SEPTEMBER 2WW

Post by michelle_in_scotland »

Hi girlies,
Seeing as it's almost September now i thought i'd start a 2ww thread for the month.

Well, it's now half way through week 1 for me, i've spent most of it lying on the couch watching films on Sky's True Movies channel, i just love watching those true stories. Still don't know when i'm back at work, if i'm doing my normal hours it will be next Friday afternoon but i think i will be asked to go back a few days early to cover someone on holiday.
I haven't been feeling too good since transfer, i just feel so tired and totally drained, keep getting crampy pains and i feel like i'm never away from the loo. I worked out the other day that AF is due the day before my test day. At the moment i'm not feeling positive at all, just like last time. I got the same quality and grade embryos transfered this time as last so i'm thinking, if it didn't work then with top quality Grade 1s why should it this time??
Sorry for the downer post.
How are you other Sept 2ww'ers doing, Lori, Jkos, Ange and Clair?
Take care all and hopefully i'll be a bit more positive when i post next.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Michelle

Sorry to hear that you are feeling less than positive about things at the moment.

My attitude at the moment is that after what I've been through in the last week it is going to work!
I have been sitting on the settee watching rubbish on TV, sleeping, reading and installing software on a new PC system for DH.

I have felt quite rough the last couple of mornings, my stomach feels very painful and it is swollen and feels like it is going to explode. The pains do go away after about an hour so I am not too worried - just uncomfortable!!

I hope you feel a bit more positve over the rest of weekend, but look after yourself and keep taking it easy

Best wishes to all
Ange

Hi all

How are we all doing?

I am so restless this is driving me nuts. Had ET on Thursday was sore Friday and Saturday had Af pains. Sunday I felt dreadful, lightheaded and so tired. Had real bad cramps last night and a small amount of brown discharge today only when i wiped myself(sorry i know this sounds disgusting  ). I also feel really bloated today. Am paranoid that my boobs are not sore. They stopped being sore Saturday and everything I read says first signs of pregnancy are Sore Boobs. AF was due on day of transfer.

I just wish I knew one why or another. Up and till Sunday felt really positive now not so sure. :? Roll on 8th September.

Bye for now

Clair

I know it's difficult but try and relax and focus on that positive outcome.

Remember that everyone is different and it is NOT an absolute that your boobs will be sore. The brown discharge could so easily be a sign of implantation bleeding which is a good sign :)

Sending loads of PMA and hugs your way.

Anyone else on the 2ww I hope that you are taking care of yourself and keeping fully charged with PMA.

Big hugs

Little P

Hi girls,
I found out yesterday that i'm back to work tomorrow, not looking forward to it but i will definately be taking it easy.
I have felt really bad since yesterday, sharp stabbing pains, was even doubled over a few times with them. When i haven't been getting the stabbing pains it's been AF type cramps, also been feeling really sick, headachey and light headed. I know that these can be seen as good signs but just like Clair i'm also feeling paranoid that my boobs aren't sore.
It's one week today til AF is due and one week tomorrow til my test day. I'm trying not to be positive as i think it will be a much harder time if it's a negative result, just trying to preserve my sanity (which is hard enough on the 2ww).
I hope all you other 2ww'ers are holding up.
Ange - how's the swollen stomach, still painfull? hope you feel better soon.
Round2 - welcome, how did it go giving yourself the shots?
Clair - i seem to be sharing a lot of your symptoms, my restlessness seems to be in bed at night, keep on tossing and turning all night long.
To the other Sept testers, Lori and Jkos, how are you both holding up?
Smita and Nicki, thanks for your good luck wishes.
Take care and talk to you all soon,
Lotsa love

Michelle

Hi all

Yes still got the swollen stomach. I have put on over half a stone since before EC.
Today and yesterday I have had stabbing pains rather than just general achy-ness which it has been up till now. I have found that laying on my back with my legs raised slightly does help with the stabbing pains and the bloaty feeling.

I agree with the sleeping. I cannot get comfortable in bed and the slightest movement or noise will wake me up. On top of that my bladder has its own timetable!
I am sleeping mostly on the settee so that I dont disturb DH too much.

So far no sore boobs but very tired and light headed.

For the last couple of days I have been able to nap as and when I need to but I went back to work today for the first time in what seems like ages (when in fact it is only a week!) This afternoon I left work a bit early.

I was quite glad to go back to work so that I have something else to think about rather than dwelling on what is going on in there. And I am trying not to obsess over it. Worrying is not going to change the outcome, whereas drinking, eating and resting the right way may have some influence over the final result. Sorry - rambled on a bit

Clair - are you signed off for the whole of the 2ww or are you going to work? Hope you feel better soon, we have already done nearly a week

Michelle - good luck at work tomorrow, I hope you are feeling better

best wishes to all

Hi all

Little P - Thank you for being voice of reason.xx

Michelle and Ange- I'm sorry you guys have got to go back to work. I am extremley lucky. I work for the NHS and am constanly on my feet . So with agreement of my GP(he's an absolute star!), My manager and occupational health dept. I've been signed off for nearly three weeks plus I had already booked two weeks annual leave so I don't go back to work till 26th Sptember. :D

You cannot have a cold without the hospital wanting to know what's going on and because all this started with me having an ovarian cyst nearly two years ago they know all about this and have been very understanding and supportive. I am really lucky. All my collegues have been understanding with me having time off for appointments and I'm getting daily texts from them.

Although I know you are "suffering" these 2WW as well it's so good to know that I am not the only one going through this at the moment. My sister-in-law called this afternoon she told me with her second child she was ten weeks gone before she got a positive hpt and spotted regually until 12th week. So Little P is right we are all different .

Ange- I hope your tummy isn't so uncomfortable I did try and put a pair of jeans on today but oppted for the skirt(elasticated!). Don't over do work!

Michelle- I too get restless at bedtime I find that's when my brain goes into overdrive. Make sure you don't over do it at work as well.

Smita - Just to say thank you for your support.

Hello to other ladies

bye for now

day 2 of bedrest after ET

Post by round2 »

I am so bored! I have watch so much TV, read books and ate lots of junk food! DH left for business trip today - My friend is coming over to give me my prog shot in the rear tonight and has volunteered to do so while DH is out of town. now that's a friend! (she went thru IVF and has 16 mo twin boys!).

i go back to work tomorrow. looking forward to the distraction and getting off the couch! My back is killing me and i have been pretty crampy. Don't remember that from last time I did this (successfully in 2003).

Are most of you from the UK? just curious...I'm in Florida.

Hope you are all doing well today!

I just saw this thread. I am hanging in there. It's nice to know that people are thinking about me (and I am of course, thinking of you ladies also).

The wait for me is almost over. I am not feeling super positive but I am also not giving up hope.. if that makes any sense. My boobs are sore but then again they seem to always be sore with the meds. I test on Saturday and am due for AF on Friday or Saturday so we'll see which comes first.

I hope all the rest of you are doing well -- sending good wishes your way.
