Question for Smita

Post by teacup09 »

Hi Smita
I've been reading your post...you are a wonderful person cheering everybody up! I, too, am from India currently in Germany.I'm going thr' my first IVF cycle. today is CD8. What precautions did you take during your cycle? I'm a vegetarian and currently off any soy.I read about pineapple.I had come across mixed researches about pineapple ( that you should eat it to help implantation) but I know about mangos and papayas ( should be avoided ) as they are considered 'hot' ( ushna). Is there anything else I should consider? I'm already drinking about 12-14 glasses of water daily...Any suggestions are welcome...
Thanks
Baby dust to all of you! I pray for everybody and hope they get their good news very soon!

Hi, I am also from India and living in US. Consider accupuncture. It helps implantation and doctors also recommend that. Good Luck

Hi reddy
thanks ! I tried that option! I live in a mid size town in Germany and there is no accupuncturist here! :( anyways...I'm thinking about more positive things.

Hi teacup,
welcome here :D
Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle.
You seem to be doing the rightthing so far- I didnt take any precautions during the stim period- only after ETI was told to treat myself with kid gloves till test date, which I did.
I wasnt on bed rest as such, but did stay put in one place as much as possible.
Was told to avoid standing for a long time and definitely no climbing up and down stairs..
I'm also a vegetarian, was told to avoid brinjals and drumsticks.
Eventually, I'm also a believer in fate, so 'if it has to work, it will no matter what'

Anyway,
Viel Gluck!
I hope i was of help

Post your good news sooon!!

Hi Ladies
Sorry for not replying early. Smita, Reddy thanks for your advices. I did manage to find an accupuncturist. She's from India too!!!I had one session and felt great! I was verry cold though after the session. May be it's the season. It was -8 degree celsius that day. But anyway, I'm scheduled for ER tomorrow. I opted for local anesthesia. Does it hurt? I'm already nervous with all the IVF procedure. The doctor saw 11-12 big follicles, all are 14 mm and up! I hope everything goes well!!!

Hi teacup09, don't worry about ER. I don't know about local anesthesia. I had full anesthesia and woke up with nice 1 hour sleep. I suggest you go for it. Good Luck

Hi angelbaby,

I didn't have any OHSS problems. I am not doing another ivf. We are trying naturally(of course, we don't have any hopes). I am looking for a job now to get medical insurance and also my DH wants to change his current job. We are maxed out  .

Well, good luck for your ivf.
