Hi Everyone

Once again it is Friday - the weeks are just flying by aren't they? it seems that way to me.

Just wanted to say hi to you all and good luck with all your scans, EC's, ET's, & 2ww & results etc over the next couple of months. Today is my last day at work until 3rd April and we don't yet have internet at home  so I won't be able to log on to see how you are all doing. Hope to get it soon though, I'll miss you guys and your support.

I start downregging on Tuesday and won't start stimming until approx 1st March (due to hospital moving to new hospital) EC approx 13th March with ET approx 15th March.

Take care everyone & as soon as I have internet access I'll be back. Wishing us all lots of PMA & baby dust & BFPs.

Love Pauline xx

ENJOY your time off Pauline and good luck for all your tmt!
Kate21 - hope your scan was good today and that you can proceed as planned?
Allison - enjoy your holiday! Can only increase the PMA!
Smita - you have sold yoga to me  Will see if I can do an evening course here.
Michelle - good luck for next week's appt! Let us know how it goes.
Tracii - great to hear your news. Sounds so relaxing with all those massages. Just the kind of environment you need to be in right now.
jodic - good luck for Monday. It feels great to get started, doesn't it?!
Daly - hope the accupuncture works for you and gets your FSH levels down
donna99 - can't advise you re the embies unfortunately as haven't got to that stage yet. I'm sure you'll make the right decision. I tough one though... Good luck!!
Caroline - hoping AF has arrived so that you can get going.

My EC will be on 30 Jan but they won't do ET this cycle because of over-stimulation - was so scared that they'd cancel this cycle again but luckily wasn't the case. So it'll be FET for us probably in March!

Good luck to everyone here!!!

Hi Girls,

Just thought I'd let you know had second scan yesterday to chack my womb lining and it has bucked its ideas up! Since Wednesday when it was 5 point something it has thickened up to 7 yesterday! :D Was very happy with that. If it continues thickening (which it should) then by the time I have my FET it will be around the 9 -10 thickness which will be perfect for the embies!

Hopefully the acc I had yesterday will help the process along ( in addition to keeping me nice and relaxed) as well as lots of PMA.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and may Feb be the month for lots of BFP :D

Hello all,
Wanted to join the chat as I'm about to start ICSI treatment cycle. Start nasal spray tomorrow. Little anxious and excited too. This is my first go with IVF. Just wondering about any info re side effects from drugs, that seems to be my main anxiety at the mo. Can you have the occasional glass of red wine whilst on them, that's relaxation for me! :?
Good luck to all

Hi everyone and welcome to Crystal and Mazda. Wish you both well with your cycles. Mazda, I think side effects vary - some people get a bit PMT-ish and moody, though this is such an emotional process that I reckon mood swings are normal with or without drugs! I'm not on any drugs this time as I'm just having some frozen embies put back (if they thaw, pleeaaaase) but I didn't have any particular side effects. Most clinics say you can have the odd glass of wine, though some fertility experts (eg Zita West whose book a lot of people recommend) say to cut out alcohol altogether. But you've gotta live! I'm having a glass about once or twice a week but will stop after ET.

Daly, thanks for your inspiring story of your friend who had a baby from her last 2 frosties -that gives me hope. BTW I am from Europe and "puck up" still doesnt' mean anything to me!

Michelle, sorry to hear about your high FSH level. My yoga teacher says yoga can help with that kind of thing. Also, I've had a bit of a bad reaction to acupuncture needles so now my acupuncturist uses a little machine that uses an electrical signal instead. She reckons it works just as well and you can hear something happening as the noise the machine makes changes. I find I get less jumpy than with the needles.

Kate, hope the stick peeing is going well and good luck for the thaw. You're right FET is a lot easier than IVF but I'm really nervous about the thawing cos I've only got 2 embies to play with. Hope it all goes well on Wednesday. Looks like you'll be just coming up to the end of your 2ww when I start mine.

Eminde, sorry to hear about the ohss, but at least you can still get to EC and have the frosties waiting for you for when you feel better. Take good care of yourself.

Donna, I can't believe your clinic makes you go in just to test for ovulation when sticks are available for peeing on! My clinic is so hands off that I only go in on the day of ET itself, which does seem a bit minimalist. I'm a bit concerned that there is no womb lining monitoring going on or blood tests for levels of x, y or z (take your pick, could be anything). Looks like we'll be doing it at about the same time - I'm expecting to start ovulation testing next Friday. AF has been and gone so it's all systems go.

Hi to everyone else, sorry I can't keep up where everyone is

love Caroline

Hi Everyone :D I am just trying to catch up on where everyone is...lots going on Feb and March....with lots of BFPs!!! I am on day 10 of DRing and AF is nowhere in site!! I got cramps yesterday and thought for sure she is arriving...but nothing. My body is like clock-work so I have no idea what is taking her so long...I think maybe with the DRing and travelling it has messed me up a bit. Please do a jig for me that AF arrives today!!!

 Hi girls

Just wanted to say and that i am still about and reading all your news when i can. Have been working quite a bit and trying to find a new house. It's tricky though - 2bed? 3bed? 4bed? won't know that until i have some kid. Anyway i reckon 2-3 beds then pray for a nice BFP in May. That should be when i have my 2ww i think. Start medi around the end of Feb as long as my AF comes on time, but it usually does.
I am getting a bit impatient now and just want to get on with it.
Isn't it funny that we have spend all our TTC year dreading AF coming so we can be pregnant and now we want it here so we can get on with the medi.

Tracii - the jig is done (but without the kilt on).

Crystal & Mazda - Welcome. Look forward to reading all about your cycles.

Donna - Good luck for Feb 16th, will be thinking of you as it's my birthday. What did you think of the Embie glue?

Caroline - I am as confused as you. Too many to write to personally. Am thinking of you all.

Catch up soon

Hi all,

My AF started today, too late though to be counted as Day 1. So I have to call the clinic again in the morning to request treatment and then I am in early on Wednesday for blood test and scan to hopefully get the go ahead for round three of ICSI. I'm really trying to stay positive. The 2nd time I did ICSI, I got a brilliant reading of 5.8 . I don't get down regulated anymore. I'm on the coflare regime which meant I had no side effects like I had on the 1st attempt of ICSI. First time I was crazy with the headaches, moodswings, etc.

Not looking forward to the daily visits again, getting up at 0530am. Still small price to pay if it works. It's only 2 weeks out of my life.

Good luck to everyone that's starting, in the middle of or finishing treatment. Lots of baby dust and PMA to everyone

Hi Ladies! Just a quick update from my appt today. Due to my high FSH level my RE is going with a very aggressive approach, I guess the highest dose of stimulating meds possible, on my very first try. He explained that my chances of conceiving are less than half of an average ICSI/IVF cycle and if the ovaries don't respond as well as they would like we would cancel the IVF and just do IUI instead. I'm sure he probably just wants us to know what the worst possible scenario would be just in case.

I'm still staying positive though. I'd rather go through it and fail than spend my whole life wondering "what if"??? And while my chances of conceiving are slim (25%) it's better than nothing! :)

My suppression start date is scheduled for Feb 9th. Tentative egg retrieval is Feb 22-23 and embryo transfer is around Feb 28.

Lisa, good luck on round 3 of ICSI. That's what they have planned for us as well. Just a little extra $$ but good if it helps our chance of conceiving.

Traci, my fingers crossed for you! Good luck.

Caroline, thanks for the info on the electronic acupuncture. That's a new one to me. I'll have to look into it.

I'm sending out lots of baby dust to all of you! Keep positive! All of our positive thoughts and energy help more than you know!

Hello All

I have a question......

We went for our follow up appointment today after the BFN and it has left me quite upset and depressed for no good reason really. The doc confirmed that I haven't been ovulating for the last two months since the IVF. So the drugs have completely screwed me up (as I used to ovulate before) and I'm upset that any chance of anything happening naturally has been taken away from us. (Can you tell I'm wallowing at the moment?!)

We also have decided to try IUI before going back to IVF to give me a little break - so I have to have the tube test next week. A bit worried about this. Although I had a natural pregnancy before that only suggests one tube is ok, the other might not be, so she wants to test for this before trying IUI. What's the test like, does it hurt??

So all in all, I'm a little depressed. Just got myself a bottle of wine and trying to concentrate on the positives. I think it's my screwed up hormones that have made me so upset. I've been snapping at everyone at work today and constantly feel on the verge of tears....... any one else experienced a 'slow recovery' after IVF?

Hoping to hear I'm not the only moody non-ovulating girl around. Aggghhh!

Good luck to all.
