I am just waiting to do the preg test, which will be on Friday.

This is my first cycle, so I don't know much. Are you stimming? Are you taking the shots in the stomach?

I don't know what happened to me...I was so unbelievably positive about this whole IVF cycle...before I went to the fertility doc, I was on the way to my gyne's office and I heard a commercial for the fertility center that I was going to be going to. So I took it as a sign that I should go. That same day my gyne treated me like crap...another sign that I should go.

I HATE male doctors but for some reason, I really liked my fertility doc and immediately felt comfortable around him. Another good sign. I (somewhat) overcame my fear of needles and the lupron, follistim and luvaris shots went smoothly. I was even doing them myself.

Stimming went great. I produced 20 follies, they collected 15 eggs...Everything went smoothly. Good sign. Then the day we came home from EC, there was a brochure from our wedding photographer, that I haven't heard from in 3 years. The brochure said on the front, "Are you a new mother or a soon to be mother, then this issue is for you." And it was all about baby pictures. If I didn't believe in "signs" before then, I certainly did after getting that brochure. What are the odds? THE SAME DAY I HAVE EC, I get that brochure and I haven't heard from them in 3 YEARS!!!

Egg transfer went beautifully. The doc said he transferred two of the prettiest embies he had ever seen. Uterus looked great for implanting...nothing has gone wrong!

Then last night I began getting pain in my uterus...today it felt like the pain I got from the endometriosis. I am on estrogen patches, and estrogen feeds the growth of endo....But now I'm scared to death that this didn't work. And now I'm being negative and I don't know how to change my attitude.

Sorry....just venting!

HI Girls!

Charlie welcome here, yes AF is period! Wishing you the best with this cycle! Your Dh is very welcome to come here too, there is few other DH already. Maybe you should start a DH thread!!

Lynne I hope you feel better. Only people who went through IVF knows how it feels. so i try not to blame friends or family for being not sensitive at time. The just dont know how to react in front of us, should they ask question, keep quiet, sympathise, be positive about it etc... they are in a difficult position. Sending you buckets of PMA! and big HUGS

Jen,the horrible 2ww! you have done the biggest part already, dont give up now! only few more sleeps. I am sending you loads and loads of baby dust, buckets of PMA!

Take care

Wow! Few days away and SO much to read!! I'll try to remember it all!

Souris - Hope you're having a great time with your Mum. Glad to see the injections are going ok!
Lynne - Great that scan went well. Don't worry about the lack of side affects. I had none at all (in fact dp wanted me to take the stims forever as I was THE calmest person in the entire universe!!!!). Sorry to hear about your friend - it may be that she doesn't want to upset you by asking? Or she's waiting for you to make the first move by offering information? Hey! We're here and listening and cheering you on!
Jen - Glad that ET went well. Sorry to hear you were feeling low - everyone is entitled to a "blip" in their PMA and it's V.natural to start getting doubts. Sneding you loads to hugs and best wishes. I can't believe you test on Friday!
Jay - Thanks for the advise. All is welcome and you can join in the thread any time you want!!
Sophie - you made me laugh the way you lied about AF! Good on you!
Burtie - Hope AF comes soon!
Jo - Glad ET went well!! Testing on 1st - how exciting!
Kelly - good luck with scan today!
Anna - Good luck with your appointment tomorrow!
Berta - Fingers crossed for that low FSH. Whens af due?
Sue e - How's things going with you? When's your af due?
Lisa + Charlie - Hello and welcome!!!

Wow - what a marathon!!! Image

Good morning everyone,

I haven't been on for a while because I had et on Friday and I just got done with 3 days of bed rest.

I am still very bloated. Not too much pain. For the bloating I am drinking lots of V8. It works pretty well. Its supposed to help with OHSS.

I will go for a scan on the 25th, and my test date is Jan 31st.

I need to read up to see how everyone is doing.

I will talk to you all later as I am on my way back to work today.

Baby dust everywhere!! :D :D

Good luck everyone.

Hi - just wanted to update. Like Lynne I had my downreg scan on 19th, and all seems okay - although one ovary is not active. However I'm staying positive that the other is going to do a super job on its own if need be. I'm on the stimming phase too now. I have my first scan to see how this has gone on Weds 25, and my EC is likely to be w/c 30 Jan too - how about that Lynne!

About families we have been absolutely furious with my in-laws, as they have taken it apon themselves to tell the whole family! Can you believe it, and they didn't even apologise when challenged either.... They lent us the money so I think they think it gives them some kind of rights over the news and the whole process. They keep asking questions which we are deliberately not answering now. We really didn't want every distant relative to know what we are going through, but it is inevitable now....

Trying to keep some perspective, but it is hard when I think about their insensitivity for too long.

all the best to you all,
Angela

Angela - I have my first scan on 25 too!! I'll have been stimming a week then. It's very exciting isn't it?! Hope it goes well for you.

Kelly - hope your first scan was OK today?

Anna - I just wanted to wish you luck for your appt tomorrow. Hopefully then you'll have the next steps to look forward to. You really deserve it after all you have been through.

Good luck Sophie for your scan on 25 and of course to angeleyes too - hoping you get your BFP!!!!

Hi and luck to all.

Fertility Centers of Illinois. My "home branch" is in Orland Park. The people at River North (downtown) are so so so so awesome! Downtown is where the procedures are done.

Thanks guys for all your kind words. I am feeling much better today. I think camping out on the couch is getting to me.

Good luck everyone!

Hi ladies,
Scan went well today. My dr. was pretty vague, but said everything looks good. She said the right side is "much better" than the left, whatever that means. I'm just hoping for a decent number of good follicles with mature eggs. We thought we wouldn't be back until Thursday or Friday, but she wants us back Wed instead (I guess some are growing quickly) since I'm on the antagonist protocol and we can't miss our window to give me the Ganirelex to prevent ovulation. I'm hoping that's good news??? Trying to stay positive.
JenC - glad you're feeling better. Don't forget that sometimes those pains, twinges, spotting mean breakthrough pains/bleeding, which is GOOD news! Keep thinking positively. Not much time now until your test.
Angela - sorry to hear about your in-laws. I have major in-law issues as well. I hate how people think that because they are "in the know" about your situation, they suddenly make it "their" problem, too, and have no qualms about blabbing. I have a feeling that if things were turned around they wouldn't be so loose-lipped.
Moggy - good luck with scan on Wed.
JackieG & Cla - glad to hear ET went well. Not long now before your BFPs!

You probably have more follies and/or bigger follies on the right side. I had 13 follies on the left and 7 on the right and the ones on the left side were definitely much bigger. But what do I know? I'm still new to this IVF stuff.

My PMA is back today. I'm all smiles and feeling "pregnant". LOL

Jenc:

The few days before i tested Positive with my twins i felt so periody, i was telling my husband not to get too excited because i thought it was a bust. I would tell him I was cramping and had that full sensation you get like you are just going to flood (yuck i know sorry), i felt like i feel the day or so before my period comes on 100%. But i never had any bleeding and had a beta of over 2000.

Good luck
