a doppler heart listener device thing but couldn't distinguish one twin from the other, so they brought in the ultrasound machine. I wasn't disappointed because I always like to get a sneak peek at the babies :)

Wouldn't you know it, my girl was sleeping (minding her own business) and my boy kicked her with both legs! Theh doc, DH and I all went "HEY, you can't do that to her!"

I asked about my pelvic pain and it seems that the pubic bone is fused together and that I am already experiencing the softening that would come later (maybe due to the progesterone support early in the pregnancy). I got the direction not to vacuum anymore, don't stand on one leg, be careful getting in and out of the car, etc.

Oh, last but not least - I wouldn't let them tell me how much I weigh. I know that I'm getting "larger" for a good reason, but I said I didn't want to know the number unless there was something wrong. Has anybody else done this or am I extra neurotic?

KC
You be as neurotic as you like, we're allowed to do these things when we're pregnant aren't we?! I bet it's beautiful to see your two little babies like that. Sounds like your little boy will be a character.
Thanks for everyone's replies.
Brs888, yes we would like to know sex, we have a very strong feeling it's a boy, no idea why. We keep calling baby a he so we'd like to know so that if it is a girl we won't be calling her a he for next 6 months!
K - not long now, who knows perhaps you're giving birth right now as I type, hee hee!!!!
Take care everyone

it's very quiet over here, so i'll give my latest and greatest.

my belly button feels like it's going to tear in two! i think i'm close to seeing it pop out :)

twins are both active which is a lot of fun. gives me a reminder during work that it's just a job.

i've got 3 more weeks before i see the doctor again - it's quite a long wait considering the frequency that i've had with appointments, but the next visit is a growth ultrasound, so we'll get to look at how much the babies are growing.

happy gestating!

Just wanted to let you all know that we found out today that we are having a little girl :) We are very happy, but we were so sure it was a boy, that we are still a little bit in shock.

Hi ladies,
Good to see all the movement starting to happen here. Before you know it they won't stop moving and they will be killing your ribs.
My little guy seems to like to stick his feet there. He moves around all the time now. I just started feeling him when I am standing and walking, its so unreal I just love it. DH felt him before but hasn't really for a couple of weeks now and the other night we were laying in bed and Joseph was moving all over and Josh couldn't believe how strong his movements were. He is 2 pounds now, found that out when we had a little scare last week and ended up in labor and Delivery had some mild contractions and Mega round ligament pain. The contractions were due to not having enough water, So girls make sure you drink drink drink. Everything is good though so no worries, looks like I am hitting the third tri already, you guys aren't far behind.
Take care
Love
Joy

Hi, Smita :) Still looking after the rest of us I see...just like usual  You are so incredibly sweet! I keep reading your 3rd tri thread as you gals have great ideas and tips about what to do as we get closer to our due dates.

I am doing quite well. I feel great, people can definitely tell I'm pregnant now, and I love feeling the baby moving around :o :o I have made a calendar combining my work schedule, class schedule, and personal to dos so that I don't start feeling overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done before our little girl arrives. I did this because I have definitely been feeling overwhelmed. I hope it helps!

Best of luck to you, Smita, and keep us posted :)

Hi everyone,
I've been really slack when it comes to logging on and posting messages these days but thought it was about time i said hello.
I'm just so tired all the time, before i got pg whenever i heard a woman complain how tired they were i always thought "yeah right, you are ONLY pg, you haven't done anything to make you tired" Oh how wrong i was, i never realised how tiring it actually is.

I'm now 25wks and feel soooo huge, the simplest things like putting on a pair of socks is such a struggle now.
Bubs is really kicking, punching and headbutting away, saw my belly move for the 1st time the other week, it was so weird, now all i do is sit and watch my belly, it's so cool.
Last week at my 24wk midwife check up she brought out the doppler to listen to bubs, when the doppler moved over to where her wee legs are she gave it an almighty boot, so the midwife put it back and again, boot, she obviously didn't like getting prodded, it was comical.

Has everyone got names picked out? We have decided on Kady for her first name but the argument is her middle name, Michael is adament he wants it to be River but i think that is just awfull. I've searched the net and found some really pretty names and their meanings are really nice too, here's my list and i hope you can give me your opinions on these middle names.
Astra - Greek - Female - Like a star

Belle - Latin - Female - Beauty

Mimi - French - Female - Form of MIRIAM - longed-for child

Mira - Latin - Female - wonderful

Miranda - Latin - Female - miraculous

Mirielle - French - Female - miraculous

I hope everyone and your bumps are doing well.
Take care all,
Lotsa love

Michelle

I love that name, Kady :) Just beautiful...I really like Kady Belle.

Sounds like you are way ahead of dh and I. We are having trouble agreeing on girl names period  Can't believe you saw your belly move already. That's awesome! I'm sure it was a pretty cool experience.

Take care!
