katie99 - Hey there my US twin! I'm on tenterhooks here, waiting to hear the results of your scan! The time difference is killing me! Hurry home please... p.s. Thanks so much for the advice about the cyst, I will try not to worry then until there is actually something to worry about! Re my schedule, they will tell me on Thursday when they want to see me again depending on what they see on the scan, but I'm betting on Saturday as I think they prefer not to scan on a Sunday. So you and I should be keeping each other company with scans on Thursday and Saturday.

dodo - pleased to hear that AF arrived and you can start to look forward again. That donor matching process sounds hard, hope you and DH find the right one for you. Thanks to you as well about the cyst advice - the sonographer said that whichever doctor from the clinic does my ER will probably drain it at the same time as collecting the eggs. I don't know whether 25x35mm counts as a 'small' cyst or not - I will be interested to see if it has grown any between yesterday's scan and my day 10 scan on Thursday.

Eol - how's things with you? Did AF arrive yet?

justwannabamom - so how did your u/s go today, are you triggering tonight??

Ashley - boo for migraines (aren't we so lucky getting all these headaches as part of the IVF process!?!?) but yay for AF arriving and being on your way to your FET. Fasten your seatbelt, you're off again!

Skylar - hurray, you're PUPO! Hope you're putting your feet up.

turtle - oooh, you're going to love acupuncture, it's so relaxing (and this is from someone who's pretty needle-phobic!). Sorry to hear that AF is causing some confusion over dates for your next cycle - it's never straightforward, is it! Try and enjoy your break away, these things seem to have a habit of working out well if you just leave them be - do you ever find that timing works out in a particular way that you're annoyed about, and then weeks/months later, you think to yourself "actually, that was a good thing, as it would have been a nightmare to try and cycle before because of x, y or z"?

Lorrie - definitely a stronger second line! Can't wait to hear the results of your early beta...

teachermom - OMG is not a strong enough phrase! Triplets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you and DH feel, has the news sunk in properly? No wonder you're feeling so much morning sickness, lol! Congratulations to you both!

claud662 - fantastic news about your FIL, I'm so pleased. Sending you lots of implantation vibes...

Hi girls -

Ok so u/s didnt go so great. There are 5 follies, but (of course theres a but) on the left theres 1 at 20mm (why? its only day 6) with 3 smaller at around 10mm. On the right only 1 at 16mm. So here we go again with the darn dominant follicle ruining another cycle. I'm waiting for the call, but pretty sure he will want to wait & see how Thursday's u/s goes. This is so frustrating! Its like when he suppresses me then i'm over suppressed, when he doesnt suppress me then here come the dominant follies - UGH!
We'll have to see if the 1 at 20 will continue to suck up all the meds, or if the 3 at 10 can have a chance. Theres no way he'll take me to ER with just 2 mature follies.

Darn it! I thought this was going well this time

Oh Katie, I'm so sorry, I was so hoping for a really great scan for you today. I don't really know much about dominant follicle cycles. How does it work, can they just let the 20mm one ovulate on its own and carry on as normal otherwise? If you do end up with 2 or 3 mature follicles, is it your or RE's decision about whether to cancel? How does it affect self-pay if you cancel, does it count as a full paid cycle or can you start again without paying another fee? At my clinic, my FET in July where I got cancelled because neither embryo survived the thaw counted as one of my funded cycles (I didn't even get to transfer, but it still counts), so if the same applied to a fresh cycle I would want to go ahead to ER anyway, regardless of how many mature follicles I had. And as you read so many times on this board, it only takes one!

Keeping everything crossed for you, let us know when they call. ((hugs)).

katie do your canceled cycles count towards the plan you bought with your clinic? iF so then i would push for the ER. even if there is only 2 mature follies...at least you will have a chance. thats just how i feel. i am always wondering in the back of my mind if only they let me stim a few more days and we tried the ER there mightve been a chance....or if only i went for ER with 2 mature follies...maybe it woulda worked. i dont know...its so hard to figure out whats the right choice. i hope with all my soul that your 10's catch up! dont let them cancel you without a fight!! even if they let the big one over mature there is a chance you can stim until the others become mature and you can do the ER and freeze them for a FET next cycle! thats what my RE said we could try this last time, but my insurance doesnt cover FET's so after buying a new roof that same week it really wasnt an option for us. hjw: the size of your cyst is about mine last time. my re didn't think it's a big one at all. he said as long as it remain the same size or getting smaller, it will be fine.

Please keep us updated what your RE says but I really hope he will accommodate your situation and take you to the ER even if it's 1 or 2 to retrieve!!! thoughts and wishes are with you since you have been such a positive force on this thread and I would hate for you to get canceled. Stupid IVF roller coaster

Katie I am so sorry about your u/s today. I had 1 like that not quite as big of a difference as yours but that was when I started that ganirelix and todays u/s they actually evened out some so hopefully yours will do the same! I agree though if it will count either way as one of your cycles then go for it! I paid for just one cycle so I am not as familiar with the plans that are out there. I will be praying for you!
Laurie do you have a beta yet? We r all anxious to hear.
AFM just now finally on my way home from u/s still 9 follies. Largest is 24 smallest is 18 so RE says he is very glad we waited and that it all looks good. I trigger tonight and retreival will be thursday.He plans to do a day 5 transfer but will decide based on fert report on day 1 for sure what we will do. I guess if the embryos don't look good he will do day 3 transfer. I guess I feel pretty good about it all today. Thanks for all the support from everyone!

dodo - thanks, that's put my mind at rest even more. Now I just have to hope the Gonal-F isn't making the stupid thing grow any larger!

katie - I'm going out for dinner with the neighbours in a minute but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed the whole time that there is a post from you when I get back saying that RE is happy to continue and thinks all will be well (could be interesting trying to hold a knife and fork that way though, lol!)... PMA, PMA...

Hjw thanks a bunch. I am feeling more positive today than ever before in the last 2 years so I sure hope this works! DH just told me he thinks RE has it and that it will work! That made me feel really good to hear him say it! He has a good sence of people and he thinks RE is pretty confident this is gonna work! Yeah! I gotta say that is hilarious about keeping your fingers crossed! LOL!

Hi girls -

Well RE finally called back. He wants me to come for more u/s & b/w tomorrow morning, he wouldnt even tell me tom's AM med dose he said he wants to see me first. He wants to try and go to ER ASAP. WTF? its just day 6 of stims, WTF is my body up to? I dont get it at all. Usually I stim 12-15 days, this last cycle in Sept I stimmed for just 10 days, I thought that was great but if I only stim for 7or 8 days this time will they be mature enough? I didnt even get to ask about him cancelling me, because he's happy that I'm responding so well ( his words!) But I'm of course unhappy about the total. As of right now I have 2 follies, he thinks we might get a 3rd. My body makes no sense! He's called me a poor responder since the beginning! Now magically I'm a super fast responder? HUH?? He seems happy, so I'll go with that, he's thinking ER on FRi or Sat
Boy did this through me for a loop! Crossed your fingers for me girls, i'm gonna need it!

I have to run a quick errand, then i'll do personals & hopefully the list!

Im so annoyed! I kept calling and calling my clinic for the fert report and it keeps going to vm. They're usually good and calls me back within 1/2 hr...but on the day when I'm anxious to hear from them..NOOOO...they just wont call! I had to call another extension to regulate on their ass! They best connect me to my team clinic and let me speak to a live person! Finally!! So a lady comes on the phone and was like "so you want to hear your fert report huh?" No shit sherlocks!! Why the hell you think I've been calling, to hear your voice??!!
Anyways, so out of my 12, 10 matured. and then all she said was 4 embies are looking good. So how many fertilized out of 10?? Only 4?? Give me more info here! Then I asked what's the grade...she said, "it says 4 is looking good, so that's their grade" WTF?? Guys, my embies grade are called "looking good." Not 8A or 5B or 3-1 or whatever, it's Embryo "looking good" She then said my transfer is tomorrow and someone will call me to provide me with more info. The clinic closes at 4:30pm, it's now 3:45pm. Sooo freaking annoyed!! I know I'm suppose to be excited about being PUPO...but damn...Wuuuusaaaaaaahhhhh

They called at 4:15pm...I transfer tomorrow at 10am YAY!!! I'm excited now. I asked this other nurse about my fert report...so I guess out of 10 only 4 fertilized (ICSI) but she said that those 4 looks really great! So yes, I take quality over quantity!! I guess it just surprised me that not even 1/2 fertilized w/ICSI. Also, do you think it's normal to do a 2 Day Transfer?? Last cycle it was a Day 3 for me. Oh wellz, I trust them so tomorrow I shall be PUPO!!
