Hi Everyone,

KristiA - Bed Rest is something else, I get up as much as possible b/c I'm on partial bed rest, still not working and don't plan to return to work. I think the humiliation alone would get the best of me..with the uncontrollable bladder everytime I purge...I feel better than I did before I was put into the hospital. It's just that I can't lift too much and can't do alot of things so it takes some getting use to, other than that I'm okay. I was released from my RE on 5/5/06 and he completed my leave paperwork up to that point, now my OB DR has to continue the paperwork trail....I'm showing as if I was already 6 months....I feel like it and was informed that around my 20th wk I will have to visit my DR every week and around 28 - 30 wk total bed rest....I feel trapped in the house...but DH takes me for a walk around our neighborhood every night so it's not that bad....

Jamato - I'm so happy everythings okay, keep up the good spirit

I have alot of pressure in my pubic bone area and lower stomach therefore I may have the clerclage put in just to be safe. I know see a High Risk Specialist along with my OB dr. They said everything looks okay. I still have some brownish bleeding from time to time but nothing major, DH said that we have to stop the intercourse because it may cause something to break away....We were informed that it was/is ok but as a safety measure looks like that will cease for a while anyway. I guess he's just concerned because afterwards I have that discharge.

Hi Ladies

Traci - I'm so glad that you have lost symptoms and everything is OK. Image I have practically no symtoms now :? (apart from having to eat every 2 hours) and even my belly is slightly smaller (but the I did have a bit of over-stimulatinon, and that's supposted to dissapear till about the 10th week) so I'm starting to feel scared that my beanie is going away. :( I feel good otherwise. :)

Ahart - I feel for you, beeing "closed" up in your home and having to deal with the bleeding. Image Hang in there honey, it's for a good cause.

Lisa - Must be a relief to have had annother successful scan! Image I can't wait for mine on the 22nd! :? :) I have same big belly since egg retrieval as you. :?

Hope everyone has a good weekend Image

Ahart, you have your hands full. Glad to hear you can get up and out of the house for walks a bit. Thank goodness there's a huge reward/blessing/bundle of joy at the end of your journey to make it all worth it.

Sounds like most of us are losing the m/s just the "the books" say abou the 2nd trimester. It's nice to have some energy back!

Glad to hear everyone's scans have been so fun too! The movement at 12weeks-ish is amazing, isn't it? Traci, I can't believe you saw the baby sucking it's thumb! That's one to write down in the baby book/journal!

Hi everyone
Congratulations Dottie :) Well done! All your hard work is finally worth it! Good luck with your first scans.

Congrats on the big new instant family Jessica! Make sure you take it extra easy now!

Bella, happy to hear your nuchal went well, its amazing to see baby in there isnt it! I had a second scan this week, after a small scare when M/W couldnt find heart beat right away with the doppler (longest 30 mins of my life) however all is well and beanie is jumping around like a fully fledged frog now!

Hope everyone else is good, special congrats to you Sue, youve gotten this far and your little beanie is a survivor who is in there for keeps! (well next 26 wks anyway)

Anyway for all on this thread ...

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Its mothers day in New Zealand today, so spreading the mummy dust and wishing you all well. Put your feet up for a well earned rest

Mel, I saw your post and thought "oh it's Mel, I feel like I haven't heard from her in awhile". I read your post...then saw the 14 weeks 1 day ticker and said "hmm, this must be a different Mel than the one that I know who tested with me, first scanned with me, etc". Then it hit me "Oh my gosh, I'm 14 weeks already"!!! Time sure flies! I can't believe we've made it this far already. Glad to hear you are doing well!

1st trimester

Post by pjpalmer »

Hi,

I had my 8 weeks scan yesterday ( a little earlier) and I was blinded science. Not only did i have to wait for 1 1/2 hours to be seen, but the person doing the ultrascan was really rude.

They told me that the crown - rump length was 14.4mm and the yolk sac 4.4mm. On my notes she put satisfactory and when I asked her if these were nomal she said they were ok.

she also put my dates behind by 2 days as they work out your pregnancy on the day of ET and not EC.

Can anyone tell me if these measurements are good?

Your measurements sound great! I had a scan at 7 1/2 weeks and my baby's length was 8.3mm and the heartrate was in the high 140s. My doctor said everything looks perfect.

Too bad you had a rude person. I hate it when that happens. Hopefully you will get someone nicer next time. :)

Hello to everyone else - hope you are all doing well!

Happy Belated Moms-to-be Day!

Just got back from the doctors office ( I am still seeing the RE for another 3 weeks and also seeing my OB for the first time tomorrow) smooth transition.

Saw Baby A and Baby B (arm buds today) and they were moving around...

Heartbeats were 171 and 184 (and if myth holds true) they are Girls!!

So at 9 weeks still the only symptom I have is wanting / needing an afternoon nap (which can't happen - I work). No sickness at all! A little sensative to certain smells, and lastly, boobs are a bit fuller (and I wasn't small to begin with) and pants are tigher  .

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Wow A lot to catch up on! I was in Vermont for several days with my DH doing some work up there. Well he was working. I was being lazy and lounging around. Im home now and I see that everyone is doing well.

I have my 2nd Ultrasound tomorrow at 1:30 and I am so excited to see whats grown in there in 2 1/2 weeks!

I also stepped on a scale today for the first time since starting my treatment. I was actually shocked. I was slightly underweight when I strted treatment. I am 5'8" and I usually weight around 130. I was 120 when I started the injections ( lupron ) and now at 8 weeks pregnant, I weighed 141 pounds today. I knew they said that the hormons make you gain weight faster. but geeeezz!! Did anyone else gain this much weight? I really didn't think I was even really eating enough..

Lisa! you ready for your vacation! I might drive down and join you even though I should really be at the gym!

Jamato - Great to see that everything is going well and that the twins came along a bit.

Ahart - I am sorry your on bedrest, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Kristia - Glad your doing well and I am suprised that your 14 weeks... I was just starting treatment when you were about to test.

MLG I am glad to see that your doing good and everythign is coming along!

Happy Belated Mothers day and Mothers to Be Day!

Big hugs to everyone! I will pop in and let you know how the scan goes tomorrow. Also I have scanned all my U/S scans into my yahoo photos. Maybe if I can figure out how to do it I will scan tomorrows in and post a link to the pictures!
