"Dropping"

Post by LittleP »

Just a quick question - when do people's "bumps" usually drop - is there a timescale as to when this can happen, or is it just a unique occurance?

Anyone with any experience or knowledge I would love to hear .....

Thank you

Little P

LP I can't remember exactly when my bump dropped but I felt like Icarried quite low anyway, perhaps someone else will be able to help, I know Alex will be 2 soon and shouldn't forget these things.

Little P,

I carried quite low and baby's head has been in position for quite awhile so I do not believe I experienced the dropping effect as dramatic as someone who might carry higher. I feel lucky in that I did not have too much overcrowding although my ribs got a beating for a couple of weeks.

If I had to say when I noticed less upper fullness and more "pelvic pressure" it would be around Weeks 36 - 37.

Heck I haven't even experienced Braxton Hicks contractions so I am definitely not going by the books. . .

Hi LP,
People are telling me that I'm still carrying high and I'm still waiting for the head to engage or feel something.. Kim had mentioned that she got some AF like pains when the head engaged, so I'm trying to see if I feel anything like that too..My doc said that the baby's head shd be down around 38 weeks..that is it should start turning from 36 weeks on..

hugs,

My Little One's head is down and 3/5 engaged, but I am still carrying very high - I am still the proud owner of a rather fetching watermelon!!!

Well, I guess it's a case of "horses for courses" and it will happen when it happens!!! I just like ticking the boxes that's all....

Hope you are all doing ok.
