I have a question..... The two times I had the frozen egg transfers done, I would get hot flashes for days. I kept thinking I had fever but I did not ( I walked around with the thermometer in my mouth for days)98 the whole time.
Then I would get the chills. I felt like early menopause lol. My RE said she thought it might be a reaction to the progesterone shots, But it seems weird that it started when they were transferred.... Anyone???????

It may very well be an immunology (I think right term) problem. My DH recently read something about it. Apparently there is a clinic in the states that has done a lot of research about allergic reactions to our embryos, and they give this as a reason for numerous failed ivf attempts.
They apparently do consultations over the phone, so I will speak to dh tonight and post details for you as soon as. We decided we would look into it if second ivf failed (currently on my 2ww).
will keep you posted!

I got the same senstation for the first 2 days after ET with my first ivf attempt. I actually woke up with drenching night sweats first night after ET. I'm very curious as well if this is some funny immunological response. I had already used progesterone with many IUI's before and never got the feverish/nightsweats/chills response. You've made me think about it again so I'll try perusing the internet and let you know what I find.

I am waiting to hear the info as well. I have had 3 failed IVFs. Each time after ET I experience heavy sneezing, tearing eyes, swollen glands...I just realized the connection. Now I am trying to see if I can have my APA levels tested and if need be go on heparin therapy.
So please if anyone has any similar immunolgic isues, please let us know.
