Hello Preggos!

Babysoft- your story is amazing!!! Congrats to you! Since it is natural youi probably dont have to go through all the shots, patches and drugs now :)

Genessa- i sllep thru the night but am still super tired at work.

Someone mentioned about not working during pregnancy.
I am planning to work full time and study part time till I give birth. I think I would go nuts without my job. At least I have my mind occupied an di dont have time to check for every symptom on line ;) My only symptom is sore boobs.

Children- i dont envy you your nausea, but on the other hand I would like to feel nauseaus, just a little bit, to make sure I am still pregnant.
Thank you for updating the list on the first page. Thanks to Genessa I figured out that you make changes there. I thought you make changes in your file somewhere and I was wondering when you would upload it again. I feel retarded sometimes :)

WHat does MIA mean?

Neffi, I had some problems with the pregnant ladies slang, since I was never on this side on the board, and it took me a while to figure out what MS mean. mornig sickness, as somebody mentioned earlier :)

Irishope- I hope you will feel better soon.

FTG- I love being pampered. I got a hammock from my DH and I spend my evenings napping in it. It is so nice.

I LOVE BEING PREGNANT! I have my 4th U/s tomorrow, I cant wait to see the little peanut :)

unexplained-- MIA is missing in action! I do know that one. I know what you mean about wanting MS. Although I'm fine without is as long as I am updated with u/s to know that everything is fine. Only about 50% of woman get MS so don't be worried. I have sore boobs now too, and heartburn, but that is getting better. As for working....I am working F/T until I deliver then 3 days a week. I wish I could stay home, but we just can't afford it. I'd really like to do one or two days a week, maybe someday.

Thx for explaining the MIA :) I am not planning to be MIA for now. I have the U/s tomorrow and am composing a list of questions to ask my RE before they transfer me to a regular Ob/Gyn. One of the questions is if I can have an orgasm. I know that intercourse is not ok for now, but maybe a least an orgasm in some other way ;) I am really suffering in that matter...

Yes, I read about the percentage of MS, but still I would feel "safer" if I had it. Right now I keep checking on my boobies every hour. LOL

When it comes to working, as I mentioned I work F/T now and taking classes, but when the baby comes, I have 12 weeks fully paid maternity leave and will take one or more month of vacation (also fully paid). Finally working at a state institution will pay off ;)
After my 4 months with the baby, my hubby will have 5 weeks of paternity leave (YAY!) and then vacation of 3-4 weeks.
Then my MIL will come here for 2 months, thn my mom for 2 mos, and then Christmas will come, so we get 2 weeks off, and after NY we will have to start looking for a day-care. There, we got it all planned out. :) I just hope everything goes well.

Neffi- when is your us again?

How are the other ladies doing. Some U/S are coming this week. Keep us posted, Preggos.

Good Morning All,

I hope all is well with you. It is a rainy day in the Windy City.

Just a qucik update on me
I officially graduated to a regular OB/GYN today. My next U/S is on 7/15. in 3 weeks!!! Seems awfully long.

The heartbeat today was 150 bpm, so very good. My due date moved to Feb 8.

My RE was pleasantly surprised by me getting pregnant in this cycle. He said he never had a pregnancy from 2 and 3 cell embrios (he is pretty young). And he congratulated finally :)

Oh, and we can have sex finally. Yay! Although I think we will be very cautious, so that we dont poke our little peanut on the head LOL

Hi Ladies! Sorry for not posting, but I have been checking in.

Congrats on that big 3rd beta Neffi. Looks like all is going right! That must be a relief.

Unexplained - jealous you get to get it on with DH. My RE said no orgasm until 10 weeks because it causes contractions in your uterus. My only issue is I have had some pretty intense dreams, twice I have woke up in an orgasm?!? My friend said it is the progesterone and increased blood flow to the area and she had the same thing when she was preggo. I am going to have to make sure that is ok with RE, not that I have much control over it.

I am working F/T too. Because of the twins my RE said I may have to stop at 6 months. I have no freaking clue how we are going to be able to financially manage that. I own a store and that puts me out mid November! The busiest time of the year of course. Trying not to stress myself out about it too much, yet.

I also have bad MS. Not throwing up, though sometimes I rather I would. It is just sitting in my throat all day. I have noticed if I eat a little something, very bland, about every hour I can at least function. I went to Death Cab for Cutie the other night and was sitting there hoping I had an extra poop bag for my dogs in my purse in case I had to pull it out then and there!! No more late night fun for me.

The cramping issue can be really scary. I think because of all that all of us have gone through to get to this point makes the paranoia of losing it all so much worse. The link below is from BabyCenter.com but they say the same things in What to Expect. It has some good info. Also look up round ligament pain. That can be the quick sharp pains on the side of your abdomen when you change positions or get up. I have gotten them a couple times and has scared the crap out of me. (I sure wish it would have literally done that )

Hope you are all having a good day!

Hi all,

thanks everyone for your updates and greetings, very happy to know that everyone is doing so well. Rubylee, I am sorry that you also have some bad ms and I understand why you would want rather throw up, but trust me, I rather not! I always tried to slow down every motion to avoid food coming out of my nose (apologize to be too graphic!).

I think my ms just subsided a little bit since and I finally don't hate so muc of meal time now. This is an indication of my own progesterone level catches up to cover up the bGC's effect.

Will maintain the big list at least until everyone graduate to regular ob. After that mc rate drops dramatically and we should be able to enjoy the pg much better, hopefully - have as much sex as you wish to then!

Wish I had sex dreams like some of you! I dreamt once about that I had twins and my DD transformed into three - we wound up having 5 infants all of the sudden! After we had found out that we have one fetus, my dream switched to something else, like how to manage not to tell everyone the news at different occasions - we still have not told anyone except for my best friend who often babysits for us. Trying hard to wait until the beginning of the second trimester.

Back to work and hope I can get something done in the remaining hours of the day. Enjoy pg!

Hello Ladies...I to am pregnant and I got my BFP on 6/7/08 and officially on 6/9 w/55 Beta level...my beta was 109 48 hours later 6/11. Then on 6/18 it was 1265 and 2519 on 6/20. I went for a scan today thinking I am 6 weeks 2 days and all they saw was a sac measuring 5 weeks 2 days and a yolk sac. My doc has scared the crap out of me saying something might be wrong since there was no fetal pole or heartbeat. We know my ER (5/26) and ET (5/30) dates and I should be 6 weeks 2 days.

Has anyone else had this problem...measuring smaller then they are? I go back Monday and these next 5 days will be brutal.

smattison-congratulations to you, and it sounds like you are on your way. Welcome! I don't always know that every single baby grows in the same manner. From what I've read on this, its just like our eggs when they were fertilized, and became embryos. They all have their own quality, and growth, and implantation rates. Please don't be worried, and keep up your PMA!

We go for my first U/S tomorrow a.m., and am looking forward to seeing and hearing about whatever we can. My RE scheduled this, and it would be exactly 7 wks by all my ER and ET dates. Wish me luck!

Rubylee-- when did your MS start? I am still having no MS....I did have a little nausea last Thursday and nothing since then. Just heartburn and slightly sore boobs. Hope everyone is doing well.

FTG-- good luck tomorrow!

Smattison-- I don;t know about fetal growth, I can understand why you would be worried, but what did the DR say? There was another girl somewhere that had the same thing, she was like 5 days smaller? When is your next u/s?

Neffi-he walked in the room after the sono and said "sorry guys" and my husband and I just about fell out. Then he went on to say that he was worried and he should have seen more. My next scan is Monday.

smattison,

Welcome and your info was entered on page 1 of this board. From the b doubling time info, your fetus seems to grow normally but a bit late. Both of my pg we only had our first u.s. at 7 wks to see heart beats, hang in there!

Neffi,

My ms started at 6 wks on both of my pg's. But keep in mind not everyone is experiencing the same extent. At my first pg, the ms was mild but never went away until postpartum. This time, it is more severe but I hope it will disappear soon.

ftg,

good luck!

Hello everyone - Well its almost the weekend. I can not wait until I do not have to be a work.

So tomorrow is my 6wk2d u/s I am really excited. I hope we get to see a bit more then a black spec on the screen. We will also be able to confirm it there are in fact two. I just cant wait.

I still have the cramping it just will not go away. But I guess if thats all I have to deal with then Ill take it.

Now my DH and I need to figure out what ob we want to use. We can either go thru my insurance or his. Right now we are using his as it was the better one for the IVF. He wants to make sure the the ob is the one to deliever as some places are on rotations so if its the middel of the night you get the dr on call. To be honest I dont really care I just want to make it that far.

I have a question for you ladies. Are you going to tell people that you did IVF??? I mean with twins people normally ask oh which side has twins but neither side does. So I was not sure if I want to say oh its beaxuse we did fertility. I just dont know if that is something I was to advertise. How are you ladies handling it???

Smattison welcome to the group you are joining a wonderful group of ladies!

Genessa-I think this is a totally personal decision, however if people will ask us, we will tell them. Only a few close friends (not even family!) know that we went this route, and they still do not know the outcome. We are holding on to that for a few more weeks.

Today I had my 7 wk (that is calculated as today), and we saw one gestational sac, fetus, yolk sac, and heartbeat! I cried immediately because its such a great relief to just be able to see it. We were open to 1 or 2 since I had 2 "beautiful" embroys transferred.

The heartbeat is at 136bpm! (Go kid go) I am measuring 6.3-6.7 gestational weeks. My RE said that as long as you are in a 2 wk window because of any number of reasons your fetus might be growing more quickly or slowly at this stage, that all is fine. For my timing, anything measuring btwn 6-8 wk window suffices. She said again its more of an art on how these little peanuts grow vs science.

Please don't worry about measured age, it will be alright. I am being transferred now to my regular OB, and am really feeling great! Hang in there ladies and remember to rest as much as you can, and pamper yourselves...in another 8 mos it'll be a whole new ball game!
