Just looking for some reassurance. I'm 20+3 with twins and havent felt any movement yet. Thought I was feeling something one day last week but it went and I've had nothing since. I'm just a bit worried that I should be feeling something and I'm not. I'm due to go for my 22 week scan in a week and a half but I'll crack up before then with worry. Any stories greatly appreciated.
I am 26 weeks with twins and i have only just started feeling movement more daily. Has anyone ever said if you have an anterior placenta? I do, 2 actually and you cant feel movement through the placenta, an anteior placenta means a placenta positioned at the front of the uterus instead of the more common back position. Anterior placentas are more common with twins then singletons. Also remember if your twins are facing each other they kick eachother instead of you. I have found through my pregnancy that I only feel one baby moving 99% of the time.
It is a worry though i wish mine would move more .
I can understand how worrying it is, I did have movement really early in my pregnancy but I know it can be later for some people. Maybe you could speak to your m/w if your a little concerned.

I'm 21 weeks and I have felt movement for about 3 weeks. My twin girl is sitting really low - and she's kicked my bladder a few times! I feel her more than I feel my twin boy who is sitting much higher. Most things I've read say that 1st time moms feel movement later and that 23 weeks is average.
Go schedule and ultrasound to set your mind at ease. I always feel better if I can get a peak at the twins moving around. They move like mad on the ultrasound but I don't feel it.
I also read that sometimes you can eat something sugary and lay down for about 30 mins that you may feel them.
Hi, I just wanted to say if you thought you felt something last week, chances are you did.
When I got to week 20, I was expecting the first movement to be something obvious but in fact at first it felt like soft bubbles and it took a while to realise it was what I was waiting for. Just a tiny, soft, fluttery feeling more than anything physical. It gets a lot more obvious and a lot more definite a bit later on.
I'm sure you won't have long to wait.
Good luck

Thanks for the replies. I'm just having another little wobble. I don't think I'll stop worrying til they are here. I may have felt something but just don't realise it. Thanks for the reassurance.
I am now almost 24 weeks and feel my twins kicking quite a bit - but I did not really start to feel much until I was 20 weeks.
I had some concerns about the twins at about 15/16weeks and saw the community midwife - she got me booked in first thing the next day for an ultrasound at the hospital. I was surprised how much better and calmer I felt after just seeing them and watching them wriggling around.
Take care

Hi - just to back up what's been said - I only felt soft bubbles until about 24 / 25 weeks and even now some days are quieter than others depending on which way beaby is facing.
Don't worry,

Just thought I'd let you know I got some reassurance today. I used a doppler at work (I'm a nurse) and found a heartbeat. This was the first time i had heard it and it brought a tear to my eye. The doppler was also picking up noises that I assume are kicks but just can't feel them. Feel so much better. Thanks again for your advice.
HI
Just to say - I hardly ever felt movement - its often the way the baby is lying and the position of the placenta. I never had that cup of tea being kicked off your tummy thing! EVER!!
I got a bit obsessed with my doppler! So can understand your nerves -I think my midwife said 10 movements in 24 hours is what to look for - I often didn't even get that though.
Dont panic!
