Hi, New to this and need support

Post by wendym »

Hello every one. First of all I have enjoyed this site so far & the best of luck to all!!!

Heres my story: I am 34 & my dh is 32. we have been together 8 years married for one. I found out December 04' (one month after we got married) that I do not ovulate. NO EGGS:( I have been on the egg donor waiting list since march 05. I started@ # 65 now Iam #5. Im getting nervous, anxious, excited, every emotion you could have. My husband tries to understand but it only makes things worse. I will probably get an egg donor by March but I am getting inpatient. My best friend is also due any day now I am trying to be excited for her but its so hard. Can anyone give me some advice?

I'm not sure about egg donor so can't advise but I just want to welcome you to the site and wish you all the luck in the world. I am sure someone will be able to help you.

Hi wendym and welcome here!

I bet you must be excited /scared/ apprehensive and so on!! we have all been through those emotions!

Only 5 to go and you will be next!!

Try not to push DH (Dear husband) away from all of this, he is a part of it and even if he doesn't understand exactly how you feel, i am sure he is doing his best!!

The only advice i can give you is to be patient, you have been so far, but it is just the first step!
going through IVF is being patient for month 24/7!

Wishing you the best!
Take care

Hi Wendy,

Welcome to the board. That's great you're so close now - not much longer. I can sympathise with you on the preg. friend bit - one of my best friend's is due 4 days after my dh has his sperm retreival (he has no sperm altho they're trying to find some). My sister in law is preg and one of my other close friends is also preg!! AAARRGGHHH! Feel just like you - want to get excited for them all but finding that very very hard. My heart aches every time I speak to them. The ladies on here understand it all so feel free to get it all off your chest.

Good luck!! xxx

Wendym,
I know how it feels to have a friend be so close to having a baby. I have had my brother, my cousin, and two friends all deliver sweet little babes all in the past four months. It is hard not to be jealous and just genuinely happy for them. It is nice to be around all of the little ones, but always leaves me longing that much more. My husband is ready to jump right to adoption and I want to give IVF a few more tries.

Keep your chin up!

-Stacy :)
