NOV/DEC 2009 -- Cycle Group

Can't believe I am starting this group, so thought I would be done with IVF by now.

So who is up for Nov or Dec? Keeping my fingers crossed, I should be doing ER the first week of Nov. Pretty much my long history is in my signature. Just comes to lots and lots of failures. Looking to do this last cycle with my eggs which the RE only give me a 10% shot of success. On to DE if it is a bust.

Hi there,

I would love to join if that is ok! I just went through my 1st IVF only to have my heart broken with a chemical pregnancy. I have 3 frozen embies and pray that they stick for 9 months. My regoup visit was today with the doc and he says that we can start BCP after my next cycle which should be in mid october. This would put us transferring around mid december. Do you mind if I ask what your diagnosis is? I am unexplained and I think that I would feel better about it if they atleast knew what caused my IF.

BTW I love your quote... I honestly feel that our journey will be all worth it in the end...

Chris- I am praying not to join this group, as I am hoping all will go well with my FET in a week, but I wanted to wish you luck in your upcoming cycle and let you know that I will be watching and probably crashing your thread often to check in.

Thanks Michelle... Crash all you want, just don't want you to join. My crystal ball is saying that your FET will go off without a hitch and you will get a BFP soon.


Miner_79 - Welcome, sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I figure that must have been rough. How long have you been TTC? My DX was unexplained for many of years. With my second IVF they diagnosed me with diminished ovarian reserve which pretty much means that I don't respond to meds well, won't get many eggs and when i do they are pretty crappy. So much fun. I also hated being diagnosed as unexplained. Since then I have also found out that I test positive for ANA and for ICC which are both immune issues. Seems that I have cells that want to kill off an embryo. I will be doing steroids and doing IVIG to help concur this. My old RE wouldn't even test for immune stuff but my new RE does. There has been lots of success with FET's. Some RE's believe that FET's are better because your body isn't under so much stress from the drugs so I would think you have a great shot for success.

We have been seriously trying for a little over 3 years but not preventing for about 8 years. It is crazy how that works..... You just never think that it would be hard to get pregnant. Go figure!! Anyway.. I hate to hear that you have a diminished reserve.. I will be praying that you have a wonderful responds to stims this time... How long have you been trying?
I have been doing a lot of research on the causes of chemical pregnancies and one of the reasons is due to the immune issues you mentioned. I am very concerned that this could be the reason and requested a test to eliminate this as a cause but he told me that they will not do this until I have 3 chemical pregnancies. This erks me!!! How easy was it for you to be tested for this? I really don't think that I can go through this again..Sorry for the rant. It is still pretty fresh on my mind...
Anyway.. Nov should be here in no time... I am very excited for you...

Thanks Rosario - I need all the cheering on that I can get. I check on the Pg after IVF board sometimes to see if you have posted. I hope everything is good with you and all your babies. When is your EDD? I know it is probably a month or so before a signgelton dd since you have trips.

Miner_79 - I have been TTC over 4 yrs. Funny thing, I went off the pill a month early then we had planned. DH was like great now you will be PG for vacation. Yeah right, see how far that got me. over 4 yrs later and still no PG. Not even one positive PG test. My old clinic is like your and wouldn't test for immune stuff until 3 m/c. My new clinic SIRM is really big into immune issues and tested before I did my first IVF with them. Some DR don't believe in immune issues. I think it is ridicules that you would have to wait that long, go through all the pain and hardship and then find out there might be an issue.

Hey Chris my EDD is 02/14 but they say sometime around Christmas is the soonest they would want to see the babies being born which would be at least 32 weeks gestation. I usually don't post on here anymore just because no one post on the Feb 2010 thread. I do try my best to follow you guys especially you =] Do you have facebook... I'd like to join your group! Miner, I'm here now too. Please note that I will soon be changing my username to HOPE_JOOL as I am no longer on cycle one!

I am scheduled for D&C tomorrow. M/C at 7.5 weeks, stopped growing around 5.5 weeks. I'm hoping we can start the next cycle - FET -- in November. I really don't want to wait long for the next one.

It's great to have a new board (used to be on Aug cycle board) and a fresh start.

I am nervous about the D&C tomorrow though and the bleeding/pain.

Mally - Yes I remember you from last Nov. Can't believe we are still at this. What have you been up to in the past year? I was so hesitant on starting this board. Afraid I might still be here next November. Last year I never thought I would still be here. Hoping that we both get our BFP's this time.

hopeful_cycle_one-- Sorry to hear about your m/c. I know that is not pleasant. Hope the D&C went off without a hitch and you will be good to go for the 2nd cycle. It is a downer that the first cycle didn't work but I think more gals have success in the 2nd cycle.

Miner- How are you doing? Hope you have a Happy B-Day. Wish I was turning 30 again. Do you get your B-day present that you were hoping for?


Hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be going to my nephews 1st b-day party. He is so cute. My RE put me on provera to get AF going. For some reason never got AF last month and it wasn't looking like she was going to visit this month so I made sure they gave me some provera to help it along. As long as AF comes I will start estrace next week for the estorgen priming part of my protocol. 1 more month and I will be on stims. YEAH!!!
