Hi everyone, just discovered this site today and am already hooked. I wish I had found it at the beginning of my treatment. It's so comforting to know you're not the only one going through the trials of IVF. I am currently going through my first ICSI cycle and have found the whole thing emotionally draining. I am due to do my pregnancy test on 9 July but am already 99.9% certain the treatment has failed as I have been bleeding heavily for the last 4 days and had terrible cramps. I have been scanning through all the other messages desperately trying to find one from someone who experienced this but still got a positive result however I've been unable to find one

I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced this and who could maybe give me a bit of hope. The hospital has advised me to prepare for the worst.

Thank you

Jules K
Hi Jules

Sorry, I am not in a position to offer much help as I have yet to start my first ICSI (August is when we kick off). Just wanted to say that there are lots of girls on this site that have had many, many negatives but they have not given up hope and with perseverance they have got there in the end. You will find tremendous support from here, so many others seem to know exactly what you are feeling and are more than willing to share the highs and lows of it all.

Wishing you the very best

Lorraine G
Hi Jules

I would just like to say on day 13 I started bleeding it wasn't heavy but it was brown, I tested negative I day 13 but I was told by the clinic that I shouldn't of tested early I should test on day 14 I said whats the point I ain't going to get a positive result in 24 hours. Well to my surprise when I tested again on my correct day it was a positive. I am just over 12 wks and I have had spotting on and off. Some being brown and some being fresh blood. I have had scans to keep an eye on things and the baby is growing as it should be. So please try and stay positive, I convinced myself mine hadn't worked because I had AF pains, spots, all the symtons I get before I come on.
Hope it goes ok.
Please keep us updated.
Love
Shell.
xx
Hiya Shell - so glad to hear it's still going well for you with your pregnancy - hope you don't mind me butting in onto your thread.

What you say about AF symptoms really gives me some hope as I'm on day 11 of 2ww (2nd attempt at ICSI) and have pains, etc. Its hard for me to believe that you can have these pains but still be pregnant but you are living proof!! I remember your disbelief when you tested negative one day then positive the next, and you're the reason why I wont do an early test as the results can be so wrong!!!

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy & lots of love, Jo. xx
