Good morning 8) I hope everyone had a really nice weekend. Welcome all the soon to be Moms!!! Wow we are getting really busy...this is so great :D :D

I have my NT scan on 18.May. Bella I am having it done due to my age...but we all should be aware there are LOTS of false positives with the NT and most woman decide not to do the NT. If it is borderline or high risk, then I will get CVS....hoping all hopes that everything is healthy. Supposedly, depending on the prenatal clinic, during the NTscan they make a really cool DVD of the baby...so I can't wait for this. I think my prenatal clinic has 3-d. I have another normal scan on 11.May with my ObGyn....seems like forever.

I am feeling better and better everyday. My quessiness is now only when I get hungry..which is every couple of hours. I still have these hiccup-type burps. BBs are getting really full...not big but just fuller. I also started measuring my belly..decided I would do this every Sunday.

My DH is being an absolute angel. We really believe the baby is a girl..we both have this feeling and I had a dream last night we had a girl...but of course we don't care what sex the baby is.

Off to the grocery store :D

Just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone and welcome to the new girls. Hope everyone is feeling okay with their morning sickness, etc.

Thanks to all of you who gave me reassuring words about the spotting. You made me feel a lot better! I had absolutely nothing in the way of bleeding yesterday so I am feeling more positive.

Danielle - I am so glad your scan went well! You and I will be having little babies around the exact same time. I wanted to ask - did your doctor take you off the prog. shots yet?

Have a great day everyone!! :)

hello

Please can I join in here? I am just over 5 weeks, after trying for 2 and a half years.

Any advice about the first trimester would be much appreciated. Like a week ago, the thing that made me do a test was that I had mega sore boobs. Now they are only slightly sensitive. I was even a bit nauseous and very very tired last week but all thats gone too. Do you think everything is okay despite symptoms lessening?

I have had a lot of stress and am terrified of something going wrong. Please reassure me................

my 1st scan is 12th May (7 weeks).

thanks

Bella & Traci, get this. I went for the CVS this AM and found out the hospital (leading one in the area) doesn't do CVS on twins because of the risk and inexperience! Wow! My gut was telling me it was a bad idea for the past several days. What a huge sign to confirm that I shouldn't do it. They said I could go to this other hospital (that I've never even heard of) to do it...but too many signs are pointing against it to me after what happened this AM...and with my gut/heart telling me not to do it.

The hospital does the amnio on twins though, so I'll consider that which would be at week 16 and is less risky. After hearing what you both wrote I'll ask the doc about the NT scan. I've never heard of that here in the US. But I should be low risk (no family history of defects and I'll only be 35 for like 2 weeks when I give birth) so I'd prefer to do anything less risky or invasive before doing somethinig more. What an emotional morning...

Terri, I don't think you have anything to worry about. My symptons were different every week from week 6 through this week 12. I laugh about it and always say "my new thing this week is...". Each week for me was different...some lots of symptons, some not much.

Lisa, the bleeding going away is major relief, huh? I feel the same way and everyone's words of wisdom on that topic were so reassuring!

Good Afternoon!!!

Just got back from seeing my babies heart beat - WOW so amazing at 6 weeks 4 days!

And as I mentioned last week..I am also blessed (and count them everyday) that I'm having twins and still no symtoms.

For all my fellow soon-to-be mommies..I'm so enjoying this journey with you.

Best to all...

HI girls- I just returned from an unplanned doctor visit because I had really bad pelvic pressure all day yesterday. Thankfully it was nothing but plain old stretching of my uterus. I also found out that I am slightly dehydrated. I thought that I was drinkind enough water for two but I guess I was wrong. I have been throwing up so that has depleted my hydration a bit.
So moral of this story girls------------drink more liquids, more than you think you need!!!!

On the brighter side of things, I saw two cute little arms protruding today on my scan!!!! It looks like finding nemo right now with arms!!

Wow....lots of activity yesterday! Kristi - I'm glad that you feel relieved. For a test that only shows you what 'might' be wrong with your babies, it isn't worth getting so worried about, and I'm glad at least you have some peace of mind now.

Mary Ann - congrats! Isn't it amazing!!!! It makes you so aware that you are growing a little person - it makes me cry when I think about meeting this person one day!

Terri - congratulations on being pg! Wow....7 weeks is a long wait! Sometimes I wish pregnancy was a lot shorter than 40 weeks. I wouldn't worry at all about symptoms (although I constantly did!). I barely felt anything the whole time, and mine changed every day. I worried myself so much about it that I wasn't enjoying my pregnancy like I should have been. So I made myself relax, keep a diary, and make it your pg journey....and stop thinking about how it 'should' be. Hope this helps to relax - if not, feel free to vent with us any time!

Lisa - so glad to hear you sound a lot more relaxed. It must really mess you around when you experience these things, but reading stack of pg mags (as I have!!!), our stories are just 1 of many! Sometimes it's very reassuring to know it's normal!

Traci - thanks for your advice. This is what I have heard about NT as well - that there can be many false positives. As I am only 29, I don't feel compelled to do the test, and DH is the same. If they make me I will do it, but at this stage I am choosing to skip it and just have a growth scan (which is on the 10th by the way!!!).

Heather - you poor thing! I am finding it hard to drink water at the moment - it makes me feel a bit sick. But I am not vomiting, so hopefully will not be dehydrated!!?? Take care of yourself & nemo!

Bella.

Good Morning Ladies,

Well, DH and I went to a specialist ultrasound OB Dr. whom we were referred to by my OB/GYN b/c of being high risk. Everything looked great, our little beanies were moving alot, well twin a was but twin b kept waving his hands and arms as if he was trying to keep the light off him..I say him...hahahaha...Yesterday I was 10 wk and 6 days, however on the scan it showed baby a at 11 wks and baby b at 10 wks 6 days. Amazing. Our little girl got a chance to see her little beanie siblings. The place we went to has all this advance technology, we heard the baby's heartbeats through the vaginal scan and were able to see our babies on a big screen TV on the wall...I'm happy to hear about the good news for everyone and I pray that it continues. The Dr told me that he does not want me to gain no more than 15 -20 lbs, yeah right..I told him that I will do my best. I'm still sick and have realized that in the morning I will have to get rid of the residue in my stomach which is just some yellowish stomach acid every morning. Then I eat 3 eggs and 2 slices of bread with 2 slices of cheese. I have not added any bacon or anything yet and there's only certain things I can eat that will stay down. I feel somewhat better, but having to eat every 2-3 hours is something else. Of course before I was pregnant I was hungry and could eat and did eat alot, then lost the weight. Now It's as if I'm forcing the food down. I thought that with my being sick and in the hospital that it would've slowed down the babies growth, but they kept going....it was me who was depleated of the nutrients I needed. I find that drinking some warm decaff tea helps to soothe my stomach in the morning and anythime after I have a spell of upcoming fluid....My next scan will be on 5/30, day after memorial day...They also told me that if I monitor what I eat and take it easy that I could possibly stop pre-term labor. They plan on delivering me on the 37th week which would put delivery around the first week of November. I pray everyday that GOD protects all of our beanies and we all have safe deliveries.

Hi girls! Hope you are all doing well.

Terri - welcome and congrats to you on your pregnancy! I tried for nearly 5 yrs too and this is my first time being pregnant so i am sure you and I can relate in a lot of ways. Like Kristi said - my symptoms vary. I am only 7 weeks so I am not far ahead of you. Nausea/queasiness kicked in last week and I have been exhausted! But it literally varies day to day. If you don't get any morning sickness - just consider yourself lucky :) Don't worry.....

Kristi - good for you for trusting your instincts!! I couldn't agree more.
And, yes, it is a relief that the bleeding is gone although now I am a compulsive underwear checker! Guess I'll have to work on that.

MaryAnnandScott - WOW! Isn't is amazing to see those heartbeats! I bet you are overjoyed - congratulations!!

Heather - you were right to go to the doctor. I had a recent scare myself when I was spotting saturday night and my doctor got me in Sunday AM and I got to see the little heartbeat for the first time. I swear I would have gone crazy with worry had I not called my doctor and gone in. I feel like it is always better to be safe than sorry. Congrats on your little nemo - lol. :)

Bella - yes it does amaze me how common bleeding is. I did some searching on the internet and was very surprised. I need to get some of those mags like you have - which do you recommend?

ahart - incredible that you got to see your twins and I am so glad to hear they are so healthy. Also glad you are managing to keep some food down. Not too much longer and you will be in your 2nd trimester and hopefully those symptoms will go away. I have a hard time eating every 2-3 hours too - but just about every woman I know has told me that is key to avoiding m/s. I have gone from 3 to 6 meals a day! The nausea hits me worst in the middle of the night - usually after I have gone more than 3-4 hrs w/o food. So, how does your daughter feel having 2 new little siblings to boss around? That is so exciting!!

Hi to Danielle and Jessica - hope you two drop by soon!

It is so wonderful that there are so many of us able to post on this thread! It's inspiring!

OK I'll confess - 7 weeks along with twins and no symtoms - like LisaB and others I am a TP and undies checker.

I also have been trying to concieve for over 5 years and these beanies are my first. So i am being overly senstive to every twinge and crap!

Reading and responding to all of you have allowed me to learn and apply your lessons.

Thanks to all...Mary Ann

Hey Mary Ann - glad to know I am not the only one analyzing every twinge in my body!!

And it was very brave of you to confess to your TP and undie checking. Maybe we should start a support group?

Hi my name is Lisa, and I am a compulsive underwear checker.... lol It all began when I was on the 2ww, and has carried into early pregnancy. I know I should stop - but it has spun out of control. DH has concerns about water bill rising due to massive increase in daily toilet flushes.

OK - I think I need a nap!! :D

LisaB,

My little girl loves it for now, hopefully she will adjust well to the babies when they arrive. I think she will be okay because she likes to help with almost everything, however my husband and I are aware that she may rebel a little.

So I told you about the CVS test issue yesterday where the leading hospital doesn't do it on twins so they sent me away. After you guys told me about the Nuchal scan I researched that today and scheduled one for Friday. Luckily the hospital had one opening because after Friday they consider me too late to do it. I'm frustrated that I had to find out about this test from you guys and no doctor told me about it...but am so relieved to have a no risk test to give us a good indictator...and glad the CVS didn't happen yesterday (since I'm so low risk anyway).

So I owe you guys a huge thanks for that piece of advice! Trust your isntincts and don't just rely on your doctor...do your research and talk to others. Amazing how I continue to learn about everything that way.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! Lisa and MaryAnne, I can't believe how much TP I go through too! I made that comment to someone the other day and I could tell they didn't get it! Of course you guys do though!

ahart - great news on your scan, thought it was good that you could take your daughter in with you.

kristiA - Glad to see all is progressing well.

Lisa - wishing you all the best with your toilet visits!!!

Mary Ann - it is only natural that you analyse everything, after what we have been through to get this far, who can blame us? I have been preg before but never had a successful one, so for me every twinge straight away i think is bad, because i haven't got anything else to compare it to. It is getting slightly easier to believe all will be ok though.

Good luck all

love

KristiA - I am so glad everything worked out for the best and you were able to get an appointment...life works in wonders :D Are you going to a normal ObGyn or are you still at the RE? I am no longer at the RE but at my normal ObGyn and she doesn't do the specialized tests...so I am going to a specialized clinic for the NT and possibly amnio. All the best for tomorrow's scan...I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what you see :D :D

How is everyone feeling today? Last night I had major bloating and went to bed pretty early...DH is away on business so I had the luxury of sleeping in this morning. I woke up and for some reason I have absolutely no symptoms..stomache seems too flat...I guess I will be reassured next Thur. during my next scan..geez I wish I had a ultrasound at home! Lots of people in the US rent dopplers but I don't think it is allowed in Germany...so atleast I could hear the heartbeat and not freak out.

Is everyone still in normal clothes? I still fit fine in my clothes.
