Hi Everyone,

I am so sorry I have been missing in action the last few weeks but my job is insane. To make a very long story as short as possible. My company is closing one of its offices, many people are leaving and we are moving whomever is left to our smaller office. I am trying to coordinate the move, the restructuring etc and it has consumed every second of my time. And to top it off my job is one of the ones that is being eliminated so I am doing this pretty much for nothing. Needless to say I have been exhausted and all I have done is come home from work and collapse into bed. I think and pray for you all the time and have so many posts to catch up on but I just wanted to check in.

Me and the baby are doing well. I went for my Level 2 yesterday and everything is looking great. We found out we are having a girl! Even though I could have swore I was having a boy my DH and I are thrilled. I now can go shopping for cute girly cloths and toys. She is measuring a little big (about 20 weeks and I am 19w2d along) but the doc said that is normal. The scan was amazing and I cried throught he whole thing.

Kim - You poor thing you must be frozen. Here in NY it has been pretty cold also but not that bad. You must be so excited that your cribs are there. I bet you can't wait to set them up.

Tasha - Thank you for asking about me. I hope that you are well and that everything is going great for you.

Colleen - I think Auden is a great name. Me and my DH are disagreing on names also. Try to stay warm.

Nicola - I am so glad your scan went well. You must be estatic about it. Husbands are so cute, I think it is so godd for our DH's to see what is going on inside of us. It makes them feel more a part of everything.

Cowgirl - I hope you are doing well. I am so jelous that you live in a place that is 69 degrees. I can't wait for it to warm up here in NY.

Jeck - How is everything going? When do you get to go and meet you little one?

Everyone - I hope you and your little ones are doing great. Time really is flying these days and before you know it we will all have our babies in our arms. I can not think of better people to share this experience with.

My love and prayers are with you all.

Hello Girls,

I am sorry this one is a quicky. I have been on bed rest since Thursday morning and I am to stay this way until Monday's doctor appointment. Thursday morning I woke up with dull back ache and heavy abdominal cramping. It carried on for about two hours. I am now laying on my left side with my legs propped up. They think is was just a false alarm kind of thing, but they want me resting until they can run some more tests on Monday. So, I will try to post when I can, but DH is keeping close eyes on me! I will let you all know what happens.

Stay safe, warm and round!

Happy Friday Girls.... thank god the weekend is here!

Racheal- I'm so sorry to hear your experiencing problems. Please rest and take it easy until Monday... and also keep us posted when you get your results back. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers that everything is ok.

Nance- it's great to hear from you... sorry to hear about your job and all the stuff you are doing for basically free. Take it easy and make sure you rest.... your little girl needs it.

Kim- Ok... is your friend Pam Melton???? Actually I read your post last night and then came into work this morning and asked her. What a small world... she asked me if I wanted to come w/ her to your baby shower since I knew you and all!!! J/K.... too funny! Her & I actually talked about you several times (all good stuff). She knew what I was going through and she told me she had a friend who was going through the same thing... and that you were having twins. What a small world....

Well hope the rest of you are doing well and staying warm.

hi girls... hope that we are all warm and cozy!!

tasha- your job sounds interesting, fun, but i bet a lot of work... how long are you planning on taking off when you have the baby... 6,8,12 weeks?? hopfully we'll have a good summer, one that's not too hot... the time is just flying by and going so so fast...

kim- so cool tha tthe cribs came.... good luck on setting them up, hope that your DH actually reads directions, unlike mine.. we are hoping for our weather to warm up a bit... we are actually in double digits, but windchill is still below the zero mark... the sun is so bright that you get deceived that it might actually be warmer then it is.... keep your little ones warm and cozy on these days....

nance-glad to hear that your scan went well and a little girl on the way.... i think that makes me the only one with a boy so far.... we'll see about kim and nicola.. sorry to hear about the job thing.... the same thing happened to me when i was pregnant with my first. they closed our office and let people go and i was a manager at the time so i was part of the "transition team".. yuck... you have my deepest sympothies.. actually because i lost my job i ended up staying home with my little one, collected severance and then unemployment and finally deceided to stay home full time... The job market was awefull then, and trying to find the pay and the hours was impossable... so that's my story, hope that you are taken care of my your employer...

rachael- just a note to say that you are in my prayers and hope that everything is a-ok... make sure that you stay in that bed with feet up, laying on your leftside.... i know that it's hard to do nothing, especially since you do so much... but please take it easy!!!!!!!

as for us nothing new.... litlte guy is kicking like crazy and acting as active as my other 2... i think that they will keep me busy on my toes!! still trying the names.... my hope is that we'll have a name in the next week or so.... at least i'll feel like i've got something accompished...

I'm so happy.... I just order my hamper, throw pillow, night light, switch plate cover & a picture frame yesterday and they all came today. I just wish I would have looked at where the store was located at... they are in Elgin. So I paid for shipping when I could have just gone there and picked them up myself... oh well! These pieces were not available at Babies-R-Us so we bought them ourselves.

Colleen- Yeah my job is very interesting... I like the fact that everyday is different in some way. We run so many different promotions that it's hard to keep up with sometimes, but I never get bored. I'm looking to take 10 weeks off... 6 weeks paid, 2 weeks of vacation time, and 2 weeks non-pay. This way I'll have almost the whole summer off... more time for me to lose the baby weight.

Well I'll check back in later for more personals...

Colleen-
I know I keep getting more and more excited every day. Well this month I think has been bad... I have had a huge craving for sweets this month (ice cream, cake & frozen coffee drinks). I have put on 2 pounds this week... I know it's not that much, but I wasn't exactly miss skinny minny when I got pregnant... so I want to watch my weight carefully. Yeah I'm planning on breastfeeding.... well at least I'm going to try. My mom tried w/ me and because she was so big I wasn't getting enough food. I'm kind of in the same boat (big breasted) but I'm hoping things will work out for the best. We actually just signed up for our Prepared Childbirth Class... we start Monday March 5th for 7 weeks.. should be fun!

i too am big breasted and it worked for me... just letting you know that being big breasted will be harder untill you find a feeding position that works for you.... i used a side hold which gave more room for baby abd breast... also i do not think that a boppy will work for you.... as for me it did not leave enough room for both baby and breast... i will say that once you get things worked out, it is a very wonderful experience.... but it does take a little while to get to that point, and most give up... so if you can try and stick with it... one other note BREAST PUMP.... if your supply is low then it can totally help you produce more... one more thing... a good nursing Bra....

2 llbs... no biggie.... just watch that it doesn't happen everyweek... then you'll be in big trouble!!

the class is good, my girlfriend just finished hers and she had the same lady that we had close to 6 years ago... are you taking that at st alexius??

Colleen-
Thanks for the advice... I'm going to try and do whatever it takes to make it work. I really think it's beneficial to the baby. Yeah we're taking the class at St. Alexius... I'm hoping we get a great teacher.

If I didn't have you girls I'd be lost... this pace it great for first time moms!

Hi girlies!

Tasha---HOLY COW!!! Yes, my girl is Pammy! That is too freakin' wild! Pam is one of my best friends from college...I love that girl to death! And yes, you SHOULD come to Ohio for my baby shower--no gifts of course. I feel like I know you gals so well, since we share so many details of our lives together....you are more than welcome to come, if you'd like! I'd love to meet you. If you don't come down, then we'll have to try to meet the next time I'm in Chicago....of course, who knows when that will be! I'm glad your nursery items came in. Too bad about the shipping, though.

Nance--I'm so glad to hear from you! I get worried when someone goes MIA too long. Congrats on the girl! That is great news. Does it seem more real now? Sorry about your work situation, that stinks. I hope things work out for you. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Keep us posted, so we don't worry about ya! [BTW--I haven't had a scan in 8 weeks--I think I'm going to go NUTSSS!!']

Racheal--Yikes! I hope you're following doctor's orders. I was wondering if your active pace was going to catch up with you...you've been so crazy busy lately! I'm glad it wasn't anything too serious. But I do hope that this well help you to start slowing down a bit...I know it's hard, but we've got to remember that some major miracles are happening down there. Anyway, enough of my soapbox....I'll be praying for you.

Colleen--Can't wait to hear the name you pick! At least you only have to pick one....we keep putting off the "discussion" about names! Believe it or not, I'm actually going to try to breastfeed too! Some people think I'm nuts, since I'll have to have a baby attached to each knocker, but I always wanted to try....we'll see if I can manage. I was just out to dinner tonight with some friends and they recommended a really good pump. It's the Medella (sp?). They said it's super expensive, but very worth it. Anyone have any experience in this area?

Good night gals...take care of those bellies!

kim- the medela, there are two different kinds (pump in style advanced, and medela lactina), but look for a hospital grade kind... check with your hospital or your doc to see if there are places that rent them, i think that some will give a discount if you have twins... it would be much cheaper untill you are sure the BFing will work... and don't worry about BFing twins, i've know several people who have done it, and worked out well...

I'm lucky in that my sister works in a homehealth care office and got me one of the medela lactina kind... it works wonderfully!! and it's a double so your pump time is cut in less then half...

take care!

Happy Monday Girls....

So it looks like we're in store for some more snow (they are calling for about 6-8")... thankfully it's warmer out so that's good.

Kim- Pam said that you called her this weekend... I'm going to ask her about your shower details and hopefully I can make it out w/ her & Shannon. It would be great to meet you too...

Nicola- good luck getting settled... just remember try and relax from time to time. You don't have to get it all done in a few days...

As for us we're doing good. I made an appointent for a 3D/4D ultrasound for this Saturday Feb. 17th. I can't wait.... and I just can't believe that I'll be starting my 6th month this Saturday (time has surely flown by so far).

Well here's wishing you all a great day and I hope that everyone is doing well!

Tasha
