Hey Julie,
They calculate your pregancy natural or otherwise from day one of your period. So for us you add 2 weeks from EC. eg my EC was 23/01/06 which means i am 3.5 weeks from then but 5.5 weeks pregnant as i need to add 2 weeks for day one of period. It seems bizarre for us as it was early december whn i last had a period!
Hope this helps.

To calculate how many weeks you are pregnant you go from LMP.
It usually works out that you are actually 2 weeks more than EC/ET.
If you look at the left hand side of this page under Resources there is a heading "Pregnancy Calculator" - if you go into that it will be able to help you calculate exactly how pregnant you are.
hi ladies, i have one quick question this morning and im hoping you can help.
i was wondering if i have a miscarriage, and am doing progesterone injections, will i have any bleeding? what are the symptoms of a miscarriage??? i am a worry wart and being pregnant has finally set in and i am having a hard time being excited now. please offer any comments! thanks
I got pregnant naturally about a year and a half ago and sadly, it ended in a miscarriage. Since it was a natural pregnancy - my symptoms greatly varied from this time around. I did have sore boobs all through. At 6 weeks my sore boobs went away and I started spotting - faintly - and only for about 2 days. No more symptoms of a miscarriage until 8 weeks when I started spotting again. Then at 10 weeks I had the miscarriage. From 6 weeks when I was spotting the doctors kept telling me - as long as you aren't cramping - things are okay - and that was true for me. I started heavy cramping shortly before the miscarriage.
I would definitely encourage you to not think about miscarriage!! You've made it this far - and with good HCG numbers - that basically means that you are going to carry a successful pregnancy to term! From what I've read - strong HCG numbers early on are GREAT predictors of a successful pregnancy - so don't worry about a miscarriage - enjoy knowing you are pregnant. We're so lucky to get this far - so you're doing something right - keep it up!!
GREGMBARRY... THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH, I NEEDED THAT. I JUST WANT TO TRY AND BE PREPARED FOR ANY SYMPTOMS THAT I MIGHT GET, I DON'T WAN TO OVERLOOK ANYTHING.
TWO WEEKS SEEMS LIKE 20 YEARS WHEN YOU ARE DOING SCANS TO SEE EVERYTHING!!!
hey Julie that is cool. YOur scan in on march 6th also. Long time they are making us wait hey. I am so jelaou of these girls getting there a=scan at 6 weeks. I want mine now too, but must be patient. How are you feeling? I am just starting to get the boob swelling kicking in but nothing else(apart from the old OHSS of course). Long may the morning sickness stay away.

Hello ladies!
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I went for my 1st ultrasound on the 15th and was able to see a little flutter of a new heart. My DH and I couldn't believe it! I'm glad they made prints for us since I still think it is all a dream. We told my DH's parents and they were very excited for us. Haven't told my family yet, we're waiting until the 12 weeks hit. I've got a few symptoms: breast tenderness, acute nose sensitivity  and starting to feel slightly nauseus. Does anyone know if extra progesterone make you feel more nauseus?
Dawn: Glad to hear about the great "double" news. Wow twins! Congratulations. Keep thinking positive thoughts. I think you and I are on the same schedule since our 1st u/s were 2 days apart. I'm trying the ticker tape BBCode in the signature box. Here's hoping it works.
gregmbarry: Read your response to Dawn about the HCG levels. I have been a little worried too, but glad to know that little tidbit.
We had our first scan yesterday at 7 weeks. It was amazing. We saw the little heart fluttering away. We had 2 embies put back in but we've only one baby in there. Sad that the other didn't make it - but sooooo happy that this one has stuck in there and is growing very much as expected. Babe measures at 1.13 centimetres. I meant to ask for the heart rate but we were so emotional that I forgot! I'll have an appointment with my doctor this Friday and maybe he'll have that information.
hello everyone glad to hear all the ulstrasounds are going well! i have one tomorrow to check dates etc. i can't wait! i will be nearly 9 weeks then ....................i hope to see arms and legs lol! maybe im dreamin!
