Thank you ladies for the tips and answering my questions...you are so right about one minute you know it's worked, and the next you are certain it hasn't! It is such a mind game!

So glad everything went well for you, Pootle. Take it easy, especially this first week. I think this is the hardest part! At least during the shots you get to do SOMETHING! During this part you just wait...and wait...and think way too much! I sound like a stress ball right now, but I have been very relaxed. You guys tend to hear my freak out sessions  Sorry!

Thanks, I will try and be more positive! Its been the toughest month yet. Everyone I know that has tried to get pregnant in the last 2 years is either pregnant or had a child, or on their second one. Its been the hardest time ever and have been feeling very sorry for myself! I am trying to snap out of this as its not helping I'm sure!

I've got a holiday planned soon..........going to New York hurray! So this is distracting me and giving me something to look forward to.

Terri2...I hope you're wrong! A lot of women get spotting and still have a bfp...I wouldn't give up hope yet.

Yes, I know and I'm sure all of the other ladies on here feel your pain as well...when everyone around you is getting pregnant and they make it sound so easy. Well, you just want to hit them...or when everyone keeps asking you when you're going to have children...you want to smack them too  If they only knew how inconsiderate they were being. Hopefully you'll get to a point where it will just roll off of you. When you get there...let me know what the secret is

I had 3 embryos transferred on 9/10. My blood test is tomorrow. I don't know what I feel except for a bunch of butterflies in my stomach.

I just found this web site, and it looks like a great one. I've been suffering alone for 3 years now.

I'll keep you posted on the results.

thanks br888
I know that AF is coming. Im quite sure of it. I went to work and burst into tears today to my poor colleague. I don't have many people I can talk to now. She said at least I don't have to worry she'll come to work and say 'I'm pregnant' (shes 56). that made me laugh at least.

I wish I didnt' get this spotting, I hate it. I'd rather have that extra wait when I can pretend that I might get a BFP. I never get as far as doing a test normally. Does anyone know why some of us get this. I never had it before I went on the pill.

Hello Ladies,

Its comforting to know that we are not alone, isn't it?

This is my first time posting here. I am on my first IVF cycle after 3 failed IUIs and two years of trying. There is no explanation for my infertility.

I am now 7 days past the transfer. They retrieved 13 eggs, 12 fertilized. There were 6 - 8 cell embryos with no fragmentation at three days after retrieval. Dr. transferred 2 and froze 4.

I will be getting my blood test on Sunday and am trying to keep my hopes up despite quite a bit of AF-like cramping and other pains "down there". Any of you have or heard of success stories when these kinds of pains are present?

I would love to hear from you!

Melissa,

I too just had my 3rd IVF cycle (with a positive beta) and experienced a lot of cramping in my lower abdominal region. According to the doctor's they said it was normal to have cramping after EC (as long as it’s not excruciating pain). One of the reasons given was due to Stims, ovaries are enlarged and may twist which cause pain. In that case, just switch positions and see if that helps.

Good luck for your test on Sunday. I have my first scan next week. Fingers crossed.

Melissa,
I had AF like pains all through my 2ww- from 2-3 days after my ET- was so nervous through the whole wait.. it was agonising.

Terri,
I'm so sorry you're having so much mental tension- abt the spotting, usually BC pills make you more regular, so they do tend to shorten your cycle if you have a longer one..
Hang in there and be positive, lots ofwomen have spotting and go on to get positives- I am one of those..
Take care..
Brs,
hows the pma today?
keep it going!!

PMA AND BABYDUST TO ALL OF YOU !!
