Hi Ladies, Hope all of you are doing ok. I have been away for ages, actually after my 1st IVF faliure I think I just needed to get away for a while and then for no reason I just seemed to stay away, but rather selfishly I need you girls again! :D I hope to start IVF soon, this time we're trying the short protocol so I will start stimms straight away, once my AF arrives and a scan has been done. I'm due around 7th Sept. My doc is intending to start me on Gonal F last time I was on Puregon, I wander if anyone can tell me if there is a difference, is one better than the other?

Otherwise I have to confess I haven't read all the posts, but will slowly get back into them and catch up with all the news from a few months ago (my last cycle was March).

Sending you all lots of baby dust!

rachel congratulations on your BFP

Shantala - How you doing? Hope you're feeling better today but I agree with the others, if not you need to get checked out. Thinking of you

nannybear - How's the 2ww going? only 5 days to go :)

Heard a lot on here about bed rest and taking it easy - is that only after ivf? Bit worried now as I was told to carry on as normal after iui. The only thing they said was not to go swimming straight after iui (as if!). Been trying to keep really busy so I don't think about it all the time and spent last 2 days babysitting niece and nephew - no chance of taking it easy there
Only 3 days to testing and no symptoms at all yet. Not sure if this is good or bad - last time I had few symptoms but must have imagined them cos it was still BFN so maybe feeling normal is good for me :?

To everyone else - good luck with whatever stage you're at and your support is such a help. I don't post very often but am trying to follow you all and hope we all get BFPs v soon

hello ladies

welsh - thank u so much for posting for me. really appreciate it!

everyone, especially aunty and carolyn, thank u so much for nagging. aunty if it wasnt for your last post about the breathing i dont think i would have called the doc. so thank u so so much.

u're probably all wondering how i'm posting but would u believe it its from the hospital bed! have this phone/tv/internet thing and thought i wuld see if this works. its taking me ages to write this though as its a funny keyboard so cant do personals.

anyway as welshgger said theyve admitted me with ohss. feeling crappy but better just knowing what it is. on a drip to keep up my fluids and have to drink plenty on top of that. the medical director of the ivf unit saw me this morning which was good as he must know what he's doing. he said he wont know how long i will have to stay in, it could be from a day to a week.

thanks all for your well wishes.

forgot to say the only bugger is that i've been admitted to the hospital where were having tmt which is about 45 mins away from home and not our local hosp. but i rather that as they have the expertise but its just a pain as sme of my family dont have cars so cant come and visit. nevr mind at least i have u, my second family!

Shantala - how cool that you can post from your hospital bed. Thanks for letting us know how you were doing through Beckie too. It is best that you are in the hospital being looked after. I have read many times over the last 18 months about girls getting OHSS & they need to get you on a drip before it gets any worse. Like Aunty I was quite concerned that they were being a bit casual about it. It is a good sign that your beanies have implanted and that you are going to get a good result. Really hope that you feel better soon sweetie

Squeezan - drs have different views on bed rest/no bed rest after tmt. I laid down for 3 days after my 1st cycle as I had read that it can help. It drove me mad and my cycle 3/4 the drs were actually telling me that as my circulation was not fab that getting up and doing light walking/exercise would be much better. No common school of thought. Best to have done what you are comfortable with. Hope that you are going to get good news in the next few days. Crossing everything for you

Nerms - we all need some chill out time especially between cycles. Hope that you are now focusing on the future and this cycle is going to be the one for you

Rachel - hope that you are looking after the little beanie. If you are felling sick then sure that is a good sign! Take good care and don't over do it

Beckster - cannot believe the X has started already and will run until Xmas. Was bit boring last night but sure that the excitement will build. The driving sounds fun. Nice pressie for your dh

Jen1d - sorry that you could not have the bbq. Hope that your dh had a good time and his head is not too sore. Sorry that you are still waiting. Almost there babe. Think you should put another patch on if this one has fallen off

Gill - glad that you have started the patches. Hope that they don't give you the dreadful headaches that Jen1d got on the 1st day. You are on your way now

Hugs to everyone else. Weather here is very dull and rainy. dh and I went out in town for so lunch. Finished 2nd book. Going to send to my Mum as she is struggling to understand and knows that I am sad and is frustrated that there is not much that she can do

Hope that you all have a good week. Will try to post when I am at work but at a client for 5 days so chances might be limited.

Love
Carolyn
