i am new to this and really do not know how the site works, bear with me please! we had an et on january 17, ended up back at the docs this past sat, i have lots of fluid, they say this is normal. they did a beta test and it came back at 200. i went to the docs two days later it was 440. i will go back on 2-1 for my third test then they will do a ultrasound a few days later to see if both embryos transferred. they docs feel very confident that we are pregnant, the congratulate us each time we go there. i am still unsure what all of these numbers are? can anyone shed some light in english(not docs terms) for what i should be looking for. we are only about two weeks pregnant so it is too early for any symptoms, right! the dos has put me on bed rest for all the fluid for 3 days, so i am driving myself crazy on the internet trying to understand science!!!
you sound VERY pregnant to me anything over 5 in Beta Hcg is considered +ve, and a healthy pregnancy the beta Hcg doubles rapidly in the first few weeks. A good site to cut through to the facts is www.betabase.org there are charts there where you can see how far the beta's vary as each woman and each pregnancy is different. Mine was 380 or so 14 days after ET and rose to 108,000 by week 9 some girls have much lower ones, it's the increase that counts. Check out the website sweetie, it will reassure you.
