Well shes here! Jenna Grace was born at 4.51pm Thursday 19th January. She has a mop of dark hair just like her daddy. She weighed 7lb 12oz. I have to say I was very lucky and had a very straightforward labour. I started in labour on Wednesday in the afternoon and went to hospital approx 12 hours later when my contractions were approx 5 mins apart. After 6 hours I wasnt progressing, so they sent me home. Once I arrived home approx 12.30 pm, my waters broke and that was it. Back to the hospital and she was born just before 5pm! I had wanted a water birth and although they had the pool ready the doctor said my blood pressure was on the higher side and wouldnt let me! So I had gas and air only. I have to say that breathing and concentrating on the outbreath was what kept me in control if anyone wants a tip! It is an amazing experience! We have just arrived home from the hospital and DH is having a cuddle (I think we will be fighting over this at first!) Its just a bit daunting now-been completely in charge of this tiny helpless little person!
Anyway, will be in touch again as soon as I can. Hoping you are all doing ok and looking forward to the arrival of your little ones.
Take care
Love Kim, Dave and Jenna Grace.

Me and Jenna are having some bonding time while Daddy catchs up on sleep. Hes been an amazing support and is totally besotted with his little girl. He talks to her all the time, its so sweet to hear him chattering away. Jenna also talks to herself, she is so gorgeous. She tends to sleep more during the day and wake more at night! So we are trying to nap during the day so that its not too hard for us to be constantly waking up. Yesterday I was just about to take a nap in the afternoon and got upset because I didnt want to leave her! I was sat there with tears rolling down my cheeks! Have to say the tears just come so easily, but so far they are generally happy ones, so hoping it stays more that way. The feeding has been a bit trying sometimes, trying to get it right, but I think we are both getting the hang of it now.
Hope you are all doing ok. I cant wait for the next arrivals to come!
Love Kim.

hi Kim - yippee!!
so glad everything went well and you didnt have to wait too long for little Jenna to arrive. she sounds adorable and your description of your first few days was a joy to read. isnt this the most amazing experience ever? it seems amazing that you fall so absolutely in love with another little being so quickly! i find myself just gazing and gazing..
we seem to be in the same boat, with Ned sleeping easily throughout the day and much more active at night. plus, he seems to HATE the crib and screams as soon as he's put in it. last night was good though, with huim feeding every 2.5 hours or so ans no crying in between.
wishing you lots of happiness over the next few days. grab those naps and if i can offer anything at all, it's to let you know that the feeding gets considerably better and easier after a few days when the milk comes in.
i too cant wait to hear about everyone else's arrivals - hope each of you is doing really well.
love
