pregnant after IVF

Hi I managed to get pregnant via a frozen embryo implant, but miscarried after 8 weeks. I did not know this had happened until a 10 wk scan. Does anyone have a similar story could I get pregnant again?

I became pregnant on my first FET, I started with a low beta but the numbers rose perfectly uptil 14000, I felt great and wasnt worried at all when out of the blue i started to bleed (and miscarriage). It was just before the first scan around 8 weeks. It was the most devistating thing ever and I still feel the pain when i think about that baby's birth date. But my DH always tells me something wasnt right with the embryo, and being an FET its very possible. I took a year off from TTC after that and watched my due date roll past, sometimes i would let myself think about how many weeks i would be now and I so wished to be ttc again. This MC happened in Dec 2003 and I didnt start ttc again until Jan 2005, where i started Herbs. Acupuncher, diet and execise, then in june i went to see a IVF doctor and was booked in for treatment for july. I had 2 embryos put back in late July and now i am 26 weeks pregnant with twins.

So take the time you need to heal and then start again and i am sure it will be successful with time.

Hi Bharti, I am also exactly in your situation. My 2ivfs failed and I was left with 4 frozen ones. I tried all in December, got pregnant and miscarried at 6/7 weeks. When I had 2 scans, doc said there was no heart beat. I had a D&C 2 weeks ago. One thing I changed in my FET was having accupuncture. I have a feeling that, accupuncture must have helped me getting pregnant. Now I used all my insurance money and don't know what to do. I will be 37 and DH will be 40 in 4 months. So, what I suggest is, go for accupuncture, have regular exercise and get your thyroid, insulin blood tests done.

I went to a woman in Australia called Ruth Sharkey, she is quite famous here and she mixes special herbs for fertility, I was never told what any of the individual herbs were i just drank 20mls twice a day of it. A Acuputurist who treats infertility also have a range of herbs they like to give so if you are planing to see an acupunturist (which i suggest you should) talk to them about what "potions"they brew
