Thank Caroline and Lisa for the aspirin info. I did read aspirin was bad for pregnancy so I stopped taking it for a while and then told my doc...she was not happy that I didn't ask first.

The Old Navy pants sound awesome...I will have to ask my mom to go get me some. She has already bought me a couple of casual outfits and one going-out outfit..I probably don't need much more because I am not working anymore. An ex-colleague and friend also gave me some of their hand-me-downs. I am not buying any baby stuff until after the NT scan..I still don't want to jinx anything.

How is everyone feeling? M/S is definitely gone (knock on wood). I still get massive hunger pains but that is about it. I am waiting to wake up one morning with a huge belly  . Seriously I check everyday and there is not much..maybe I will start to measure :o

1st trimester

Post by heather14 »

Hey girls- We go in for our last us with my ivf doctor today. Hopefully to see the heartbeat again. I have had lots of m/s but it doesnt come in the morning!! I have a hard time keeping lunch and dinner down. My accupunturist gave me a protein powder(lots of protein, veggies all natural) that I make into a shake with rice dream and frozen berries. It feels good going down and stays down.
Do any of you have stuffy noses at night? I do and am going to ask my Doc what to do about it today. Have a great weekend!!

Hi girls,

Sounds like we are all progressing nicely!!! I am feeling so very tired I could take a nap about mid day - sometimes I feel less of it is in my control - so I pray for no long meetings with the projector - with the lights out I just might pass out! As far as hungry, I get hungry but I get full real fast!! Can't wait for next ultrasound scheduled for may 9th (My bday!!)

Hi Ladies....

Congratulaions to all!!!

After 4 years of IUI,IVF It has finally happened! I am now 6 weeks pregnant and just found out that we're having twins. Next week hoping (praying) on hearing the heartbeats.

Looking for some advice on getting throught the next months carrying twins. Health and good eatting habits, exercise etc.

Wanted to pose a questions to anyone and everyone..After reading all your posts,I'm getting nervous...

Beside seeing proof that that I am pregnant, I have NO SYMPTOMS. The girls..feel normal, no sickness, eatting outragous.

Is there anyone out there that is 6 weeks along and has no sysmtoms to help me ease my mind.

Ilook forward to meeting and chatting with you all throught the next 7 months...

Wishing you all a safe and healthy pregancy!

Sue, Mel & Traci....so we finally decided to come over to this thread, but I just realized that we're about to end our first trimester already! So we may not last in this thread long either. I'm glad to see familar names from our "waiting for first scan" thread too.

MaryAnn, congrats on the twins!!! I hit 12 weeks tomorrow with twins. When I was 6 weeks, like you I had NO symptons of pregnancy at all. Actually a couple of days after the 6 week mark I started getting sick all day, everyday! So don't worry about not feeling anything now. Even with healthy twins I didn't.

Tracii, I started measuring my belly...I thought it would be fun to do it throughout the pregnancy. I measured at 10 weeks for the first time (because my pants didn't fit) and I was 7 inches bigger than before IVF!

MaryAnnandScott

Congratulations on your BFP and your twins!

I did not find out until 8 weeks that I was expecting twins (I am now in 3rd Tri and scheduled to deliver them on Tuesday next week! )

I had no obvious symptoms at all. I kept doing HPTs to reassure myself that it was really happening.
I had no sickness or craving and the girls only ached slightly which I always got with AF anyway.

I have been very lucky, I have only noticed swollen ankles in the last week or so and have had mild anemia, I feel rather huge now but I suppose that I should expect it at almost 38 weeks.

All the best for the coming months. Get plenty of rest!!

Take care
Ange

Hi everyone!

Ang - 38 weeks with twins!! Congrats - I hope everything goes very smoothly with delivery!

There seems to be alot of us here - that is so wonderful!

Regarding pants sizes - well I am only 6 weeks one day today, and I already need bigger pants. My belly bloated up during the stimms and never went down. My sister (who is 9.5 weeks) just called - she is on her way to Old Navy right now to check out selection and prices and she is going to call me. Looks like I may have to make a trip there this weekend.

I just went to lunch with my dad to an Italian Restaurant. My family is Italian although I look my mom (who is German) with blonde hair/blue eyes, I definitely eat like an Italian! I ate 3 pieces of bread, a salad, and a plate of spaghetti and meatballs! Now I am like "why did I do that?" I am so miserable and I feel like I am going to fall asleep sitting here. And I still have 3 more hours of work to go! UGH!

At least my nausea is gone - for the moment - lol!!

Have a great weekend everyone! :D

Ang- You have eased my mind! 38 weeks...WOW - everything I've read said you'd be lucky to make it to 37 weeks. I'm so happy to hear that your pregnancy went illness free, I hope all the ladies here have the same!

Lisa - For the amount of time we'll be in our New Clothes...Old Navy is a great buy! and I am also Italian and cook most nights.Trying to follow a good diet  But..My downfall is Italian bread with tomato and mozzerella in a hint of olive oil with fresh basil!!! And I am too 6 weeks 1 day pregnant.. Merry Christmas! But with twins..not sure if i'll be as lucky as Ang!

Have a great night!

MaryAnn, wait until you can see both babies in one ultrasound picture. For my 6 & 8 week scans they weren't visible in the same picture. At the 11.5 week scan both of them were so big (compared to last scan anyway) and they fit in one picture and their body parts are very evident. One was waving its arms all around. It's very neat! I have another scan next week and the week after. That's the fun of twins!!!!

Hi Girls,

Well i have finally managed to post over here, seems weird that i am now 12 weeks, i keep wishing the weeks away. I am not even going to tell most people until i have had my 20 weeks scan, i can get away with it because i am overweight  It will be funny though telling work colleagues. I had a 12week scan yesterday and all was fine, it was just a quick check up as i was so stressed, my proper one is 10th may.

Nice to see so many people over here. Wishing you all happy, healthy pregnancies

love

Hi Ladies

I've been in the hospital since wednesday of last week...sick with severe dehydration, nausea and vomitting...basically I had a case of severe hyperemesis.....it's awful...I was discharged this morning and was feeling terrible and about to return back because my symptoms got worse...I was poked about 17 times while they searched for an IV site....and put on bed rest with bathroom priv....and given nausea meds via IV...my whole diet has been changed...I feel a little better, but thankful to be preggo.

Jamato don't worry, everything will be alright
