bleeding in second trimester

Post by cpgirl »

Hi All,

I recently had some heavy bleeding at 19 weeks and spent 2 days in hospital. Baby is fine and ultrasounds didn't really show anything. 1 week later I spotted and passed a few lg clots - again things were fine. I had 2 episodes of subchorionic bleeding in the first trimester. Dr has put me on bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy ( 4 months left!)
I wasjust wondering if anyone could share similar stories or experiences with some positive outcomes to help ease my anxiety. thanks in advance.

cpgirl,
Take good care of yourself. It must be an anxious time for you. Hoping everything goes well for you. I think the important thing is to be under bed rest and not to strain oneself in any way..

Take care of yourself and "bump" - the bedrest will be worth it in the end!!

I really hope that things go smoothly for you from now on.

Hie

Just to share my experiences with you. I had spotting in the 1st tri from week 8 till week 11. It stopped completely but one day I had at week 25 I had a massive bleed, but my baby was fine, the hospital said I had cervical corrosion. Iam now in my week 37 and Iam doing great.

Take a lot of rest it is boring but rewarding in the end.

GOODLUCK.

Just wondering how things have been since your last visit on the boards, I am eperiencing something very similar and desperate for someone to tell me it's going to be ok. I had a heavy bleed on Sunday with 2 clots nothing since then ecept the remainder of the old blood, my back is really sore, but has been for the last week or so, they have carried out a scan and the baby seems fine but my placenta seems low, please let me know if anyone has experienced this and happy endings. Thanks in advance

The best advice I can give you is to have loads of bed rest especially if your back is sore like you said. I had bleeding and bad back problems throughout but i rested as much as i could. And follw your doctor's advice. Though my bleeeding was from a different cause, it worrried me so much. And I know what you are going through.

Please take care of your self and your baby and i wish a quick recovery.

Just posting to send a big hugs, and say rest rest rest - I had to rest most of the first tri because of m/c history - soooooo boring but worth it. Seems to have become a habit now which is no bad thing. My doctor says, these days is a tendency for a woman to feel she should go through pregnancy as if nothing is going on and that resting should be more part of the norm.

hugs
