Joanna,

I am living in a very stretchy pair of dress pants that I can wear to work...EVERYDAY!!

I was bloated, but Dr put me on bedrest and had me drink V8 juice and I lost all of the bloated and fluid in me. I also lost 3 pounds too.

Sex?? whats that? Oh my poor DH!!

Good luck to you :D

Jen - let us know the date of your scan then we can add it to the list!! How are you feeling?

Jackie + Joanne - Not long now!!!!! How are you both coping? I think I'll be going crazy when I get to the 2ww. I am sending a load of baby dust your way! More BFP's !!!!!!!!!!

Charlie - my headaches have gone now that I've started oestrodial but I feel so depressed now! I have been bursting into tears on and off all day and I feel physically drained. I have to increase the dosage on Tuesday - Oh joy!!! Poor DH - everytime I look at him I am annoyed by him. We have argued lots this weekend. Hope side effects wear off soon - I wasnt expecting this. I had Menopur last time and was fine.

Keep on going girls - we'll get there in the end!!

Hi Sophie,
Just want to ask a stupid question. Hope you don't mind.
Are you having frozen ET? And if so, why have they got you on all the drugs?
Try not to kill DH. I know it's easily done. I am seriously trying not to get stressed with mine. We were supposed to be going to a dinner party last night, but I wouldn't go- too many drugs to mix and am really trying to grow my five very small eggs for my scan tomorrow. Of course he came in drunk having had a marvellous time. Said he missed me, but I don't believe him.
Saying that, I had a lovely night in- just me and the cat. I felt much better for it.
Good luck with it all.

Sorry guys. Been celebrating!

I am supposed to have one in two weeks. I just haven't made the appointment yet. I will on Tuesday. They want to see me for blood work to check some levels. Some kind of levels were low and I'll be damned if I remember anything she said after "you got your first positive preg test." LOL

Hi Ladies,
Scan went well today. I'm ready for EC on Tuesday a.m. I'm nervous/excited. Not looking forward to the post-anesthesia nausea and pain that I had last time. At least I get one day off from work now! My dr wouldn't tell me how many follicles, but she said I did much better than last time. Not sure if that means they grew better or I have more. I kinda don't want to know b/c then I'll just spend the next two days obssessing. DH was driving me absolutely crazy yesturday. I've been nauseated the last two days and haven't gotten much sympathy from him. (Anybody else experience nausea this far along, or am I just nervous about everything? I wonder if it is all the estrogen b/c I feel like I did when I was PG.) Anyway, I finally told him he wasn't being supportive, and now he's the nicest guy in the world! I've been trying to occupy my mind by planting tulips and hugging my puppy.
JackieG - I posted elsewhere, but good luck with your test on Tues. and Joanna - good luck with your test on Wednesday. Here's to two more BFPs from you girls!
Angel - excellent news on those HCG levels! You're well on your way. Good luck on Jan 13th with the first pictures of your little pea!
JenC - did you do anything fun to celebrate? Good luck again with your test Tuesday and scan in a couple weeks. Keep us posted.
To everyone else, hope your treatments are going well. If you are not currently in treatment, hopefully you will be soon. Take care!

Not really. Just ran up my cell phone bill by calling 50 people. My husband is going to kill me, but he can't hurt a preg woman! LOL Last night we went out to dinner with his friend and his wife. They brought their almost 1yr old son. Tomorrow, my dad is taking DH and I, my mom, my sister and her boyfriend out to dinner to celebrate. I can't stop smiling. Everyone at work just knew! It still doesn't seem real!

Come on Jackie and Jo! POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm blowing my baby dust your way. Don't sneeze!

Wow!
I can never believe how much goes on when I don't look for a few days!! I had to go back 3 pages!!!!

Jen - Have said this elsewhere but CONGRATS!!!!!! FANTASTIC news!
Jackie + Jo - Good luck with your tests on Tue + Weds. Am rooting for you!
Eminde, Angela + Kelly - good luck with your egg collections this week! :D
Souris - Great to hear your Mum is staying with you until transfer!
Anna - Hi! Glad to hear the conference went well (i find they're either fab or completely boring!!!)
Charlie - Hope the injections are ok! :?
Angeleyes - Great HCG numbers! Congrats!! :D
Kyla - I'm so sorry to hear your cycle was cancelled. :( Hope you can move forward again soon.
sue e - Best you have a little word with your bits and tell them exactly when they can and can't release that egg!!! How ridiculous that half the week is no good.
Lynne - Really hope your scan showed some follicle growth. Mine took longer than expected, but we finally got there, albeit a little bit late. It's not uncommon just a pain in the behind! 8)
Sophie - Hope you're ok! I went into "Miss Completely laid back" mode during the injections but it's common to go the other way. Does anyone else know about the treatment? If so, how about a "scream team" - a few very close friends you can call and vent some anger as and when you need to!!!!!

Haven't really had much time to think about test date! I have absolutely NO symptoms whatsoever - no "pregnancy" ones but no "af" ones either!! Can honestly say that I have no idea what way it's going to go on Friday. Oh well - no point fretting about it - won't make a blind bit of difference to the outcome!!!

Just a thought - strikes me that most people do their injections in the evening? Were you told to do this? My hopistal said I could do them when I wanted - as long as it was basically the same time each day. I chose to do them in the morning as a) DP is not always around of an evening and wanted him to be there for moral support and b) If we were going out I didn't want to have to "shoot up" when we were out.
I had a little rountine going - sniffed, then made a cup of tea, mixed the drugs, did the injections and then sat back enjoyed my cuppa!! Lynne - I was thinking about this when you said about going out. May be a way of getting round this?

Anyway - must dash! Hope everyone is well! Let us know how scans/collections/transfers/tests go!!!

Yes - I know it is hormones but I am having to force myself to write this tonight. I feel so low!!! I want to cry all the time and sit and do nothing at all. I am not talking to DH this evening (again). He came home from work, I started to cook a meal while chatting to him then 10 minutes later he says - oh I've had a huge lunch I'm not really hungry. AAAGGGHHHH! Worse still, I increase the oestrodial from 2 a day to 3 a day tomorrow - I hope my body gets used to it quickly! And if I get pregnant, I will have to take it for another 3 months - OH NO!

Cla - I need a scream team!!!!! On Saturday evening he went out with a friend for a few drinks and I told him to sleep in our daughters bed. I had my daughter and two cats in bed with me all night - it was perfect! I wish I could do that every night. Re: time of injection, i do mine in the evening as the morning is always a rush and there is a risk of daughter coming in and seeing me inject. Also DH is around in the evening to help.

Lynne - Yes, I am doing Frozen ET. The reason I am having all the drugs (more than my regular IVF last year!) is because I rarely have an AF. My hormones are really screwed up, I spot for about 2 weeks before a period then only have one for about a day. I never build up a lining in my uterus and my body does not produce enough hormones if I do get pg. PS. Your cat sounds like good company, just like my two!

Charlie - I am not having EC. I am having Frozen embryos transferred. For this reason I am taking oestrodial which prevents any follicles growing. It is making me feel like cr@p though!

Help needed - i have my ET on Feb 10th. On Feb 17th my close friend is having a huge party. She has asked all her girlfriends to arrive a couple of hours early to help shift tables, put out chairs etc.. We all agreed but obviously i don't want to risk it. Also on the night my 3 close friends will be suspicious when I don't drink, dance etc. I have got to the point where i feel I need to tell them. I don't want to make up a load of lies. Last time I told them at the last minute when the OHSS got bad and I needed their help. they were very supportive. WHAT SHOULD I DO? What do you think ladies?

Sorry for the rant tonight - emotions high!

Love and babydust to all,
Sophie x

Sophie hang on in there!
I nearly ate my DH alive this morning, but he has been unexpectedly over the moon that we can go to EC, so he's in my good books now.
Sounds like you're having a rough time of it. AF can be a pain in the ass can't it? I remember when I was in my 20's saying that I would open a bottle of champagne the day my menopause started. I have regretted that sentiment many many times since then. Make the tea and tell DH to eat it or else! Cheeky thing.
I have 2 cats too- Milligan and Minnie. One crazier than the other. They are good company but DH doesn't like them in the house. It is a great cause of trouble between us.

Cla, thanks for the tip about the morning injection, It's a good idea but, for me flawed beyond all comparison. There is NO WAY I could drag my head off the pillow in the morning to do an injection- it takes all my time usually. I decided to come clean with my friend over her dinner party and she was SO lovely about it. I am glad I did, at least someone knows now.
Must dash- DH has cooked tea and I'm on the computer. Think I'm in trouble.

Sophie, thank you...

Are you afraid to tell your friends? I'm confused.... :? I would tell them if they are your friends. You might want the extra support. Plus, TAKE IT EASY!
