Danielle - I had my nurse's interview today - basically that is just when my regular OB's nurse sits you down, takes blood & urine, and asks a million questions about family history, past pregnancies, etc. Anyway - when they weighed me I realized I have gained 11 pounds since beginning of March! So I am right there with you. Only I am 5'3" so it shows a lot more on me. I am excited about my vacation - just not the part about wearing a bathing suit - lol!

I will call you tomorrow to see how your scan went! GOOD LUCK! :D

Hi all!

so exciting so see so many of you here!
RE: the weight - I gained 6 lbs almost immediately which was v.scarey as I've been one of those annoyingly lucky people who NEVER gains weight no matter what (I couldn't blame on meds as mine was natural FET cycle!). Well, I decided to weigh myself just once a week, and after the initial 6lbs it went down a few and back but pretty much stayed at that. Until last week when I stood on the scales and it went up 4lbs - in one week!!! So have decided that there's nothing that I can do to stop it so will make the most of eating exactly what I want (within reason of course!!!) and blaming weight on the baby!!!!

Best of luck to all!

Well I guess I am the lucky one!! I have only gained 3 lbs - which I am thankful since I am only 5'0" !!!

On another note we have had to face a difficult decision and have made that decision - so we will be continuing this pregnancy as a singleton pregnancy going forward....

Jessica,

That decision must have been very difficult for you and dh. I completely understand why you are doing it. Triplets are so risky - especially given your incompetent cervix. And you said you are only 5'0" - sounds like you are much too tiny to be taking on a triplet pregnancy. I am petite too and didn't want to risk triplets - which is why I only had two embies put back. Then the thought of twins even scared me - though I would have dealt with that. Needless to say, I was relieved that it was only one beanie in there. You are doing the right thing for yourself and your baby, but I know I don't need to tell you that.

Just wanted to let you know that I support you 100% - as I am sure we all do.

Thanks Lisa,

Your support means a lot, I also only had two embryos put back but one split! We were counceled by a specialist and given all the scenarios this is the right decision...I know I am doing what is best for baby and mommy, I didn't even know my life was at risk too, due to the incompetant cervix, my spondylosis, my height and the fact I am rH - and hemmorages are a particular concern in that case! Not to mention past history!

Jamato - I will continue to pray for you, I know that was a hard decision to make, I just prayed that all you and all babies would be okay. I have been sick and have not been up on the boards but last I knew all 3 were fine, not sure if this was selective reduction or if there was a problem. Try not to worry and get plenty of rest and always keep faith in GOD that he is always there and will always work it out if you let him.

Hello everyone!

Scan went well for the most part. Dh and I heard the heartbeat it was at 140 (which made me think oh good a boy!) The baby measured 20.2 mm which was perfect for this time.

But then the doctor said I am concerned about this pocket of fluid between the uterus and the placenta. But dont worry because its small. We will just recheck it again in 2 more weeks..??!!??? Don't worry??

Okay so I am sitting here Not Worrying!!??!!! and wondering if anyone else had a pocket of fluid on their 8 week ultrasound..

Jessica - I was really worried for you carrying triplets. I know you were hoping for some nautral selection, but I am sure you are doing the best and most healthy thing for you and your family. So I/we are behind you 150%!

I am posting the US pictures on my Yahoo Photos page and I will put a link on here if anyone wants to see =)

Big hugs!

Danielle

Hello all,

From me too Jess, big hugs on your difficult desicion. Your giving yourself and baby the best of all chances this way, and I hope thats a comfort knowing how hard it must have been to make this call.

Daniel sorry to hear your have the new worry, am sure it will be fine, but can you see if you can get an earlier scan or hound them for more info? Hang in there

On lighter note, its absolutely bli*kin freezing here mid winter, so the thought of rollicking around on a beach in a bikini, as scary as that would feel right now, is also pretty inviting, so enjoy Lisa and Kristie. Kristie I ready your post earlier and you must surely be suffering from preggy brain already! 14 weeks though, cant believe myself how fast its gone, but when you know you been pregnant since the day of conception and then add the wait before hand, honestly it feels like I hv been pg for 6 months or more!

Any of you girls feeling a little better and less sick yet? Finally feel re energized (well not quite enough to make it to the gym of course!)

Hmm and whats the 140 bpm meaning thats a boy wives tale? Cheesy but like that kind of stuff, cant wait to find out, tho DP has decided we shouldnt (have to talk him round!) Bub had 155 bpm at 12 wks so does anyone know if portends boy or girl??

HOpe your all good

Jessica - I am so sorry you and DH had to make such a tough decision - but the doctors have informed you very well..I know it could not have been easy but when it comes down to risking not only the lives of the babies but your own - you need to do the right thing.

Just came back from my NT scan...everything looks great :D We are waiting for bloods to determine if we will do amnio or not. The baby was sleeping during the scan and doc kept trying to wake her up. She was sleeping with the back of her hand against her forehead (very dramatic...like she had a tough day!).

Mel- yes I am too feeeling better. For me weeks 6-8 were the worst, like I had the flu or something. I have not thrown up in a few days either.
How is everyone's back? Mine has been hurting alot lately. It is down low right in the middle of my spine. I am going to call Doc to see if I can do something about it.
I am having withdrawls from not going to the Doc. It's so hard when you are used to going all the time during ivf!!!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend.

Oh yeah my baby will have a cousin the same age!! My sister just found out the she is due Dec 30th. A few weeks after me!!!

Mel_P,

When I was pregnant with DS his heart rate leveled at 150 and pretty much stayed there...

Thanks for the warm wishes - we do feel confident that we are doing the right thing - so we are accepting that....

Girls,

Thank you all for you best wishes and support, it means a lot!!! We are coping pretty well with our decision cause we know its best and considering I have 3 doctors and they are in agreement - then I know we didn't make a hasty decision!

Heather,

I agree I was really nauseous from 6-8 weeks - this week has been much easier on the tummy....
