I'm very rarely on here these days, so a lot of you don't know me.
Just wanted to wish you are the best. Enjoy every single second - twinges and worries and all
There are many pages on this post that I haven't read so I'm not sure how far along you all are. Good luck anyway!

Tracii, yes, I'm with my OB now. I'm excited about the NT scan and so grateful that you guys told me about it. I read that only about 5% of people that do the NT scan get the risky result that prompts them to do the CVS or Amnio. So I'm glad I'm doing this first. Anything with the least amount of risk makes me happy! I have to go to the hospital to the specialist there for it.
I haven't fit in my clothes since about 10 weeks...but that may be because I have twins or because I ate like a pig from weeks 6-10 when I was so sick and food was the only thing that helped.
Oh, also Tracii, I feel bloated at night and just fine in the mornings now. Sounds like what you experienced. I joke and say my babies are mixed up already! Don't let that worry you!

So it seems we are all doing well!!! I am excited for my next ultrasound on tuesday...Otherwise fighting through bouts of nausea but at least I am not throwing up! I also think that my metabolism is kicking up a gear - not because I have energy but because I lost 3 lbs!!! I was feeling fat so I stepped on the scale this am and too my surprise - 3 lbs less!

Traci - Wish I could say the same about my belly. I was quite a bit bloated with tmt (not as much as last time with OHSS though ) and it never really came down, and after a few weeks got worse. So now I look 3 months pregnant! Would be OK but don't want people to know yet and it's almost impossible this way! I'm better in the mornings and it gets worse as the daygoes by. I only fit in the pants that were too big before!!
There is one symptom I have that is mentioned nowhere - thirst! I'm drinking loads of water and still get thirsty almost every evening.
MLG - i feel exactly like you do. I have been bloated since the meds and have only been able to wear my jeans/pants that were too big before. Now they are snug. My DH is like "oh it's so cute with your little belly showing". I'm like - honey the baby is too small for me to be showing - that's just fat! lol!!
It's okay though - I'm enjoying it.
And I have the excessive thirst too - and I pee every 20 minutes!!

I had to laugh at all these posts.............I thought there was something wrong with me...........undies checking and thirst - thought it was all in my head. I had never heard of the thirst symptom either but its got to be one as I haven't stopped drinking. I can't tell if I'm peeing more as I have a weak bladder anyway! I also prod my boobs about 10 times a day to make sure they are sore! If they are not, I worry!
The other day I had cramps for so long I was stood in the kitchen and just dropped my pants to check and DH walked in! He just looked at me and said 'what are you doing'
once I explained, he totally understood!
Have all of you had cramps in the first 6 weeks too? They are not all the time and only last about 10 minutes then go away.
I haven't had IVF but I am mega bloated too, is that normal? I had menopur and the HCG injection.
thanks to everyone for the advice.
I know it is crazy but I want to be sick! I just want to know my hormones are going mad! I bet I'll take that back when I get sick!

It is funny the books never have incredible thirst as a pregnancy symptom. With my first preg in Sept. (which m/c) I knew something was going on because I was always thirsty and now I drink tons of water and fresh squeezed juice. I also crave fruit because it is so refreshing. I get really dry mouth at night...anyone else get this? (almost like I drank a bottle of bad wine)
Terri - I had cramps and still get cramps..it is your uterus expanding and other stuff going on...so don't worry (ha!). I was not a big knicker checker but for the first 6 weeks I was a big BB checker...constantly poking (and in public too!)...DH thought I was crazy. ...actually I think we are all very sane
I hope you dont mind me going the thread and adding my experiences and worries. My name is Paula and my DH and I had a BFP on the 19th April and have counted our blessings every since. Our little one is due on Boxing Day.
I had my 6 weeks scan on wednesday and we found we have one little one with a heart beat of over 100, which the doctor said was good. he them disharged us from the hospital and advised me to go to the GP from now on. I found this quite odd and was hoping for another scan at 8 weeks before being discharged, so im hoping i can persuade my GP to get me scanned at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks.
I had cramp all day yesterday and was wondering if anyone else experienced this after their scan. I was worried all day.
I have some wierd symptoms yet, I crave tomatoes, I do get a lot of headaches which I guess is normal. One symptom I have been getting is that my ' under carriage' sorry couldn't think of anything else to call it, gets uncomfortable and aches or feels crampy. Is this normal? I must admit I am a little worried. I must admit I felt to embarrassed to ask the doctor.
Im never off the loo which is unusual and I have read on the internet it is a form of morning sickness. I had never heard of this before.
Im not sleeping very well due to pains in my hips and was told this is a hormonal thing which is something else I had never heard of.
I suppose we are all different and after everything we have been through we all react in different ways.
Like many of you I am constantly in the loo checking my undies and am paranoid at the slightest twinge.
Has anyone been suffering from nightmares? I had a horrible one last night, I thinks its was because of the cramps I had all day yesterday and the worry of what it could mean. On the other hand my Dh had a dream we had a little boy and when he was born he could already talk. The mind boggles!!!!
Reading the other comments we are all truely blessed and I am so happy for everyone.
Girls cramps are normal!!!!! Some women get cramps similar to AF - and I have to say that mine were the worst between 5-6 weeks!!! This is generally due to the slow down of your digestive system which of course leads to uncomfortable constipation...Unless your cramps are accompanied by bleeding I wouldn't worry!!!
I am also an obsessive toilet paper/undies checker and boob squeezer!!! Its crazy!! This week I have started to experience some mild heartburn here and there and nauseau - which passes fortunately without throwing up....Other than that I am soooooo tired, I swear if nap time was allowed at work I would be there...I am afraid to nap at lunch thinking I might wake up late!!!!

That happened to me once, Jessica. I fell asleep in my car on my lunch hour and slept right through a meeting.
I had the Nuchal scan this AM. I called it a "play date with the babies" because I watched them for 45 long minutes. They were moving all over. I had to run up and down the hall to get one of them in the right position. One of them even smacked the other upside the head. It was hilarious to watch!
Paula, your symptons all sound normal. Just the fun of pregnancy where we wonder/worry about every little thing. We all can relate!!

does anyone know if its safe to have a tetanus when you are pregnant?
I want to volunteer dog walk for the RSPCA and they won't let me unless I can prove I've had it and i am sure its 10 years since i had one! My doctor doesn't have record as I was in Australia for 7 years.

I have missed reading your posts. I have had a busy few days. It is the end of the semester and I am knee deep in marking final exams and calculating final grades.
Last week, I had some crampy feelings. And do you remember the nausea?...well on Thursday, it disappeared. And by Friday, I was feeling like my pre-pregnancy self. Good, you say??? Well, I freaked out. I immediately called the doctor's office and told the nurse my "symptoms." She consented to bringing me in for a scan. Thank God that everything turned out OK. I saw the babies' hearts beating. They were also moving around. They were so cute. I almost cried with relief. The doctor then came in and told me that I need to relax. As if that were possible.
I am soooo glad that someone has mentioned the tp checking. I, of course, check the tp before going to the bathroom every hour on the hour. The other day, my husband finally looked at me with concern and asked when I was going to relax. I think that that is a really good question? When you go through everything that we have gone through in order to get to this point, at what point do you relax?
KristiA, wow your "playdate" sounds awesome. My husband and I are having an nt done on 23 May. Since we have twins, we also are worried about the risk of doing amnio or cvs.
Jamato, I know what you are saying about the naps. Every afternoon, around 1 or 2P, I sleep for two hours. Yesterday, I was unable to get my nap and around 2P, while driving to Sears, I fell asleep in the car. I woke about an hour later with my husband looking at me with amusement.
Pjpalmer, welcome and congrats on your beanie. You know if you just ask outright, you might be able to find out how often your insurance coverage (because I think that we all know when some doctors are answering our questions, they are tailoring those answers to our insurance coverage) will allow a scan.
Tracii, Lisa, and Terri2, I have intermittent thirst. One day, I will not be able to get enough water and the next day, I have to force myself to drink. Weird, huh?
OK, guys. I am off. I spent three hours in Sears yesterday buying appliances (Yay for 20% off!!!) and there was nowhere to sit. And I had that abbreviated nap. So, I am still terribly tired. As always, I am sooooo glad that you guys are here. It really helps to "talk" to people who are going through many of the same experiences. Let's hear it for the tp checkers!!!
Roz, I agree. With twins I'm afraid to do the CVS or Amnio. I suppose even with 1 baby I'd feel that way. Any minor amount of risk scares me I guess. We've come so far to get pregnant! I'm hoping the NT scan results will give me a great indication that I don't even have to consider the other tests. Good luck on yours in a coupe of weeks.
Looking forward to hearing how Jessica's scan goes tomorrow. I hope it turns out well for you, as you want it, and you aren't left with tough decisions to make.
Hello to everyone else! I guess we'll all be alittle happier this Mother's Day, huh?
